good plan sputnik

FWIW I'm still waiting for DH to get the boxes from the loft for me to put the xmas stuff away, now I know it was the weekend he hurt his shoulder and all, but... I am also still waiting for the shelf, and for the garage to be sorted out (i have done my bit ages ago, his is still sat there) It drives me mad at times, the rest of the time I think, if you can't beat em.... On work days sometimes he has 3 baths (before work, on his break and before bed). Obviously I'm grateful for this because stale chef is not a good smell, but that nearly amounts to 11/2 hrs, which could amount to massive achievement.

MEN!!!

{{{{{hugs}}}}}} jammy.

We are drowning in a sea of clutter and not being able to find things as well. But it's DH who is more organised than me We need to get the decorating done and the walls will need replastering and some rewiring done, but the other rooms are so full of crap clutter that we have nowhere to put the living room furniture. So nothing gets done.

I've got a windy unsettled baby again today

But we are starting to see some sembalnce of routine emerging from the chaos of the last ten weeks. sort of GF plus or minus two hours .

dkma doesn't talk to us any more either

jbm pops in now and again usually late at night after work i think.

butterfly is around on other threads.....if I see her I'll hound her back on here

Oh Jammy ...fucking men! You rant as much as you need to....this is what its all about on here....sounds like you've had a really shit day...I think Sputnik got it though when she said its probably down his list of priorities rather than what you want isn't important.

I remember my dad used to open his post and leave it on the table....every day....write down telephone numbers etc on the back of envelopes and then have huge rows with my mum cos she had tided them up and thrown empty envelopes away ....one day they had the wheely bin out to find a cheque for £500 that had been slung cos he'd just left it amongst a pile of shit.....he tried a bit harder after that.

Perhaps Sputnik is right and DD should grab something she shouldn't......

and you shouldn't put off counselling.....it allows you to say whatever you like and no-one will ever know and you will feel so much better. I've had two lots of 8 sessions of counselling and would definately recommend it, and have discussed and admitted things I never have to any human being before....

{{{hugs}}} to you....have a large G&T tonight, bollocks to DH and tomorrow is another day xx

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 17:06

my DH does that too norty. Eventually I load it all into a carrier bag for him to sort out on one of his mammoth 2 day paperwork fests! (have had that discussion again this afternoon - that if he did the paperwork as it came in, and I did the ironing as it came off the line, neither of us would have to waste whole days catching up. Won't do any good!)

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 17:29

Well, the day got a bit better. I booked a holiday for us and my parents at the end of March Things got a bit later but nothing to do with DH. Jamlet has suddenly plonked herself on my lap and is almost asleep. I hope it will be an early night for her then as I still have 2 hours work to do before I can have that gin I want so much!

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 17:34

glad you feel a bit better jammy.
where are you going with your parents?
come back later when you have your gin!!!

how wrong would it be to have a small glass of wine with my tea?

oh, I'm tired, wish it was bedtime!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 17:41

East Devon. Search www.welcomecottages.com for property reference number W3702. And if you are interested look for property 18212, which is where we are going with my ILs in Sept.

LittleMissNorty · 15/01/2009 17:44

Glad you're day improved Jammy....

Have a glass of wine for me Ria

Can you believe I had to wear a pair of sandals today (that I bought in the last stages of pg with DD) as that's all I could get on my feet ....and I don't do sandals without nail varnish, so was like a contortionist (?sp) putting on nail varnish before I went out today.......

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 17:47

Oh Norty, poor you!
Have some wine Ria

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 19:04

ooo, chilly norty. though slob that I am would have passed on the nail varnish. I went out with no socks this morning as jumped in the car for the school run just to check on my grandparents graves, but DH took me out for breakfast and into town to take back the broken bread maker

My new half-price crocs came todayand i have ordered some more

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 15/01/2009 20:29

evening,
so sorry you've had such a shitty day jammy,
im in desperate need of storage, but its all so expensive, i just cant afford it, plus a lack of a car means getting it home is a nightmare.

had a bad day myself. kids been hard work, miserable and naughty. im so tired.

did have some bizzare news this morning tho.
ellen asked DH to use the toilet and promptly wee'd in it for him.
i swear shes too young to potty train?
shes been telling me she is doing a wee/poo, and also has the odd sit on the loo when im brushing my teeth. but i never thought she would actually do it.
have dug the potty out for her to try tomorrow if she wants, no pressure but if she wants to train then im all for it, one less child to change at nappy time.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 20:29

My parents had to return the breadmaker we got my mum for her birthday in november because it was faulty. Wonder if it was the same make?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 20:32

Cool Natty.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 15/01/2009 20:34

how u feeling jammy? got ur gin?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 20:43

Feeling drained but OK. And haven't got the energy to go get the gin atm

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 15/01/2009 20:47

aw hun... have some virtual gin instead passes g&t to jammy

hope tomorrow is better for you

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 20:53

Thanks

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:20

cookworks I think? anyway they offered to refund or replace, so I went with the refund, and bought a "nudgy" (DS2s word) for the Wii instead I didn't use it nearly as much as I thought I would (the kids could eat a loaf over breakfast and lunch, so it just became another chore) and I need the worktop space now I've bought the slow-cooker (I will use it more than twice, honest guv), so really it was a blessing in disguise (apart from having no bread the other night)

am off to look at your cottages jammy... there's always energy to pour alcohol into a glass! how are your sewers?

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:23

OMG. property 2 very swanky (that's the kind of place I feel I should be living in), and I love the first one. I am

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:30

here is my favouritist of all holiday cottages, but sadly no photo, and I'm not 100% sure it's still let off as last time I contacted them it was a private let.

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:34

my parents stayed somewhere very similar to this the week before DS1 was born (we lived just up the road then)

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 21:42

That first one sounds nice Ria.
And yes the 2nd of ours does sound v swanky! Couldn't believe it when I found it. ILs very impressed. FIL fancies a go at snooker now! And the pool will be great with DD of course.

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:42

sorry to be boring, but I love looking at holiday lets! I fancy W380, but a) my parents caravan is about an hour away so would seem like a waste of money and b) can't go back to the lakes for long as DH gets wistful!

But!!! 17997, if you go a floor up and to the left of the photo (where the building ends). That's our old flat!!! There is a gorgeous Italian restaurant on the ground floor

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 15/01/2009 21:48

I like looking at holiday lets too. Those 2 look nice too Ria. See what you mean about being a waste going close to the caravan though.

My next task is to find somewhere for a weekend for 4 couples, one of which has 2 boys aged roughtly 4 and 7, one has twin girls aged 3.5, one has a 2.5 year old boy and then we've got jamlet! And somewhere for me, DH and jamlet to go to in France for a week!

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:52

how far do you want to travel jammy, and do you want to be in the same building or adjoining apartments?
I'm not so good on abroad I'm afraid. You are brave going away with friends. (although barring my parents we haven't any friends or family we would go away with. I have been with Dsis a couple of times, once to that farm cottage - with my parents - and once camping. They go to bed too early!)#
I have to say though, I prefer paper brochures to looking on-line when it's just for fun - you can relax in the bath with a glass of wine with a booklet!
