I did that too Butterfly. Soooo many times its embarrasing.

The ones without holes are the ones you can sterilise and use the milk from. The ones with holes are good for cracked nipples as the air flows. and stops the scabs peeling off with your underwear

I am pissed off with my kids.

LO just threw her dinner on the floor, she refused to eat it because she wanted a chocolate from the advent calender.

DS2s food went on his chair and the floor because he cannot sit on his arse, but perches on one knee while standing up to eat

and the other two are just generally arsing about.

DP has buggered off to a mad work party, and probably will still be pissed when he gets home tomorrow afternoon.

I have no desire to go out, all night or otherwise I can't bear the next day.

If I could go out all night and have no childcare the next day, I would. But children + hangover = hell.

DP is away all weekend. Went yesterday, and back tomorrow. It is a notorious night for where he works (all to do with tonights prime time programme) followed by a party. I don't think it has the same 'largeness' as it used to, that's either him getting older, or the corporation making ends meet.

Last night a friend came over and we stuffed ourselves (M&S dine in for a tenner was a particularly good offer), scoffed After Eights and drank Cava whilst watching the X-Factor. That's my idea of a good time. Especially with no DP so I get the bed to myself.

Trouble last night was I'd eaten so many After Eights I couldn't sleep

That's not a bad suggestion Butterfly I could put the telly on and have a bath.

Yes. I will do that. Thanks

ta for suggestions. He has a tooth visible and feelable (makes up new word cos she can't think of the right one) right under the gum at the bottom. He is also a bit bunged up and snotty, so maybe can't breathe too well. He is happy to suck on a finger rather than feed as well........where is the six week growth spurt? Maybe as he had a three, four and five week spurt he's having a rest from growing at the minute.

I did wonder about me having oversupply issues as I did with DD, but I already do single sided feeding and tend to do two or three feeds from one side before swapping over. My boobs have expanded over the last two weeks as well in a way they didn't when my milk came in. I got some weleda nursing tea which is meant to increase your supply, but I've only had two cups.....surely it isn't that good?

the annoying thing is that I should be able to troubleshoot these issues myself, but can't.

anyway, sorry to bang on about it, but you guys are more experienced at BFing than I am.
I like your GF thread Butterfly....some interesting points being raised there. My November thread are a bit obsessed by GF and all trying to follow her routines and wondering why it isn't working and when their breasts are empty and why the baby isn't sleeping all night like the book says it should; maybe I should link your thread?

Great title. Haven't caught up properly, I'm afraid, will try and do so in a minute.

Ria, nice to see you back and great news about Dh getting a job

Crappy weekend here. Dh and I were supposed to leave the Dcs with my parents, go to panto on Fri night, up to town to go to Borough Market and then for fabulous meal on Sat and then packing today before collecting Dcs. BUT DD developed very high temp on Friday morning so we spent the weekend at my parents administering Calpol, on phone to NHS Direct and Out of Hours Doc and worrying about her as temp wouldn't fall . It turns out she has tonsilitis and is now on ABs but is still very miserable. Added to that, I have clearly now caught the 'bug' and feel shite. So no relaxing Saturday, no packing done, me and DD feeling shit, no time off tomorrow as DD obviously can't go to pre-school and we move in 6 days time. Agghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Oh yes, and I have had DCs on my own this afternoon as Dh has taken his cousin to the Chelsea match as a big thank-you for various things he;s done for us this year. The DCs were both in bed by 6, as I couldn't cope anymore. DS is still awake though so I can't go and bury myself in my duvet.

Sorry that was a bit epic, I needed to get it off my chest

Oh yes, and I wa going to make my SS present this weekend so that will be delayed too.

Thanks Daisy .

I have just heard that my neighbour's DD has chicken pox, and my DCs played with them several days at the end of last week, so we could well also have that to look forward to in the next couple of weeks

Sorry to hear about your BF issue, I'm afraid I never lasted long enough to get any realy experience so no advice for you, but I hope things settle down for you soon.

oh link it please!

I get a couple of hours a day on my own, with DD2 napping and the others at school, so its not overwhelming. I fear that will be short lived though.

Interesting what you say about what you were eating and the significant effects.

well you'd think so, which is why I'm so baffled by the school of thought (only on MN!) that what you eat doesn't make a difference to the quality of milk, only possibly the production of the milk. Odd, isnt it?

you can whinge all you like Butterfly

I was under a certain amount of pressure to give up. I did feel like a freak.

But I was happy to give up as DD was more demanding, and not just crying, but digging around quite um, enthusiastically, for my breasts.

Crikey, I'm watching Jade Goody on Living. Its sad and depressing.
