More than we did Ria . I felt bleurgh, so we cut the walk and toook jamlet to the park instead. I think she enjoyed that more though

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:04

NY resolutions -

I will try to keep on top of the housework, so that I could have unexpected guests and not be

I will try to do more fun stuff with my boys instead of being grumpy and getting cross

More walking.

Lose weight.

Read my xmas novels from DH, and the biographies he bought me last xmas.

Keep Mnetting

I think that's it...

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:05

ah, we walked past the park cos we couldn't be bothered

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:06

so, Jonathon Creek or Miss Marple tonight?

DH not in yet so looks like I will be recording both. (he will be pissed off, he was meant to finish at 6 tonight)

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 01/01/2009 20:07

i am going to shout less at kids (mainly thomas)
actually plant things in my garden instead of just thining about it
eat better (more veg less chocolate )
and above all, enjoy my pregnancy and STOP WORRYING!!!

anyone else?

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 01/01/2009 20:07

We are off to my parents in the morning for a couple of nights. Hardly seemed to take me any time to pack this time though. I must be getting used to it. Plus as she gets a bit older there is a little less we need to take. I remember it seemed like a military operation the first few times we went away. I might not get back here later tonight so just to say I'll be away for a bit. Have fun!

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:10

have a geat time jammy

aahh, natty. Stop Worrying. not do-able for me I don't think Poor DH, it makes him but I can't help it

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:10

oops, so good luck is what I meant!

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:18

I am sorry to sound like a grumpy pensioner my parents I(she says whilst listening to the Salvation Army band CD) but FGS, it is 8.1 5on NYD. what need is there tonight for blitz-like fireworks???? I didn't mind the ones at midnight last night, fair enough, but we had these blitz ones last night at 8'o clock too, luckily DS2 hasn't noticed yet...

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 01/01/2009 20:19

lol ria, who said id be able to keep it
i am a worrier im terrible, am panicking about downs test now, convinceing myself baby has def got it.. honestly what am i like

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 01/01/2009 20:21

perhaps its a local park display? they often run both NYE and NYD?

Sputnik · 01/01/2009 20:42

You are lucky Ria, there is a saints day here where the tradition is to fire off cannon like fireworks that shake the house at six in the stuffing morning. Where we lived before we were right next to where they fired them off from.

LittleMissNorty · 01/01/2009 20:49

Evening all....not staying as apple pie and custard (and Eastenders) awaits me .

Well done Natty on getting to 12 weeks.....tests will be fine....did they not do a nuchal when they done your scan?

Daisy....have FB'd you

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 01/01/2009 20:52

just a quick one for trace......

I'm still choked with the cold here trace and the kids are all bunged up and miserable as well. How about next weekend instead?

OMG at Eastenders

OP posts:
happynewRia · 01/01/2009 20:59

glad we're not there then sputnik. (the last one shook the house). I think it's the tossers tenants in the rented house up the street, next door to the tiny baby.

baggins asleep (he dozed off listening to DH talk about work)

think I'll sign off early-ish tonight, and make up for last night.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 01/01/2009 21:00

i know eastenders was shockin, yet not surprising this IS sean we are talking about!

no they didnt because i was in the EPU and the techitions are not trained to measure it properly.

dont mind cos i get to see how much baby has grown in a week and half now

LittleMissNorty · 01/01/2009 21:44

have to say Eastenders turned my stomach tonight - must be cos I'm pg.....I was in tears....DH was "do you really think anything would happen to a newborn?"

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 01/01/2009 22:50

We have booked our summer holiday ....here as there is fishing on-site and a lovely patio for me and the two littlies. Jammy we are there for two weeks so if you can sneak in a visit to your parents, we can meet up for sure!

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 23:13

Pah daisy , actually , when I was little we used to have a boat on the broads most years (til we started camping) I think I was 18m when we first went can hardly believe that with DMs nerves. I think they went a couple of times before I was born with GPs and Dsiss (who were old enough not to drown), those were the days when it was a cheap option, not like now.

I take it the little baby was OK then? I dont watch EE (though that Sean bloke looks tasty in pics). I can't watch anything that involves possible harm to kids and I have no excuse I think every time I have been PG we have watched something "nasty" (Jack & Sarah is a "favourite")

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 23:19

our Sun £9.50 priority booking form came yesterday, was wondering about Norfolk for a change actually, but an old friend lives there and I don't want to have to visit.

bollocks, child awake

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 01/01/2009 23:33

Well Ria, if you hadn't chickened out of meeting me the two years we went to Staithes.....

We will be back on the East coast for a couple of camping weekends so will meet up sometime hopefully.

EE ended up a pile of poo.....roxy, sean and roxy's sister all ended up in freezing water, but were able to get out again by themselves after a wee swim around . You would pass out within seconds in water that cold!

DH and DS spent the afternoon rat proofing our compost bin. The bleeders have been using it as a food source, but thankfully aren't living in there. When we moved the bin, there is a perfect little arched hole (just like in Tom and Jerry) in the fence between us and our neighbour so they are obviously nesting in his jungle wilderness overgrown garden.

Right am off to bed.

NY resolutions start when the crap has been eaten tomorrow.

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 23:42

was it 2 years? Sorry. (but you've met me now, hopefully you can see why I get so nervy and chicken out)

If you are camping and like basic of basic, I can recommend the one behind the "Aidensfield Arms", the facilities wouldn'tbe suitable for DD & DS2, but if you are set up ok with your camping rig for them, DS1 would love it (right next to steam railway line)

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 23:43

am really off now, Jonathon Creek...

night all.

LackaDAISYcal · 01/01/2009 23:46

enjoy it Ria....it's a bit dark, but very good.

will bear Aidensfield in mind

LittleMissNorty · 02/01/2009 09:51

Looks lovely Daisy.....don't think we'll be doing holidays this year!

Blimey, the first due in Feb baby has been born
