Morning. Glad you had a good night's sleep Daisy. DH slept on living room floor last night (like a dog, he said )so I had the best sleep have had since he got back - his snoring has been driving me mad, that and taking up valuable space that I need for my bump & dozen pillows.

Feel like could even make it out of the house today - didn't even get out of jammies yesterday .

Got lovely Xmas present from DT's - stretch marks . Didn't get any last time & been OK up till now, then Xmas Day the bastards appeared. Yuk.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 11:38

hi tallulah.

sorry for your stretch marks, but am impressed that it has taken this long for them to appear, given the majestic state of your bump! How many weeks are you now?

I got loads with DS1, a few more with DD and then nothing with DS2.

I live in my pjs most days at the minute as well.

and DH better get used to sleeping on the floor........the bed will be just as full when you have a twin either side of you all night!!

Will be 38 weeks on Tues. Think they're a bit too comfy in there. Was assured was unlikely to go past 36 weeks.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 12:25

My SIL was spontaneous at 38 plus 2. won't be long now!!!!!

I hope my moaning about how fecking awful I'm finding things with a toddler and one baby isn't making you too scared

I am sick of food beans on toast and posh biscuits for lunch. would have been ok with a glass of bucks fizz though, but didn't think just a saturday warranted it.

am of your day and of your nights sleep daisy. In the NY I think we will really have to address the sleeping issues in our house.

sorry for your strech marks tbelle. I have had them forever now.

are we having another new year, new us thread again this year?

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 12:39

oh, lol ria....I am obviously still having residual sleep deprivation! I misread your last sentence as "we have having another in the new year" I was until I re-read it four times to get the real meaning

Evening all.

Glad you got some sleep daisy.

Chilled day here. DH and I just watched It's a Wonderful Life and I shed a little tear! Dad and little bro's coming for a couple of nights tomorrow.

Hope you are all ok.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 27/12/2008 18:04

Evening all

Relatively chilled day here as well.....DD had a crap night - v unusual for her and I was up a million times as usual, so had a 2 hour snooze in front of the TV this morning, and took mum home this afternoon after a huge fry-up

Went to boots and bought £16 of indigestion liquid...last 2 bottles only lasted a week!

will be 34 weeks tomorrow Daisy....hospital appointment on Monday....and think I'm gonna ask for elective section....I'm such a baby.......and yes, you are scaring me about how on earth I'm going to manage .....everyone sent you nice sleep messages, and mine said "fuck, what have I done" ....I'll forgive you though, and glad you got some sleep last night

Oh Tallulah, you might have NYE babies

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 27/12/2008 19:58

Evening all. Back from our travels. Had a great time . Not even tried to catch up yet, but just wanted to say thank you to my secret santa!!!! Yum yum yum yum yum! (Have had a wee taste so far, more to come after dinner )

FestiveFairyFay · 27/12/2008 20:10

Hi Jammy, welcome back. And hello everyone else.

So shall we all tell what we got from Santa?

I got a really beautiful hand-embroidered and beaded Santa christmas tree decoration. It's gorgeous

TALLULAHBELLE · 27/12/2008 20:29

Evening All,

16 quid Norty - get your heartburn stuff on prescription or from minor ailments scheme. I get huge bottles of gaviscon & ranitidine tablets for free. Did you have section last time ?

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 27/12/2008 20:51

Jamlet was ill over Christmas She had a roaring temperature on Xmas Eve and Day. I was getting worried about her. But I didn't want to be trying to get hold of a doctor on Christmas Day, so we hung on and dosed her with ibuprofen and the temp started coming down on Boxing Day She is still very snotty and not eating properly (her last decent meal was Tuesday lunchtime) but getting perkier. But she managed to have a good time all the same. She loved the decorations etc and my ILs 5 cats, though not sure they were so keen on her! And she got so very excited on Christmas morning - we had a sticking for her, and my ILs had done one as well, so she had loads to open. She was laying on our bed bouncing up and down and kicking her legs with excitement! She then had to wait until after the queen's speech for main presents, and we didn't get them all open by her bedtime, so continued on Boxing Day. And we have some here for her that we didn't have room to take up with us in the car, so there will be more tomorrow! She had loads of Night Garden stuff, and dumper trucks which she loves. But most of all she loved the ELC Lift Off Rocket that she bought for DH .

And I had lovely gifts from DH and family, and some yummy yummy home made florentines and some Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate from Secret Santa. (DH ordered from Hotel Chocolate in the sales ).

OK, off to sort some more unpacking and stuff. See you all later.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 27/12/2008 20:52

at £16

my SS prezzie was a gorgeous bracelet. It is really lovely, thank you.

Just back from DM&Fs. She said she feels guilty for going away so obviously I need a kick up the arse and not let her see I am not looking forward to them going I think we will go out on Tuesday so we aren't in when they leave. Does that make any sense? I am such a baby

Best get these boys to bed in case DH in from work promptly.

How were the races foxy?

I know it's a bit late now, but in case anyone needs in next year - there was someone whose birthday was on the 24th Dec on the radio the other day and they were called Eve.

FestiveFairyFay · 27/12/2008 20:53

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 27/12/2008 20:55

Glad you had a good time and jamlet is feeling better.

Jammy, you have samba de amigos don't you? Is it any good?
The argos sale has some good wii bargains. I quite fancy a half price nujchuck (apparently we need another one, and half price seems reasonable!)

FestiveFairyFay · 27/12/2008 21:04

I feel the need for bargains but the sales don't seem that great generally. I really need some new saucepans

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 27/12/2008 21:08

I need new pans (and a new cooker really) but the ones we have (and the cooker) belonged to my Gran and I can't bear to replace them.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 21:21

norty, I can send you several packs of gaviscon tablets if you like....I have loads left; the double action ones as well as some prescription ones. I'll pop them in the post with tinky winky . I have some liquid as well, but not sure that would post too well.

the secret santa pressies all sound lovely.

fairy we need new saucepans as well. I'm not sure if it's just that they are worn out (they are about 15 years old, but expensive copper bottom ones), or putting them in the dishwasher has done something to them, but everything seems to be sticking to them. We DH is fed up having to chip stuff off them after I've been cooking.

OP posts:
HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 27/12/2008 21:25

Haven't had time to play it much Ria, but was fun when we have played it

We are hoping to go sales shopping tomorrow. But the big thing is that DH bought a new dishwasher in the sale on Xmas Day! So no more making do with our broken one, which has been broken for, oooh about 3 years (The advantage of not opening presents until 3pm is that you can do internet browsing until then)

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 27/12/2008 21:27

jammy, sorry DD has been poorly as well and hope she is better soon. We have our eye on the rocket for DDs birthday.

DD has ripped her fingernail off and won't leave it alone. It is starting to look very swollen and she keeps catching it and making it bleed again, and rips any plaster off after five mins then stands in front of the shelves looking at the first aid box shouting plaster . she also has about six teeth coming in at once and has hardly eaten anything for days.....she is also of the opinion that of she doesn't eat food she will be allowed "cocogat"

OMG; watching Casualty, and it looks like toby is about to drown

OP posts:
HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 27/12/2008 21:37

The rocket is very popular here. It kept her happy while us adults opened our presents while she was feeling too poorly to be bothered with hers.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 27/12/2008 21:47

OK, off to bed for me. Really looking forward to my own bed after 5 nights away

FestiveFairyFay · 27/12/2008 21:48

We got the rocket too Jammy, DS LOVES it. Definitely his best present

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 27/12/2008 22:16

Welcome back everyone

Could get my indigestion stuff on prescription....but that would involve going to see that woman that is supposed to be a GP (who STILL hasn't told me if I need to drop my AD dose before DC2 arrives).

6 weeks to go...the end is in sight...then I will get myself back on the gall bladder list

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 27/12/2008 22:22

Debenhams usually have good deals on their saucepans....that's where I got mine last year...and they are still doing really well.

How's the new house Fairy?

I can't find anything I want to buy in the sales....don't even need any baby stuff....

Took DD out today, and she insisted on taking Upsy Daisy with her....
