StealthPo09IsHere · 07/01/2009 20:05

SOL, I meant to ask how your mum's doing? Sorry if you mentioned on the last thread and I missed it

oooggs · 07/01/2009 20:08

dooby I like the sound of that 10 Jan 7lb12oz

ds1 was 7lb 14oz at 36+4 weeks
dts were 6lb 14oz & 7lb 14oz induced at 38 weeks

Elkie is going to have a february baby at 7lb 15oz

bloody hell dippy - that would be huge and sol isn't much better

I am still having pains so it could be 8 Jan, early morning 7lb 2oz

Pesha · 07/01/2009 20:10

Hi all

Dippy - M has lost her school cardigan too, several weeks ago in fact. and of course it wasnt the cheaper onne with no school logo (still a tenner mind!), nor the second hand one from Freecycle with the button missing but the new proper one that cost me nearly £15 And N has lost his PE jumper, I only found out when he bought PE kit home for washing at christmas and he tells me he hasnt had it for ages, I do hope they've been letting him wear his normal school jumper for outdoor PE and the poor little boy hasn't been left shivering in just a t-shirt!

And thats the most interesting thing I have to say! Am feeling ever so tired and cold, still don't think I'm properly over the bug I had as I really am struggling with the most mundane things atm Think I will have to be off to bed early tonight

elkiedee · 07/01/2009 20:37

I'm still hoping this baby won't be as overdue as the first one as I'd sooner avoid being induced again. I also hope as despite being overdue D was only 7 lb 7 oz ds2 won't be so huge.

oooggs · 07/01/2009 20:43

I preferred being induced to my natural start labour

I hope it is all done and dusted quickly, painfree and soon elkie

Pesha · 07/01/2009 21:18

Sexonlegs · 07/01/2009 22:15

Happy Birthday Runny! Have been meaning to type that all day!

Pesha, hope D is better soon.

Dooby, I am 40 next July

Right, need my bed. See you tomorrow xx

liath · 07/01/2009 23:05

Happy birthday, Runny.

I am going to bet on oooggs & Elkie having their babies simultaneously on 19th Jan .

Hun, you sound between a rock and a hard place especially with the medication dilemma. Really feel for you.

Eddas - you should go for a Geordieminx-cut. It looks fab in RL, very stylish.

What will you do for your 40th SOL?

AngeG · 08/01/2009 09:54

Hello everyone.

Oooggs - 9th Jan 7lbs 14oz
Elkie - 29th Jan 7lbs 8oz

Oh and the talk of birthdays I'm going to be 30 in February!

Ellie - Sorry you're having such a bad time. Really hope something can be sorted out.

Pesha - Hope D is better today.

Forgotten everything else.

CaptainDippy · 08/01/2009 10:08

Morning!

Bramshott · 08/01/2009 10:17

I'll go for:
Oooggs, 14 Jan (N's birthday)
Elkie, 30 Jan

I am crap at guessing weights! January babies are so nice - I think this every year - it really takes the gloom away from the post-christmas period to have a birthday to look forward to! Although remind me I said that next week when I am tearing my hair out trying to make a princess crown cake with ice cream cornets on!!

Caz - thanks for your advice on my other thread! Feeling a bit better about it today.

Are they Clarks doodles plimsolls Eddas? I've found that N needs a much bigger size in those than her normal shoe size as they're an odd shape - very flat towards the end of the foot. I'm going to try to get her a different pair next time, but I haven't yet found anywhere in town except Clarks who do them.

Arggh, what am I going to get my stepdad for his birthday??? Need to sort it this morning!

CaptainDippy · 08/01/2009 10:42

What's your stepdad into?

Bramshott · 08/01/2009 11:08

Medieval organs!

geordieminx · 08/01/2009 11:26

Hey ladies

Hope everyone is ok!

CMHAYP, Hope the hospital appointment goes ok!

Oooggs - 14/1/09 - 7lb 7oz
Elkidee - 1/2/09 - 8lb 4oz

Eddas - thank you for kind comments re my hair! I go through phases of loving it, and then hating it and wishing it was long! TBH it is very easy to do, I'm lucky that I only have to wash hair every 3/4 days, then dry, run straighteners through it an apply a bit of "funky" gum stuff - 10 mins start to finish! It does need cutting every 4 to 5 weeks though which is a pain - and expensiv at £45 a time

Lots of exciting things going on here - mainly I have enrolled at University to finish off my degree that I started 6 years ago - Business and Management, then after that I plan on doing a years post grad to become...... (((((whispers)))))) a teacher!! Very exciting/scary - its a complete change from telecoms, but hopefully should be a positive move, and will tie in with C starting school/childcare stuff. Its 2 nights a week which is going to be hard going, plus all the work, but hopefully will be worth it!

C also has his first model casting this afternoon for McKays (((((proud mummy))))

cazboldy · 08/01/2009 11:49

Oooh C is a model !

Happy Birthday for yesterday Runny xx

I am going for Ooogg 12th Jan 7lbs 9oz

Elkie 31st Jan (my anniversary) also 7lbs 9oz

Charlie was that weight and was my biggest!

cazboldy · 08/01/2009 11:50

sorry Oooggs

oooggs · 08/01/2009 12:22

7lb 9oz caz sounds ideal - my biggest was only 7lb 14oz!!!!

all my children have been born on thursdays!!!!

seeing m/w this afternoon - still in pain

cazboldy · 08/01/2009 12:31

oh get her to poke around a bit, and start things moving..... or get dh to sort you out I know which I prefer and it always works for me

CaptainDippy · 08/01/2009 12:39

Bramshott!!! I just spat my tea out all over my desk when I read about your stepdad's "Medieval Organs"

Have you got one of those really mad dusty old bookshop near you? Could you have a little rummage to see if they have anything on this esoteric weirdness that he is into!!!?

Alternatively, I always find M&S vouchers seem to go down rather well for men of a "certain age"

CaptainDippy · 08/01/2009 12:40

Yes Oooggs, get her (or him ) to have a good rummage to get things going ......

Bramshott · 08/01/2009 13:12

No, no Dippy this sort of thing!

Actually a dusty bookshop is not a bad idea, and would have the undoubted benefit that I could put it off until tomorrow when I am in town !

Eddas · 08/01/2009 19:01

evening

bramshott, they're just bog standard black plimsoles, just an odd pair i'd think. bought new ones today but have left them at work, der!

Re my hair, i really don't think I could have that much cut off(to be like gm's) it's currently bra strap ish length so it really would be a very big change. I think I will have quite a bit cut off though, it's too long and irrating atm. I'd love a fringe but I have a weird hairline so it doesn't work! Acutally, I will book an appointment asap, maybe saturday if dh doesn't mind.

right, off to put these dc to bed/get dh to do it
