daisy, I think if you cover the bottom in a thick layer of salt and heat it up, that should make them not stick. I'm fairly sure DH has done something similar

kids only just gone to sleep!

DH is not working tomorrow. Will have to get the fry-up stuff out of the freezer again.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 23:34

does that work with stainless steel pans Ria? DH thinks it might just be carbon steel ones.

I think I have my fecking period already . Not effing, blinding, sodding well fair

Although it might be an infection (started as a yellwoy discharge a couple of days ago and now some spotting and cramping) but difficult to tell since I feel so ill with this throat bug.

My Dad had a saying.....if he was feeling particularly crap he used to say he wished someone would rub him out and draw him in all over again. That's exactly how I feel at the minute

bumper...you are famous....although I think you may have been mis-represented .

Look at soapy's post of 11 something ish on Saturday!

Morning. Thanks for the heads up daisy. I'm not very happy. That article has freaked me out a little bit and I have asked MN to delete all my posts up to now. I hope they do. I have posted far too much personal stuff, stuff probably most of my friends know anyway but I really don't want anyone searching on my name that they saw in the papers. Plus this is not good for me from a work perspective. what a pile of shit. I need a MN break. Don't know if I will take one yet (not sure if I can!) but i will think about eat and ease off I think.

Oh joy, DD has learned "no" and throwing things on the floor!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 28/12/2008 10:06

bumper, I wouldn't worry about it too much as I doubt anyone will care enough, and surely the indie isn't read by the sort of people who would be internet stalkers. sorry you have been misquoted though, makes you look a bit rough and ready, when in fact you are lovely and were trying to be fair and reasonable on the moldie thread as a whole. And I don't think people will be able to figure out who you are from your posts or what you do, so try not to worry about that bit of it (although I'd wipe the photos from your profile)

It does smack to me that it has been written with a view to stirring things up even further with all those misquotes, which I think were done on purpose. and, given the number of journos that post on here and on the moldies board, and the moldies desperation to justify their existence.....well I'm putting two and two together and coming up with a number not too far away from four. But I am a cynical old cow.

It's soured MN a bit for me though. Will be sticking to PN as much as possible now!

ah i see you have hidden your profile!

On a lighter note, bumble was a star in the sleep department last night . DH put him in his cot upstairs at about 10. He fed when I went to bed at just after 1, went straight back to sleep and that was him until just after 6. He has been awake for a bit this morning and is now having a nap. Feels like a normal baby for the first time! Is it the start of something good...or a one off. We shall see!

It's just a wake up call daisy. I always knew it was a public forum but it's just a shock to see my name in black and white, especially to be misquoted. I've thought for a while now that I have gone too far on here, this just tipped the balance for me. I do think when I post things "would I mind if the person I was posting found out about this?" and the answer has always been that I'd rather they didn't and the chances that they would are slim, but if they did I would weather it, i.e. there is nothing that people could blackmail me with which is the risk that I face with work. I would rather people didn't know it was me but I would never let someone threaten me over it if that makes sense. DH's work thing put it a bit of perspective, I posted a couple of thread on it, but if it goes to court the lawyers could have searched and found things that I said, so I asked for some to be deleted back then.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 28/12/2008 11:00

ikwym bumper

wonder what my MIL would make of it all if she could read what I've posted about her

I have posted on the current thread and thinking that maybe I shouldn't have. Am hiding it now and walking away.

from the thread, not MN!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 28/12/2008 14:16

just been reading the christmas appeal thread, and though it is very heartwarming, I can't help feel a little miffed that although I emailed to say I would give, and had an acknowledgement back from this years organiser, I wasn't contacted with a recipient. I also nominated someone and from reading the thread it doesn't appear that they received anything either....although tis possible they didn't want to be involved.

Should I contact the organiser or just leave it and say bah humbug to it all next year?

Seasons greetings all

Hope you are all well and enjoying the festivities, and get lots of goodies for Christmas.

I am just posting and running... saw the IoS... Bumper, my goodness

I saw that you were worried about being 'discovered'.

I wouldn't be. I have a RL stalker who hasn't found me here yet, and he's quite tech savvy.
Nor has he found my blog. Or Flickr account.

And why would they bother? You didn't say anything that would have PI's sniffing around. I think tbh the only people that read it and gave a shit were people that post on MN.

I am in Essex atm. Moving to London soon. All fun and games. Foxy, must do lunch. Westfield has some lovely places.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 28/12/2008 15:22

good to see you lovely; come and chat soon

you could always do a complete name-change bumper, am I right in thinking the only person who can see nickname history is you? (or MNet tech maybe?)

trace2 · 28/12/2008 17:19

Sputnik · 28/12/2008 18:22

Hi Trace and everyone else

Happy belated xmas to all, I am now back home in my house which is freezing despite having the heating on all day. We woke up this morning to snow! Luckily it melted in time for us to hit the supermarket though, as we'd no food in.

Anyway, we had a great time, it was just over a bit too quick really. We hardly set foot out the door once we were there mind, but that's a Brit xmas for you, I suppose

Bumper I really wouldn't worry, anyway if you've deleted everything then no probs.

God all this moldies stuff, I have dipped in and out but can't be bothered really.

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 19:50

Ahh Bumper, if you will stray from the harmony of your AN/PN thread and get involved in such things Seriously, it is worrying. I agree with Sputnik, might be time for a name change.

How is everyone else? Sounds like everyone had an OK time (not so good about the late night/early morning Trace, but great about Chloe).

Righto, who can beat my 7.5 pounds weight-gain in 4 days?!

Ekka · 28/12/2008 21:17

Merry Xmas to you all! The inlaws have headed over to Germany for a few days, so I've got a little bit of time to catch up. We had a good time, though last Xmas was easier, ds at 2 months is a bit young for Xmas, though dd loved it!

Must dash as ds is grumpy (another cold poor lad), I've put a xmas pic on my profile if you're interested! Hopefully I'll be able to catch up better soon

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 21:38

Hey Ekka! Merry Christmas to you lovely lady

Your wee Santas are adorable (although I was temporarily distracted by the gigantic pile of pressies behind them ).

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 21:47

aww, gorgeous santas Ekka. Glad you are still popping by.

I expect I have beaten your weight gain foxy but I am too scared to look. Something will be done though.

DM&F left about 45 mins ago after playing Wii with the boys. I have to confess to a little tear and needing a hug from DH We will see them briefly tomorrow, but not for long, and that'll be it til March. DM said she half doesn't want to go, which makes me feel and for making her feel like that. DS2 won't go to sleep tonight. They will miss them too. I will be fine once they've gone, I just hate goodbyes.

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 21:48

Ria

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 21:51

I could only face one glass of wine too

Wii is fab though, I am crap at all of it. Even DM bowls better than me. I am going to save up and buy DH Hells Kitchen

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 21:53

I like boxing. Bloody hurts your arms though!

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 28/12/2008 21:54

Ria......

Foxy, bet I can beat you....but not going to check

All this moldies stuff is amazing....I also can't be bothered....did look at the article in Sainsbury's this morning.....Nappies at Dawn ....what a load of old bollocks!

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 21:56

You are PG. Tis acceptable. If you hadn't put on more than me I'd be disappointed in you. I could eat six snickers ice creams in one sitting during my last PG.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2008 21:56

DS2 is Mohammed Ali I think it is because he is named after that Vin Diesel character. So baggins should be excellent, his namesake once having been Rocky

Just watching James Martin cry about is car. Is that his girlfriend? He has a nice bum! Not sure about his personality though. I liked him when I met him, but I felt I should have been throwing myself at him

Ohforfoxsake · 28/12/2008 21:58

ooh, have you met him? when? where?

I don't think he is sexy in the slightest.

Sorry James. I know you will be crushed by that.
