my money would be on a viral rash foxy. but my boys seem to get them at the mereest whiff of being poorly.

No Wii here today, DH went to work without setting it up. Too much food again though.

Hello

Time for my self imposed ban to be over!

Had a lovely couple of days. My mum and sister were up yesterday and left today and actually it was all cool (usually recipe for tears and tantrums). I have over indulged too much, the last two nights I have had a cracking headache, too much sugar and alcohol! Today we were with DH's family.

DD had a fab couple of days and has been fabby. She loves all her toys (though we got a lot of noisy ones - probably part of the reason for my headache yesterday).

Hope you all had a lovely time. Hope DD is ok Foxy. I have had a rash for two weeks now and it won't go with anti histamines. I've been itching like mad! And really knackered too.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 26/12/2008 19:49

evening all

Natty...no worries lovely; I just mentioned incase it had gone adrift in the post.

Well, we didn't get finished until gone 1am on Christmas morning...next year I will be organised!! But, bumble did a four hour stint so I at least had some sleep. But, I have tonsilitis and felt pretty shit all day yesterday and today...and bumble has gone nocturnal. He didn't settle until 5 this morning. DH and I are at each others throats as we are both ill and tired ans struggling to cope with the older two....who are also grumpy with cold, teething and overexcitement. It's now a competition to see who can hold out longest when one or other of them start crying .

The Wii is great though, DD loves her new bike and the dolls house she got from the PILs, but the biggest hits of her toys have been the box of Little Robots duplo that DS bequeathed her and a pile of loose change and a money tin that cost £1.50 in Poundstretcher!!

MIL was her usual self. I told her ages ago we were having lamb.....she told me "I don't eat meat, just a little chicken" (everytime we go out for lunch though she eats a big plate of roast and all the trimmings ). so we tried to get some chicken, but none to be had when DH did the shop so he bought a turkey crown instead. Came to serve up the food "turkey, mum?" asked DH...."No, not for me, I'll just have a little slice of lamb" . He started trying to talk her round...are you sure etc etc etc.....so I jumped in and told her that we'd only got it because she had said she didn't eat meat when I mentioned lamb. She ate it!!! she drives me potty. DH just laughs it off and says "ooh that's mums for you" but she is particularly contrary. Still it was a good day; I was determined not to let her spoil it for me the old witch.

Now, if we could only sort out the nocturnal baby.

Just popping in quickly to say I hope evryone had a lovely christmas and a HUGE thank you to my Secret Santa. I absolutely LOVE it and it must have taken you ages so thank you so much.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 26/12/2008 20:59

Hello daisy and fairy!

Just FYI I didn't get my SS prezzy yet either, which is totally cool, but like daisy, just wanted to mention it in case it should have come already.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 26/12/2008 21:31

hey fairy

I'm off to express some milk and then go to bed. Feeling ike shoite and struggling to see why we even decided to have another baby at the minute....tiss soo bloody hard. DD has about six teeth all coming in at once as well and sge won't eat and is grumpy and miserable and if it isn't her or bumble crying...it's both of them.

and the aby won;t be put down this evening . We have resorted to calpol as he is still poorly with the cold, and I have even considered taking cocodamol for my throst rather than just paracetomol, in the hope that it'll make him sleep and eyeing up the medised bottle wistfully

he's not even 8 weeks old; am a shite mum really.

aw daisy hard day is it for you then?
know what u mean about both babies crying, last christmas i had the same thing, both of mine were under 2 and i was shattered. it gets better, and quickly, just the first few months are hardest.

ellen is being a really naughty little bugger, trashing the house, saying NO to everything, tantrums the lot. feeling very stressed, have taken down the christmas decs already got sick of shouting at her to leave them alone. BAH HUMBUG!

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 21:48

Ahh, shit Daisy sorry its so shite. It will get better.

and for not having your Christmas decs up anymore natty! Hope that doesn't make it feel like its all over!

Go on Fairy - what did you get?

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 26/12/2008 22:00

Oh daisy, don't worry, you are not a shite mum, we've all been there. Really sorry you are having a tough time.

You too Natty, sorry that Ellen is being difficult. How's the new house?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 26/12/2008 22:12

hang in there daisy. it's not easy if you're all ill, plus it's bloody christmas, plus you had to be nice to your PILs yesterday (that could have an effect on the DCs too, mine are always little feckers when we've visited the PILs), and if any of the DCs are suffering badly with the cold then medised isn't a bad thing. You would only be shite if you gave them it every day on the dot of 30 mins before bestime (or whatever). Medicine for illness is fine, medicine for the sake of it is not. You know what I mean

Probably the excitement of the move getting to your DD natty. I'm sure she'll be fine when you get settled in. They're funny little things with vhanges to routine/upheavl (sp?)

I have just (finally) sent my first assignment. DH appears to be sulking and intending to watch pirates of the caribbean. He only had to play Wii with the boys for an hour FGS.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 26/12/2008 22:14

I thought he might want to play Wii with me

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 26/12/2008 22:19

Wii rocks!

What course is it you are doing Ria?

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:19

DP won't play the Wii with me either Ria.

Scared to lose, the wimps!

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:20
ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 26/12/2008 22:23

Evening all

My DH is watching football first as they actually won for the first time in ages - thank fuck for that! He sulks when they lose....probably like your 6 year old Foxy

Had a good couple of days....DD been very unsettled tonight, so she did get medised....hope it makes her feel better (if she feels ill) and makes her sleep!

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 26/12/2008 22:24

God I've had too many after eights already thanks Foxy....did you see the Royle Family last night.....enough to put anyone eating them....dirty bugger!

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:24

Was a good win too Norty! Happy boys here!

How is your Christmas Norty?

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:25

Eurgh! His jeans {bleurgh emoticon]

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 26/12/2008 22:34

didn't watch the Royale family. never have actually.

I haven't seen any xmas telly at all.

Amazon have got £3 off MP3 downloads until the end of today (£3 refunded by 9th Jan I think it said) here

bumper, I'm doing introducing environment. It's a 10 credits course. People keep asking me what I'll be when it's finished. My answer is currently "relieved". It was really really stupid to think I could cope with it over christmas (or ever). the end date is the day after my birthday.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 26/12/2008 22:35

Quite....dirty git....it was the yuletide log that sent me over the edge....

Yeah, good Xmas thanks....DD was great....strange to think I'll have a 2.5 year old and an 11 month old next Xmas....then I read Daisy's post about DS2 going to sleep at 5am....fuck, what have I done!!

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 26/12/2008 22:37

The online sales are shit....anyone found anything decent?

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:38

Not settling til 5 am is not good. Poor Daisy.

We are all tired, had a day of nothing much today, and we all needed it.

You'll have a great Christmas next year Norty - two toddlers. And lots of alcohol

Ohforfoxsake · 26/12/2008 22:39

yeah, I found a computer cabinet on Next. But when I had my 'VIP' slot, there were none left Crap.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 26/12/2008 22:40

Shall look forward to that....had a glass of port Xmas Eve and due to months of heartburn, the inside of my oesphagus is obviously red rare and every mouthful burnt....so my current tipple is full fat milk...DD and I have drunk 6 pints since Wednesday!
