Oh BTW I've got bronchitis and sinusitus. Feel poo.

oooggs · 19/01/2009 19:58

no sex yet as if I would do such an activity

curry for lunch tomorrow maybe chilli on wednesday

can i do a sweep myself??????

bloody hell I am impatient

Northernlurker · 19/01/2009 20:08

I'm sure I've seen threads about doing a sweep yourself but I don't advise it!

Sage oil may have worked for me -chucked a load in the bath and came out smelling like a pork chop! I have a friend who swore by reflexology as well.......but I think sex is the way to go Or you could try ordering some internet shopping - the baby is bound to put in an appearance then - just to stop you getting the shopping in! Or you could put all your maternity knickers in the wash at once - sods law being what it is your waters will break just as the machine hits spin cycle. On the same principle you could send dh on a 6 hour car journey without his mobile phone....that would definately do it!

Hope you appreciate all my helpful suggestions

geordieminx · 19/01/2009 20:14

I had reflexology, hot chilli, driving round a 4 mile lake with speed bumps every 10 yards, sex, raspberry leaf tea tablets, and I had a sweep

I guess its difficult to say whether any worked or whether he would have come anyway IYKWIM?

leakyR · 19/01/2009 20:15

I now feel worse after reading about perineal massage. At least it's still a couple of months away if I decide to give it a go

leakyR · 19/01/2009 20:17

Nothing to contribute to the bringing on a baby suggestions. I was 40+3 and didn't do anything much to get things moving. A couple of walks and some bouncing on my birthing ball are all I remember.

oooggs · 19/01/2009 20:19

leaky this will be you soon

sex would be ok but dh on lates, so the only time we can 'fit' it in is when he gets home about 12.30am - when I am fast asleep - if he was on days it would be easier

cazboldy · 19/01/2009 20:25

Sex - every time except with ds1

and he was 6 days late......

oooggs · 19/01/2009 20:29

oh dear may just have to set the alarm then

cazboldy · 19/01/2009 20:32

oh I would definitely

don' be ...... i'ts no good just doing it for the sake of it..... you have to do i properly!

geordieminx · 19/01/2009 20:33

Although its not you who has to "enjoy" it - just your dh... right I'll go now

StealthPo09IsHere · 19/01/2009 20:33

My waters went on my last pair of clean maternity trousers that fit. I went to hospital in a pair of scruffy old tracksuit bottoms covered in paint. So NL may be on to something there

oooggs · 19/01/2009 20:40

I only have one pair that fir now katy - so it could go anyday I am dressed or any evening as my pjs still fit. I wash the jeans at night and tumble them and the pjs during the day and tumble them

dh in for fun then

StealthPo09IsHere · 19/01/2009 20:42

who is having the DCs when it all happens?

StealthPo09IsHere · 19/01/2009 20:43

cos of course I doubt that's occurred to you yet!

oooggs · 19/01/2009 20:47

they will stay at home and mum and dad will come over (they live 2 mins away), I have someone at hand to take ds1 to school, mum will just have to ring them. His uniform and bags are ready every evening.

Mum knows dts routine to a tee and is here helping with bedtimes when dh on lates. She also has a list of numbers so they can still go to all their clubs and toddler groups. She has also bee to nursery to do pick ups with me. The only issue will be dropping off at nursery as they will make it difficult (the twins not the nursery) but that is only weds & thurs and they don't have to go.

I couldn't send them anywhere they need too much and would be better in their own home

StealthPo09IsHere · 19/01/2009 20:49

wow - super organised!

Northernlurker · 19/01/2009 20:54

SPB - when you're having your fourth you'll have it all planned out too

cazboldy · 19/01/2009 21:01

No you DO have to enjoy it!

possibly tmi.... but an orgasm causes uterine contractions!

oooggs · 19/01/2009 21:01

cazboldy · 19/01/2009 21:03
