March 2005 babies - we are very quiet

So how is it going for everyone? Most of us have had our babies so how was the first few weeks?

shall we have weight as well?

Rebecca 6 weeks, born 18/3 .
Kieran 3 weeks, born 10/04 weight 5.7 kg

serena born 21 feb.

Faith born 16th March, 6lb 4oz, 6wks 6days old.

Had a lovely day today - lots of smiles and some very slight cooing noises .

Sylvia, born 1 March with 7lb 13oz (3.53 kg). She's 9 weeks today and weighs 4.54 kg.

She's been smiling much more these past few days.

Grace born 20th March 6wks, 2 days

Leogaela - if only chocolate was having a constipating effect on Grace, I would have a good incentive to give it up . Unfortunately, I have zero willpower most of the time, and I guess this is the reason I'm not back in pre-pregnancy clothes yet! If only dh would stop buying it for me...

BonyM - do tell, are you in it? I'll get a copy on my way to WeightWacthers at lunchtime. (In fact still thinking whether to go today to WW or tomorrow, maybe I'll lose a bit of weight by tomorrow.)

I don't believe you bonym - I just got the Guardian and now I know why you are called bonym .

Last night when I posted Faiths age I was convinced it was past midnight, she is 6wks 6days old today! She had a mammoth sleep last night - I only wish I'd been in bed too! She fell asleep at 7:30pm and woke at 5am!!!!! I'm amazed, and a little upset that I took the opportunity to come on MN and then clean my house from top to bottom! I went to bed at midnight . I know, it's my own stupid fault - but hey, if she does it again I've no need to clean the house so I'll be off to bed the minute she drops off!

Sadly, I was given the nickname at leasy 25 years ago - I really was bony in those days

Bonym - Niklas 9 weeks now , I am not sure I could get in all my pre-pregnancy clothes at 6 weeks. Yesterday I at a whole huge bar of swiss chocolate ! I buy it for dh but end up eating it myself !

What is the guardian article about???? Can I see it online? i can't get a copy of it here! I am off to look at the website now!

The mammoth sleep sounds great 3mummy! I've also done that, not gone to bed when Niklas has managed a long sleep and regretted it after!

Something I forgot to tell you all about that happened yesterday. A little girl (about 5 or 6 years old) attacked Niklas while we were out shopping. She came up to us and looked into his carry cot on the buggy, i didn't mind as children seem to be very curious and cute when they look at babies. She was carrying something in her hand and looked as if she was trying to put it in his face so I moved her away a bit, then she came flying back and was trying to hammer Niklas in the face with this plastic thing. I grabbed her by the arm really agressively and flung her away. I was so shocked and shaking afterwards. firstly at my reaction, it happened so quickly that i didn't even think! somehow my natural protective instinct kicked in and in that moment if I had seriousy hurt the girl I wouln't have cared. I can understand that, but what I can't understand is why a little girl would so aggressively attack a smiling laughing helpless baby! And it really seemed to be aggression and deliberate! Thankfully he wasn't hurt and wasn't even upset, but the plastic thing could have damaged his eyes and cut his face. What could have provoked her behaviour?

Who knows why she did it? maybe they let her get away with it maybe she is just a nasty little girl .

I had a nightmare night last night with Kieran. I guess it might have been all my fault though.

Took him out all day and he was so tired in the evening and for the first time I discovered that my son has a voice . He screamed the house down on and off (more on than off) for nearly two hours before finaly falling asleep in our bed.

He slept from 11pm to about 6.30am waking up once at 3.30am for a short feed. He has breast fed three times since morning and is now asleep on the sofa.

Monster last night. Angle this morning. I hope he goes back to his good natured self soon.

Leogaela - how frightening for you. That protective instinct is astonishgly strong isn't it?

now 8 weeks and 1 day...not sue what he weighs now but 2 weeks ago he was 10lb 7oz...so way over 11 now i think

I feel like supermum

got both kiddies today including ds1 'toddler from hell on sticker chart system'

we were dressed my 9:00, at tesco by 9:30, back ds2 asleep, made pipe cleaner butterflies with ds1, made lunch, ate, went for a drive with the boys and both fell asleep.
SYncronised napping!!!!!
And have just prepared fish pie for tea,,,and they are still asleep so having a cuppa!!!

I had my 6 week post-natal check today. All fine, but had to wait for an hour before seeing the doctor, and then completely forgot to mention about the lump in my armpit. I am so frustrated with myself as I really don't want to have to go and sit the waiting room again for 1hr+ and can't believe I forgot about it as I've been feeling it every day for the last few weeks hoping that it will have disappeared. I'm sure it's probably nothing but suppose I should get it checked out anyway.

Grace slept for 7 hours solid again last night - woke for a feed at 5am and then went straight back to sleep again until 8am. She's been going for 6-7 hours most nights for the last week so we're not quite so exhausted as we have been! Will take her to be weighed tomorrow so can then add her weight to the list!

i have no idea what serena weighs. she was born weigjhing 7lb 14oz.
