Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LittleMissNorty · 13/01/2009 13:26

Well I'm still at home ....having had a 2 hour nap (and DD 3 hour)..I'm really struggling to motivate myself! My exciting afternoon will consist of going to Boots for some steriliser descaler sachets........if I can get any shoes on my feet!

Hope the house is coming on OK Fairy....enjoying being close to your parents I hope.

Sputnik · 13/01/2009 13:53

Just use some vinegar Norty.

How are you settling in in your new house Fairy?

LackaDAISYcal · 13/01/2009 16:51

gosh quiet here today.

Just popping in quickly to say Thank You Natty Secret Santa . The little keepsake gift is lovely.

It's a "New Mum's Survival Kit"; a lovely little organza bag with some bits and pieces in and a wee explanation:

some foil because motherhood makes you shine
an eraser because every mum makes mistakes
a candle for when you are burning one at both ends
A piece of jigsaw puzzle because you're an important part in your child's journey through life
marbles to replace the ones yu will lose
tissue to dry the tears, baby's and yours
a starburst sweetie for energy when yours is low
cotton wool balls for when you can't hear yourself think.

It's really sweet

LittleMissNorty · 13/01/2009 17:02

Oh that's lovely

Could do with the cotton wool balls here as DD is angrily refusing chicken korma and rice

Sputnik · 13/01/2009 17:06

What a lovely idea
Can I have some marbles too please

MyTakenIdentity · 13/01/2009 17:10

aww that's lovely

FrazzledFairyFay · 13/01/2009 19:19

That's lovely. A large bag of marbles is required here too

LackaDAISYcal · 13/01/2009 19:57

ha, there were only two....I suspect I might need more than that already

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 13/01/2009 19:57

When my Dad was 60 (crikes that's some time ago!) one of his friends gave him a bag of marbles, with a note in the card saying "for when you lose yours". But the same friend also gave him a set of juggling balls. And my parents didn't see the joke when I queried which gift the note referred to!

Ohforfoxsake · 13/01/2009 20:34

Evening ladies

What a lovely gift Daisy! Well done Natty, just lovely

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 13/01/2009 21:48

aw glad you got it ok daisy
shame it took me so long to getting round to sending it, its the middle of jan ffs

thomas reached a new low even for him today, he spat at a man on the bus 'because he was scary'

dunno where everyone has been lately.. weather is crap so you cant ALL be out!

MyTakenIdentity · 13/01/2009 22:30

I'm here now. Trying to order a pair of crocs in the sale on empire stores and I can't remember my fecking password, or which email address I had last time I used my account.

I do just have to say -

THANKS FUCK FOR THAT!!! DH has met with the directors tonight and they have bribed convinced him to retract his resignation (which now means I don't have to shout at him about being a twat prima donna chef and responsibilities and how he should be grateful for such a well paid job round here etc. Have been building up to it all day but didn't want to as a) I haven't even got a job so have no room to talk, b) it's not actually his fault his job's so crap, c) he's only trying to do his best for us in the face of my black moods) Am very relieved.

Poor DS natty. children perceive things so differently don't they.

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 13/01/2009 22:44

Aww natty very cool pressy!

Just popping in to say we got DD's Littlelife daysacktoday and it is soooo cute. Haven't tried it with her yet so will report back.

Night all xxx

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 13/01/2009 22:45

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 13/01/2009 22:45

aw thats good news! glad it all worked out xx

happynewRia · 13/01/2009 23:31

well, fingers crossed and one day at a time...

hopefully that's the black gloom gone for a day or two

happynewRia · 14/01/2009 13:04

quiet today again

soup in slow cooker, been for a walk. all is much better in Ria's world today

for those of us with DSs, I got baggins some bodysuit/vests from Sainsbos last week, I think they have boats and fish on, and there are two stripey ones in the pack (£7 for 7 I think) and they are SO cute and really nice bright colours. I'm sure they have lovley girls stuff too.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 14/01/2009 14:19

Had a good morning at the children's centre Jamlet took an interest in the toy dolls for the first time, pushing one in the toy swing and then in the pram. (Though I noticed later that the dolls had been replaced with all the plastic food and she was pushing that up and down ) I'm exhausted though, even though she's still not quite walking by herself (holds onto my fingertip for dear life!) she's so much more active than a couple of weeks ago. But I wouldn't have it any other way! She's meant to be napping at the moment, but is actually protesting against it, but I'm having a quick sit down anyway. If she does srop off I can clean up then, and if she doesn't at least I'll have had a break before the afternoon session.

Ria - huzzah for your DH. Hope things go smoothly from now on.

happynewRia · 14/01/2009 14:50

jammy.

just watching DH change a nappy

then we're walking up to school for DS2 (who was beside himself with excitement because they tooth fairy brought £1)

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 14/01/2009 14:51

im a domestic goddess atm, i done SO much and theres a roast in the oven! preens
both my kids in bed! hurrah!
DH off to work soon, so will prob all fall to wreck and ruin again i dont seem to be able to do anything when kids up, all they want me to do is read/play/sing with them. which is lovely of course, if a little exhausting sometimes!

why has it got so slow this week? missing my chats with the girls!!

LittleMissNorty · 14/01/2009 16:23

Glad things are sorted at DHs work Ria.....

and well done Jamlet....as everyone said Jammy....once she starts, you won't be able to keep up with her

Ohforfoxsake · 14/01/2009 16:32

Ahh, good for Jamlet! LO says only a few words but has mastered walking and now owns some proper shoes (despites Clarks trying to hard-sell me 'cruisers'). We took her to the 1 O'clock centre yesterday (same kind of playcentre thingy) which she loved, did her first painting, loved the slide and mastered the steps. I will be digging out the reins tonight.

I will join you in your domestic goddessness Natty. Having baked muffins, homemade pizza and have sausage and lentil casserole bubbling away in the slow cooker.

Now I am packing. I am off on my holidays tomorrow and I have to get up at 5.30 am

but we are off to Disney

LittleMissNorty · 14/01/2009 16:42

did you find the tickets Foxy?

happynewRia · 14/01/2009 16:44

baggins is howling, again.

was work ok norty?

I am bored...

Ohforfoxsake · 14/01/2009 16:48

nope. but at least my 'hotspots' have been dealt with and filing done.

Glad DH is still working Ria. And glad to see you have reverted to being Ria again

How are things Norty?
