Prob be looking at Yorks for the big group. I think we can only cope with going with friends, particularly such a big group, and especially with so many children, for a weekend Will be looking for one big place so no one has to leave their LOs unattended at night. We don't expect to go out (other than sending someone out early in the evening for a curry ) but it is nice to all unwind and catch up over a few bottles of wine after the LOs are all in bed.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 16/01/2009 09:01

morning girls anyone up?
kids had me up since 7 the joys!

ellen WONT let me put a nappy on her.. shes had an accident eating her breakfast, no successful wees yet, but when i suggested a pull up to save my floors she screamed and said "no no nappy, no baby" bless her
when i ask her if she needs a wee she says "no not yet" bless

this whole thing is feeling very weird to me as tom will not entertain the idea of weeing anywhere other than his nappy, and hes nearly three

girls must be easier i suppose, either that or ellen is just weird!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 16/01/2009 09:07

Also been up since 7 Natty Though DD went back for a nap at 8.20 . I'm going to have to go wake her now though as we are going out in half an hour. Catch you all later!

happynewRia · 16/01/2009 10:06

happynewRia · 16/01/2009 10:08

too far north jammy?

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 16/01/2009 12:10

Morning all

Jammy, really sorry to hear you are feeling so shit. Feel free to vent on here and hope you feel better soon. I understand sometimes you don't want to face up to how you really feel, but don't be afraid and think the worst. If you do talk to someone you may be able to find a way of working round it rather than assuming these things are unworkable. Ask yourself is DH really making you unhappy, or are you just feeling irritated by him because you are feeling down anyway. I say this as someone who continually suffers from thegrassisalwaysgreenertis and worry that I am not happy in my situation, but it is more about me than the situation IYSWIM?

Anyway, today I am going to take lunch round to my friend who has just had her second baby (also with a June 07 baby!). I'm taking pasta, quiche, caeser salad, pitta and hummous and I have just made the most fanatastic and not too unhealthy muffins, with a few tweaks, I added blueberries and some maple syrup, yummy!

LackaDAISYcal · 16/01/2009 12:32

Natty can you get her some potty training pants? Mothercare sell pants that have some terry padding in them they'll hold one wee I think. Or at least any dribbles that'll happen on the way to the potty/toilet.

I'm hoping that DD will decide anppies are for babies pretty soon and I can get her trained quickly. DS was a nightmare and wasn't fully daytime trained until well past his 3rd birthday and we still have nightime issues now.

I have hoovered

only the living room and hallway, but still. DH should notice (he has new socks that moult all over the floor - yuk). It was so tidy 10 mins ago that baggins actually sat down and played with a toy for a few minutes, instead of mining his toys into a heap.

I am bored again. Dsis said that we were going to go walking together every Friday in the new year... 2 Fridays in and nothing! This week she didn't even say she was too busy, it just wasn't mentioned at all.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 16/01/2009 13:25

ellen asked for a nappy again lol.. too much like hard work for her
those pants match her potty daisy lol!

i am bored too ria. house is pretty tidy, have nosed my way thru new mothercare catalogue, kids are feed and washed.. dunno what to do now.
we could go virtual walking?

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2009 14:06

I never do things by halves.

DH has just sent off an email trying to get a mortgage.
For a place in Aus.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/01/2009 21:54

hey sputnik

gosh we're all a bit quiet at the minute!

I'm on my third largish glass of wine (last of a half litre pouchy thing DH brought home from work. I'm going to have a sore head in the morning!

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2009 22:03

You'll sleep well then Daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 16/01/2009 22:06

here's hoping! dh is on ebm duties!

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2009 22:09

Expressed before or after the wine ....that'll make Bumble sleep as well....

DH and I have got to sleep in the same bed tomorrow night as my mum is staying.....and the only way he can sleep through my snoring is to have a few drinks.....so if I go into labour, its a cab to the hospital

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 16/01/2009 22:40

lol norty, that made me chuckle, had an image of drunken DH telling you to breathe LOL!!

LackaDAISYcal · 16/01/2009 22:50

lol norty, just don't tell cab company you are in labour; some of them don't like taking pregnant women incase they leave a mess!

right, whole point of expressing (during the first glass of wine ) was that I could have an early night...and here I still am

I think I might have a sore head in the morning!

OP posts:
NattyPlus2andAHalf · 16/01/2009 22:54

make sure u take a towel to put on the seat, cab drivers are more likely to take u then
