Right, having got back on, I am now going to have a shower and feed my poor tired wee son. I need to wake him up or he will do it all again tonight.

Plus, any longer in a moses basket that is too small for him and he will need to have the basket peeled off him. Maybe it's time for a cot.

The kid is now 12lb 14.5 oz as of Monday - go fatty!

coolkat, flowerybeanbag, is the best thing ever, HR wise, hope she can help you - she has many times me - I sing her praises everywhere.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 12:23

Obs apology accepted

I have added a couple of new photos on my profile including one of Sam on his new daybed (i.e. beanbag) which seems to be working (ish!)

LadyBuzz · 07/01/2009 13:09

Good to See you Saurus glad things are OK.

Daisy the best thing about Hula jeans is that they are £10 so when I need to replace them every few weeks as I am losing weight so quickly [hopeful moi?] it won't cost the earth. Seriously though they are quite comfy the legas aren't too tight and they aren't low rise - I do find throughout the day that they start to fall down though.

I am at my GPs, I took J for his first injections today - armed with SIL ad niece as I am a wimp. They wouldn't give them to him as he is wheezing and have put him on ABs for a wek to try and clar it up - That would be the same wheeze he has had since birth that I have been FOUR times to see about and been made to feel like a panicky parent as the was 'nothing wrong' I guess I am just lucky it hasn't developed into anything nasty. Grrr
Sorry to rant I just needed to get that out!

Hi to everyone else

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 07/01/2009 13:14

Hello
Hi Rutho great to see you back here.

Poor Daisy and Hana with your bladder/foof issues.

Sorry I've been brining everything down on here.I'm feeling very messed up at the moment

Coolkat I hope you get your job sorted. It is alarming how many women still suffer this kind of discrimmination.

DS back at school. just me and the girls today!

Pinkali37 · 07/01/2009 13:17

Coolkat yey me too, we could attempt a meet up somewhere in between if you would like. Honestly i'm not a nutter (but of course that is what a nutter would say?!?!).

Sex I did it the night the health visitor totally humiliated me in front of my mum by mentioning, sex, foreplay and KY jelly, when all i had said was "yikes stitches" trying to get her off the subject (she knew exactly what i was doing but blo*dy continued). So that was 6 1/2 weeks. It's not that bad but i can feel where my stitches were.

Rutho Welcome back.. now start making us laugh!

Esme is having her first injections this afternoon so i'm hoping the doctor will weigh her??????????? I really want to know what she weighs now. At 6 /12 weeks she was 8lb 110z.

Esme is a star with her sleeping. She sleeps from about 10.30pm to 6am. So i really feel sorry for those with night feeds still.

ruthosaurus · 07/01/2009 13:27

Hana, prolapse, owie. Poor you. Yup, v annoyed about period. Plus, I never used to have painful periods and this one hurt, which was how I could tell it wasn't more lochia (which had just finished the day before and I was celebrating not having an ST or pantyliner on for the first time in months. Plus it lasted 7 days as opposed to the usual 4. Grr.).

I had to buy condoms for the first time in years yesterday and couldn't decide which ones to get . Felt like a teenager again, especially as the old lady and Huge Local Gangsta in the queue behind me were PTSL. As was the workman mending the till. Arse.

Is anyone else on the mini-pill? I have opted for this but am unsure about it as I was getting yechy side-effects from the combined pill (the first trimester of pregnancy was more fun) and tbh the only thing stopping me from relying on just condoms is the thought of another baby. Advice please!

Lacks, [snigger] at film reference. Old enough AND mucky minded enough. Maybe you could do it on the stairs to celebrate... Or am I thinking of a differend 80s/90s smut-fest? I know Sliver was popular with the lads in 6th form for a while. Dear oh dear.

ruthosaurus · 07/01/2009 13:34

Tiger, yo! I have missed out on your name change, so will try to work out who you are...

Ceebee, you queen of raunch, 4 weeks! SO not worthy. Don't go telling the menfolk or they'll all want one.

I think I scared DH last time by agreeing to it at 1am ("Huh? You said yes? Why?") but then regretted it when my boobs woke me up at 3 and I had to go and express myself or explode and then Fin woke me up at 5 for a feed (irony)...

Speaking of exploding, must go and change sewage boy over here - he just made a noise like a poo bomb going off. And to think that for the first 3 days of his life I was worried that he wouldn't poo at all. Funny thing - he'll happlily sit in a mucky nappy for hours but the tiniest little wee and he's wailing for a clean nappy.

Groo.

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 07/01/2009 13:34

Rutho I've tried the mini pill before but it turned me into a blubbering wreck and I spotted the whole time. I'm considering the mirena coil, have appointment booked, in fact.

ruthosaurus · 07/01/2009 13:44

And I've worked out who you are! Hi chick [hugs].

Arse about mini-pill. Will give it a go but I think I'll do the coil if not. Is Mirena the one without hormones?

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 07/01/2009 14:18

Hello hello Rutho

No the mirena coil does have the hormones, but it should stop periods altogether. I'm a bit unsure about it as I've not got on with hormone related birth control, but DH is going to have the snip, once he has got the surgery on his knee out of the way, so I'm not planning on using anything long term.

Hope F's poo wasn't too huge.Imi's are mahoosive at the moment. She's in her 3-6 clothes now, too!

I have bought some books that have been recommended to me, so I'm hoping they will help me make sense of things. Told two of my friends today and they were lovely about it, and told me how 'normal' I am, which is nice, as I've always thought I was a complete social misfit!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 14:28

hana, that's what it felt like at the end of my pregnancy...I think I posted a thread about it. It's not as bad as that for me now in that I can't feel it unless I am clenching. Are you seeing a physio about it? You can get those tampon strengtheny things from them!

Started this post over an hour ago, but thanks to my poorly wee man have only just got round to finishing it now as he has been screaming for an hour . No doubt there are another 20 posts have been added whilst this has been on the screen.

bumble has had a tiny BF, in between the screaming, and has barely relieved the pressure. Every time I tried to latch him on he was screaming. maybe sore ears as he is really bunged up? probably shouldn't have had his jabs done yesterday either.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 14:31

DH has had to reschedule his snip op....as the appointment he got was for the day before we got to centerparcs for the weekend at the end of the month.....so another month of abstinence for me

Never got on with hormonal contraception either, and in fact fell pregnant with DS1 whilst taking the mini-pill. We have just used condoms for lots of years.....oh and BFing

OP posts:
BigFurryStripeyTiger · 07/01/2009 14:32

Lacks poor bumble. DS had a horrid reaction to his first set of jabs- turned his legs purple. All subsequent jabs he was fine.

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 07/01/2009 14:33

lacks

AARRGHH school run and still nappies to change!

see you later.x

chocolategal · 07/01/2009 15:14

bookmarking, will be back!!!

ruthosaurus · 07/01/2009 15:27

Aw, poor Lacks as well as poor Bumble.

Eek re getting pg while on mini-pill. May insist on belt and braces so DH can forget any lovely ideas about giving up condoms for a while yet. Perhaps I could cheer him up by getting the flavoured ones next time ("Oh, look, darling. Now it's just like a banana in nearly every way!").

My DH has offered to get the snip if we have one more night like last night, until I told him that Fin has about 8 more lots of injections to get through and if he gets surgery every time that happens he will look like Pete Burns.

Got to go, Fin is having an Official Nap (I'm not Ginaing, I just decided enough was enough and put him in his basket for a bit) so I am going to have an Official Cuppa and put the washing out.

Ceebee74 · 07/01/2009 16:20

Just got back from a marathon shopping/weigh-in trip - took forever!!

Have to go and pick DS1 up in a mo but just wanted to say Ladybuzz I could kiss you Those Hula jeans are fantastic!! They actually do up round my rather large belly and are really comfy round the legs - and only cost £10!!! I got a dark blue pair and a black pair - then I had to get a top and a new pair of killer heel boots to go with them for Saturday night of course

Will catch up later!

Oblomov · 07/01/2009 16:28

Hello
Just back from steroid injection in shoulder.
Yesterday I went for MRI scan and then pm for appointment re sterilisation. Everyone has been discussing sex, contraception, Daisy mishaps on here, I notice. I am being sterilised end of Feb. She also did a smear on me. And said I had a very unusual pelvic bone, and it was no surprise to her that I had found the coil so uncomfortable. It is offical. Obs is wierd down below actually I am a bit wierd all over
I will never be on a MN AN thread again. But it sure was nice whilst it lasted
Have been to see 2 GP's re Max, in last few days. Both useless. One said "babies do cry Mrs Oblomov". To which I nearly laughed. I took a moment to compose myself. Then told her not to patronise me and that I was not stupid.
I did mention sleeping tablets , aka Ceebee, but alas. She scoffed. I asked her what her solution was to incosolable screaming for 2 hrs between 1 am and 3 am was........
Good to see Rutho posting.
LOL at FurryPussy - just the name. My mind is running riot
Love to Pinky and her M problems.
Agree with MerryM re this thread being more than just about babies.
And love to MerryM and her kind words. My minor issues are nothing compared to her coping with twins and ds1.
Sorry for Coolkats argument with dh.
cricri, Max has gone from doing 3 zillion poohs a day, almost as soon as you had changed his nappy. To doing one explosive one per dy. Apparently, aka Kellymom and many other people, for bf babies, post 6-8 wks, this is entirely normal.
Hana, the tongue snip did help with bf. Not initially, but after about a week and a half- 2 weeks, I noticed that it had got quite a bit better.
Sorry to hear of daisy's bumble being so upset, post jabs. Max was fine.
Glad Pinkali had nice holiday. So jealous of that skiing holiday.
Chocolategal, my pelvic muscles are shot to pieces, even though I had CS. I have dribbled down my leg, sorry if TMI, twice in the last few days, whilst stood at the sink washing up. So embarrassing. But right now, pelvic exercises are the last thing on my mind.
Is that everyone
Dozy, we are becoming more reliant on the dummy aswell. I feel we are using it too much, to keep him quiet. not good. text me/facebook me your address for the 12th.

Oblomov · 07/01/2009 16:32
