hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'll try the long sleeve vest and bag combo. I suppose if he's cold he'll snuggle in closer won't he?

I'm loving co-sleeping, but suspect DH might get fed up with the sofa soon! He did say the other night that getting bumble's sleeping sorted is the priority at the minute, then we can work on getting him in his own space and then DH getting back in the bed, but....

We just realised that his snip op is the day before we are off to centerparcs. If he reschedules it might be another few months, but equally, if he doesn't we'll be stuck not going in the pool as I won't be able to watch 3 kids.....in fact, can bumble even go in the pool? he'll have had his first lot of jabs.

happynewRia · 04/01/2009 22:00

you won't have time for any bedroom antics daisy!

happynewRia · 04/01/2009 22:03

think I'm off to spend my evening with Alan Titchmarsh.
Night all.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/01/2009 22:04

daisy to my knowledge u can take babies straight in to pool regardless of jabs or not, i think thats what the gp told me about ellen.
i think most mums prefer to take their LO's after first jabs just in case, thats how i felt anyway.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/01/2009 22:28

lol Ria, it was more for DH swimming than bedroom antics!

bedroom antics.....

HellHathNoFury · 05/01/2009 09:25

Whoops!
BFP

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 09:35

LittleMissNorty · 05/01/2009 09:36

Congratulations.....I was wondering who would be next .....you know what they say....new house, new baby! (eh Fairy??)

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 09:41

oops, came to update from tallulah.

twin 1 doing well, twin 2 had a collapsed lung and has been in intesive care and on ventilator, but improving every day. She isn't sure when she will get home.

Day 1 of fitness/diet campaign and I have caved and eaten a quality street already . Need a boost of motivation as my plan for a walk has been scuppered by the slippery pavements.

HellHathNoFury · 05/01/2009 09:47

Good luck vibes to TB and twin 2.

Drunken shag. Who'd have thunk it?

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 09:59

Are you happy about it fury? and how is DH taking the news?

At least you'll get maternity leave and pay this time!

Due date?

LittleMissNorty · 05/01/2009 10:12

Oh poor Tallulah, how difficult must that be....2 at home and one still in.....hope all is ok and she is at home soon.

Any names?

I am also housebound due to slippery pavements and snow. Sun is shining now, so hope to go out later on.

For now, tumble dryer to empty, hoovering to do and a quick nap before DD wakes up!

HellHathNoFury · 05/01/2009 10:15

Yes I am happy. Happier than last time anyway

DH is overjoyed.

EDD (by MY reckoning) is 3rd Sept. Haven't yet seen a GP or anything. Will get round to it eventually - but currently have no phone (at home), no internet (at home), just moved in 3 days ago.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 10:28

Good Luck in the new house and I hope you get organised soon. I would shrivel and die without an internet connection!

I hope you're not feeling too rough

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 05/01/2009 10:32

aw congrats fury
hope all is settled at the new house asap, i rang virgin and arranged the installation 2 weeks b4 we moved in lol, i couldnt bear to have no internet

it snowed here too, taking kids out in it as soon as can drag DH out of bed.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 05/01/2009 10:35

woops! meant to put good luck TB to T2, hope shes home with you soon xx

Sputnik · 05/01/2009 11:03

Wow, congratulations Fury

Hope Tallulah's T2 is out soon.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 11:28

I got the impression from T's text that she is still,l.;/ in hospital with both twins.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 11:29

oops, DD "helping" by trying to pick a plaster off my finger as I type!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 05/01/2009 12:17

Wow Fury! Congrats!

Hope TB's T2 is OK and out soon.

Light scattering of snow here this morning. Felt like it was a mixed blessing that I had the car as I hate driving in snow. but not too bad getting in and it is melting now. And healthy eating just not happening here yet. We had a delivery of sale price chocs from Hotel Chocolat so were munching on some of those last night. And I had stollen for breakfast. once Xmas treats cleared (so another week at most?) will try v hard though I promise. Have decided that I will also try v hard to be better groomed this year. So made effort to cleanse and moisturise properly and apply a dab of make up before coming to work today

We had a good time at my parents after New Year. They loved having her there, especially my Dad. We took her to Clarks and finally her feet have grown! She is now a 3G instead of a 2.5G So we got her proper walking shoes (in the sale ) instead of cruising shoes and she really does walk much better in the, She is much more stable and now walks quite happily holding just one hand. She even tried a step on her own, unsupported, at my parents, but fell over so has now lost the confidence to try that again

Am a bit to be back at work, but am going to have a big clear out of my office shelves this afternoon, so that should keep me busy.

happynewRia · 05/01/2009 12:33

what a morning!

Many congratulations fury, and hope you are happy in your new home.

Lots of love to Tbelle and boths twins, but special vibes to T2.

Think I have peaked too soon this morning. 2 loads of washing out (it'll freeze before it'll dry), dinner in the slow cooker, I child asleep, 1 playing and 1 at school. SW friendly fry-up cooked, eaten and washed-up after. Need a rest now.

Not going out - DH texted to tell me not to drive anywhere, too cold to go out with the pushchair as baggind not well.

Am though. Dsis roped me in to do some placecards on the PC for BILs bizarre mens-club. I said ok, but I couldn't do them til the end of next month, after my next OU assignment is due. He turned up on the doorstep (to bring DS2s b'day present) with an example of what he wants (erm, I think I know what a fecking placecard is) and could he see one this week to make sure I'm on the right track. It's only a coule of weeks ago dsis was telling me I needed to learn to say NO...

happynewRia · 05/01/2009 12:33

sorry, d't think the mouse liked the half glass of wine I gave it last night!

Ekka · 05/01/2009 12:36

Congrats fury!

Good luck to TB's twin 2.

Daisy - you can take them swimming without any jabs, but do get a baby wetsuit thing cos they get really cold really quickly otherwise, we did baby swimming with dd (and have it planned with ds) and the classes are held in a pool that is warmed to 34C specially for the babies. Regarding sleepwear Ds is in a grobag and wears a longsleeve sleepsuit and then a fleecy babygro (Primark do great cheap ones of these) underneath the grobag. But he's now in his own cot. Its much easier to get them to settle in the cot when they're in a grobag as they don't get a cold shock when you lie them down after a feed

Jammy - sounds like your dd is just like our friend's dd who could walk holding hands by this age, but would not attempt it on her own until she was about 20 months I think, but once she did there was no stopping her, she was running within days .

Had a good night here - dd slept through and ds seems to have settled into a pattern of not going to sleep till 9.30 but then waking only at 2.30 and 5.30 for feeds and sleeping till about 8 (if dd doesn't wake him up first by trying to drag him out of the cot through the bars ). Good thing I'm not too tired as my aunt & cousins are dropping by for a visit tonight on their way back to Montreal. Dd now has 4 pre-molars, so I hope her sleep improves for a bit now as dh is not coping well with the disturbed nights

Got to go and get lunch ready before ds decides he needs a feed and dd wakes up from her nap!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/01/2009 12:46

Ekka, I'm hoping that Centerparcs will have a decently warm pool and pool area. I'll see if I can get hold of a wetsuit before we go, but bumble has a healthy layer of body fat, so hopefully he won't get too cold!

Your New Year sounds nice Jammy, but boo hiss to being back at work.

Ria, be firm...or else show him your computer and say "help yourself"; there are websites with templates for things so even if he is computer illiterate he should be able to manage it himself! Or better still, convince him that hand calligraphied place cards (by him) are much more sophisticated
