LadyBuzz · 08/01/2009 16:01

Hi all,
Daisy hope the boob improves soon.
J is also a valentines baby - I think DH has 'had it' twice since then - poor thing he has just about given up hes maybe holding out for valentines this year!

Yorky glad DDs thrush is clearing.

I don't iron either ever - DH occasionally irons a shirt if we are going out but he is a bricklayer so it doesn't matter if he is crumpled - I hate ironing!

Merry you deserve a medal coping with 2 babies in different routines your head must spin some days!

Ceebs love the top its gorg!

Obs hope you get some answers from the paed its about time someone listened.
'You do know babies cry' indeed i'm surprised you didn't plant the doctor one.

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I have missed anything!

LadyBuzz · 08/01/2009 16:02

Yay Rutho welcome to the Hula club!

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 16:05

so these jeans actually make your bum look smaller?

I'm just relieved that they do them in short arse leg lengths!

Might get down there tomorrow or else I am going to book a rare day out for me, without children, on Sunday and go shopping then.

How will we recognise each other when we meet up......we'll all be wearing the same jeans of course

OP posts:
LadyBuzz · 08/01/2009 16:07

LOL Daisy I never thought of that!
The short arse length are great for out height, I can rarely find them short enough.

ruthosaurus · 08/01/2009 16:11

I just grabbed the only size 16 in the shop - I am again victim to the idea that every time you go up a dress size you also get taller.

I like turnups, though, they are v trim and nautical, esp in a bootcut jean. And that is waht I shall continue to tell myself.

ruthosaurus · 08/01/2009 16:13

When and where is meeting, btw? I need to know so my jeans are freshly ironed in time...

Truly am off to catch up, this time.

MerryMarigold · 08/01/2009 16:17

Baby Awissa/ Podgkin has been asleep ALL DAY. Dasiy, how has Bumble done? Does anyone know that Antsy Pants song from Juno film soundtrack (brilliant movie). I got CD for dh for xmas cos I wanted it! . Anyway, song is 'I am a vampire, I am vampire x million, but I have lost my fangs' and I sing it to dd all the time.

Ceebee74 · 08/01/2009 16:25

Well, if anyone needs a black pair of Hula jeans in size 10, leg 32" (anyone???), I can assist! I went to put them on today, tore all the labels off - and took one look and thought 'uh-oh' - I had somehow picked up size 10, rather than size 18 . Do you think they will take them back even though I have taken the labels off??

I was thinking about how we would recognise each other on 23rd - I figured we would all have a minky blanket - but now we have the Hula jeans aswell!

Dozy I think Coolkat has pointed you in the direction of my top - am in a bit of a rush so can't link to it right now but if you look back at my posts, you should find the link

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 16:49

with creases front and back I hope rutho

meet up is Trafford Centre on Fri 23rd. A time hasn't been settled yet, but mid morning would be good so we miss the morning rush.

lol at you being a vampire merryM. I sing Eva Cassidy's version of Somewhere over the Rainbow or Paul Simon's St Judy's Comet (both badly) to bumble. The Paul Simon version is much much better. He wrote it for his son when he was a baby and it makes my eyes water every time I hear it. Can't find a version by him on YouTube.

We also song to them "What's that coming ovet the hill? is it a monster? a

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 16:50

Dozymare · 08/01/2009 19:21

Quick, Quick, it's my sneaky hour on MN before DH get's in and whilst the DC's are sparko! Quick Q....does anyone use a Bumbo yet, or know when they can be used? Can't remeber if Ihave asked that already, but I am sure that once the head is steady it is good to go.....I know Tiger will love that, as she is always nosing around, and will make my life easier at feeding time! Had a thought, can you imagine (all those with 3 or more) what it is going to be like weaning with 2 other's to keep an eye on?!) MADNESS!!! If Tiger is anything like er DB's she will be on solids in 6 weeks time...that is very scary, I am losing my newborn already!!!!!!

I am in the Hula gang as well - off to buy mine tomorrow as got 2 hours to myself as my mum has offered to watch the 2 wee one's.

Am wondering where the following are Heartmum Rosa Zonedout Missdee haven't seen them for a while......anyone????

AutumnladY I know you are reading on your phone, sent you a message on FB but not heard back, you ok?????

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 08/01/2009 19:47

lol *Dozy8 the way things are going here, I'm going to be weaning Imi at the same time as trying to ptty train DD1. Not literally, I hope! That is going to be madness!

Rutho thanks for yuor lovely offer. I am ok, really.

I have managed to resist ringing her and apologising for the latest crime I have committed against her, but her voice is still there in my head. I'm hoping it will fade.

10:30 at the trafford centre this morning was fine, it's not so busy at the mo.

Hello to all.And yes, was wondering about Zonedout, too.

coolkat · 08/01/2009 19:59

Got the dreaded interview tomorrow , going to go and see heads PA before had to see if she has the answer as to why they are not doing what is in their maternity guide.

Good news is mum has been off wth chest infection so she can look after Rebecca! Bad new is only one pair trousers for interview that fit and have muffin top with them

Not looking forward to it and am p'd off as usually I do the school run on a friday and then head straight for Tesco' before it gets busy and now I will have to go later and it messes everything up

Sounds like you had a busy but nice day Pinkali, I was thinking are you near that shopping outlet near sleaford, It could be somewhere to meet, have a wonder and food etc?

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:01

Ok, bumble slept until 5.15ish, woke up had a feed and then was awake until 7 during which time he had a play on his mat, a chuckle at the living room shelves and a bath. Fed him at seven and put him in his chair; he has one little upset and is now sparko again in his chair....so far so Gina

timings have been a little bit off but he has had lots of feeds (courtesay of me wanting him to clear this boob) and seems on track . I'm not counting my chickens though.

Has anyone heard from DrsWife? I hope she is OK, given her in-law issues.

misdee was about the other day but she said on another thread that she was trying to cut down on her MNetting.

solids in 6 weeks? how old will she be dozy? I did baby led weaning with DD after trying baby rice at 20 weeks (due to pressure from my HV ) and her deciding it was not for her. Left it a few weeks and she was helping herself to mashed potato off my plate at 25 weeks so I did a mix of purees and BLW after that. This time, I'm going to let bumble take the lead entirely.

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 08/01/2009 20:01

Dozy - bumbos from about 4 months ish - they are ok once their head is very steady.

Sam will definitely be on milk until 6 months (or as near as I can get) as I found weaning a real faff with DS1 and am in no hurry to start all over again - much easier to make a bottle of milk!! Plus whilst Sam is on milk, DS1 seems ok about not giving him food but I can see that as soon as any food passes Sam's lips, DS1 will be feeding him allsorts!!

For the time for the meet-up - Daisy/Yorky - you are coming further than me and Furry so what would be a good time for you? We won't need the soft play this time if no-one is bringing toddlers with them - but definitely worth bearing in mind for future meet-ups yes?

Merry - just said to DH that I would keep the size 10 jeans until I fit into them - the cheeky git said that moths would have eaten them by then

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:06

I caught DD trying to feed bumble some ribena yesterday morning. I suspect, depsite my best intentions, she will be doing Emmie-led weaning

sounds like an exhausting day pinkali but good news on the shopping.

Has everyone sent off their Child Benefit forms? Finally got mine in the post today, before we run out of time as they only backdate it for three months.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:13

I might have to bring DD with me.....I've asked the PILs to pick DS up that day so I'm not having to rush back and I always feel like I'm putting them out. I'll run it by DH, get him to ask if they'll have her all day and pick DS up. They always complain that they never see enough of them

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:14

timings.....it'll only take me about 45 minutes, the god of traffic and the M62 allowing, so 10.30ish?

OP posts:
BigFurryStripeyTiger · 08/01/2009 20:14

Sorry ceebee , I thought Daisy said mid-morning- getting ahead of myself. Oh dear, we also need a place to meet, don't we?

Is no'one bringing their toddlers then?

I have no Hula Jeans. I may have a little look online......

You will of course easily recognise me from my Facebook photo!

BigFurryStripeyTiger · 08/01/2009 20:17

oops x posts there, Daisy. I think DH is going to take a day's toil so I can just bring Imi, but if you take your DD, I'll bring mine too, if you like.

I did my C benefit ages ago, but I still have my tax return to complete

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:23

I'll know Yorky! furrytiger, I'll bring DD then if you are bringing DD1, then I have another favour saved in the bank of mum and dad in law

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 20:25

lol another cross post . toddlers it is then!

and contrary to my fb profile photo I'm not a short fat snowman.....just a short, fat scottishwoman.
