It's quite funny it is newsworthy, this moldy stuff. There must be more important things/entertaining things happening. Surely?

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 28/12/2008 22:01

6 Snickers....bloody hell.....doing a good line in (homemade) mince pies though

We have got through 10 pints of blue milk this week so far though farking indigestion!

Right, just a quickie tonight for me....got to be at hospital for AN at 9am tomorrow .

night x

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 22:02

he is from my neck of the woods foxy. had I bothered with college I maybe would have met him pre-sleb. but he did a cookery show at Harewood House that I went to with DH, we watched him cook and he signed my book. I bought a tshirt off his brand stall too, DH wears it, but it was for me as I was PG with DS2 and it said "best before" on it. It was a very brief meeting. I think DH saw him the NEC too. I probably would like him less if he wasn't a yorkshireman!

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 22:02

I know Christmas news is a bit lacking (which I consider a good thing - no news is good news and all that) but it was a shite article about nothing much.

Right, I am off to bed with Dawn French. Well, her book Dear Fatty

night all

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 22:03

good luck for AN norty.

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 22:03

Good luck tomorrow Norty

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 22:04

night foxy.

I am hanging on for NYE and my bottle of fizz with either the new Alan Titchmarsh/Maeve Binchy. That will be my NYE treat.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 28/12/2008 22:05

Night ladies....I'm going in for a fight about having a section.....

Sleep well x

Bumperlicious · 28/12/2008 23:09

Fury if you are lurking IT WASN'T MY QUOTE!

Fuckers, I'm really fucked off, wish I'd never got involved in the whole thing. MNHQ don't want to delete my posts and it's not important enough to press the issue. I could name change but I will lose the relationships I have here with other people.

It was worse for revjustabout though

Trace, so good that you all had a good christmas, if not a lot of sleep!

Good luck Norty x

Sputnik · 28/12/2008 23:20

Foxy it was very brave of you to go anywhere near those scales.

Sputnik · 28/12/2008 23:28

I think the dumb journo copied and pasted the quotes and got the names the wrong way round, ie the poster underneath IYSWIM.
Nobody outside of MN though gives a shit, as Fury said.
So try not to let it get to you.

justbeme · 28/12/2008 23:47

Evening all! Hope you all had a good time.

I tried to open that link to Bumpers thread thing - but it didnt work for me. Whats occuring???

Sputnik · 29/12/2008 00:04

Looks like they deleted it. Some articles came out in the papers about this MN row.
How's things JBM? How was working on xmas day?

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 29/12/2008 09:33

sputnik....they didn't even get the poster underneath; that would have been understandable, if unforgiveable. The quotes were just mis-quoted. Some feel that the indie article was written by someone who is a moldie or has an axe to grind otherwise why get the names mixed up unless to incite more outrage?

arses bumper that they won't delete anything. I hope this has no consequences for you. The name change is a good idea and can be done so that folks still know it's you but you can't be searched.

DS2 reverted back to type las tnight so I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning. I did most of the night shift as DH back at work this morning.

So far I have shouted at DD and paddled DSs backside . Finding parenting three needy children just a leeeetle bit hard work, especially as they were all whinging and crying at the same time today.

DS1 continually tries to hang on to and cuddle DD, which she doesn't like or want 99% of the time. As soon as he goes near her she starts screaming, and in spite of being continually sent to his room just won't stop it. It's driving us all nuts and this is what started everything off this morning. Him not listening, carrying on regardless and then kicking off and threatening me when I sent him to his room. So how did I punish his aggressive behaviour? by being aggressive myself. I am so angry with myself for not being able to react calmly. he also doesn't acknowledge he has been spoken to, ever, and seems incapable of listening. I will not be winning any parent of the year award any time soon

sorry for being such a moany cow.

hey jbm, hope you had a good christmas inspite of having to work

trace, I'm glad Chloe has been well over Christmas, but much empathy coming your way over the lack of sleep.

how was wales sputnik?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 29/12/2008 10:04

hey daisy, don't worry. you won't get beaten by me in parenting awards either. yesterday i had another day where I really felt like shouting FFS at them, just to see if the bad language shocked them enough to make them realise how wound up I was. no consolation to you but things should get better for me after tomorrow as I'll be able to use DFs car, so we will start going to the beach/forestry to get some distance between us

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 29/12/2008 10:32

I'm sure it's just a combination of cabin fever, illness and sleep deprivation Ria.

We are off out after lunch to run off some of their cooped up energy.

Re moldies Daisy, one of my favourite quotes is "never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity", so probably not stirring, just a fuck up. Maybe people are that petty though and I am too generous!

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time, hope things get easier. I still have problems sometimes getting DH to acknowledge he's been spoken to btw

Wales was great, seeing family etc but it was over too quickly. Also we didn't go anywhere really because the thought of Cardiff 2 days before xmas with 2 small children was too much, then it was holiday and then we were off again.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 29/12/2008 12:14

Mine is on 1st Feb Sputnik....I will be the big 40 and spending it languishing in the spa at CentreParcs....which reminds me I need to book the spa, and buy a new cossie.

Anyone know where I can get the spanx version of a swimsuit that will hide all my fat and make me look lush?

sorry meant to say woohoo on the CS date Norty .

lol at the quote sputnik. It just seems to have grown arms and legs this whole thing; although I can see why some of the old guard are a bit peeved at the secrecy of the new site and the vetoing process for membership to the inner sanctum. to the lot of em.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 29/12/2008 12:44

yay for CS date nory

which center parcs daisy?

hi sputnik

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 29/12/2008 13:16

Oooh yes, for CS date Norty.

Daisy, are you going to CP near Penrith? Or have I made that up? If you are there, do you know if guests can come in for the day? I might be able to persuade DH that we should go see his folks and that I should bring Jamlet to see you for the day is so?

Feel a bit mean. We are off work but have taken jamlet to nursery anyway. Suffice to say we have big smiles on our faces for the first time in a while
