Oh yeah, get organised for Xmas. That's what I should be doing. Later!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 17:38

I am in disgrace. I think it was the bit where I said to DH I just needed to get the rest of the presents out . Of course I didn't help myself when I said "so how many of these (that have been hidden away most of the year) did you pay for then". He may forgive me as I bought him a bottle of red.

I didn't realise the strictly special had been on, I thought it was on Xmas day (not to self, go through TV guide with highlighter so I don't miss anything else) It is a bit unfair on Tom, whether he was the worst dancer or not he didn;t deserve the snide comments there have been in the press, or calls for him to pull out of the show. It wasn't his fault. Obviously the powers that be don't think things through enough. And to be able to dance at all under that kind of pressure deserves some recognition.

I believe "modlie" is a slang term for Maouri in the part of NZ my dsis has just left. Don't know what it means on here though. I was a bit about the christmas menus thread too.

Megan is Scottish isn't it? Heather is the best though. Have one of each Tbelle, as we can't think of girls names

how much longer so you have left norty?

did you go to your parents butterfly, or is your heating sorted?

Hi sputnik, where in Wales are you?

hi daisy & holly & everyone I've missed.

Teatime...

Hello everyone

Sorry, I've been moonlighting for a few days one the Moldies thread (I know, I know, but I got sucked in, and we were having quite a lot of fun!).

Anyway, having wasted spent a lot of time on here the past few days I'm going to try and have a break over Christmas, in fact I am going to tell DH not to let me back on until after Boxing day, I can do this.

So, just wanted to wish you lovely girlies a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, see you very soon. Hope you all have lots of fun.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 19:53

merry christmas bumper, hope you have a good one!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 19:57

I may have redeemed myself with DH as the living room is spotless, furniture slightly moved round, the floor is clean and all the toys are in regimental arrangements! (just how I like it to be, but it never is)

I wonder which name I'm thinking of, I have "Meg" in my mind from somewhere. Katriona? Thea is nice, but not scottish.

glad you got your gas butterfly, and that you are going to your Dads service.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 19:58

Now, must be a parent and get these boys to bed (or at least bathed and parked in front of the TV- it is christmas)

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 20:21

I thought meg was a scottish diminutive of margaret? as is maisie.

heather is lovely though tallulah; one of my bezzy mates is a heather and she is a star

Have a Merry Christmas bumper and we'll see you at 9am on Boxing Day

We have started the nightly patting and rocking of the baby How is it he can feed and go back to sleep between the hours of 3am and 7pm but from 7pm to 3am he is grouchy and windy and crying.

Anyone watching Holby? what a crock of shoite......Holby City does a Christmas Carol

oops

hello to ria and Butterfly as well

OP posts:
GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 20:46

aha I just assumed it was short for megan. I like Meg, but not Megan or Margaret.
Time for bed. Just hope the boys are asleep by 9.30 in case DH is early!

Ohforfoxsake · 23/12/2008 20:53

Megan is DD1s favourite name. Its 'her' name when she (we) play. I have to be 'Violet's Mum' (presumably her second favourite name)

Now, I am baffled.

Who sent me my SS gift then?

C'mon, own up! From Bournemouth. Andie might have, but not her name on the back of the package. I don't know anyone else who is down there. With the initials RR? Or is that a smokescreen?

One of you is very, very sneaky!

Thank you whoever you are!

FestiveFairyFay · 23/12/2008 21:19

Hello everyone, have had a brief skim but not had time to catch up properly. Just wanted to say thanks to my Secret Santa. I did manage to post my gift so I hope that arrived as well.

House move has happened, although the delivery firm couldn't fit all our crap valuables in their van so a few more bits coming on 29th. spent 7 hours unpacking today while Mum had DCs. Going to do same tomorrow and on 27th and hope to be in on 28th or 29th.

Not sure whether I'll get on much in the next week or so, so Happy Christmas and Happy New Year (just in case!). I love you all, thanks for all your friendship and support this year. Mwah, mwah

Ohforfoxsake · 23/12/2008 21:31

Aww, congratulations with the new home Fairyfay! Hope you will be very happy there

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 21:34

Good Luck with the new house Fairy.....and Natty as well

I look forward to beating you at scrabble from your new residence

Hey Daisy! [fmile] how are you doing?

Ohforfoxsake · 23/12/2008 21:52

no one here to talk to?

ho-hum

ho-ho-ho-hum, I mean

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 21:54

not great foxy

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 23/12/2008 21:58

have you got rid of the thrush Daisy? I remember that burning pain (hot needles passing though the nipples deep into the breast?) from DS1. Antibiotics won't help, does DS2 definately not have it? I'm wondering if you are perhaps reinfecting each other and its gone deeper?

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 22:02

doesn't feel like thrush, at least not what i've felt before; that was more of a dull ache into my armpits. DS's mouth looks clear as well.

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 23/12/2008 22:03

Can you get to the doctors tomorrow?

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 22:12

possibly; will see what it's like through the night. Not sure what they will say though. I can speak to my HV, but I tell ya, I'm bloody sick of this.......and the fact that he is thriving inspite of my ishoos makes every HCP I see say "it can't be serious or he wouldn't be thriving"

OP posts:
GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 22:14

daisy.

More wishes for happiness in your new home frmo me too Fairy and happy christmas too

There are indeed some crafy buggers secret santas out there, no clue with mine either. thank you, I am excited. Hope mine arrives safely. sorry it's not handcrafted or inventive, but I hope you enjoy it.

My "friend" did not reply to my email about gifts. She has gone away to her new family too, without a festive email or anything. I feel we have been dumped. DS1 didn't even get a card from her DS (ok, so he was secretly relieved as he has decided he doesn't like him all that much because he is too selfish and rude). In fact DS1 only got 3 cards in total.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 23/12/2008 22:16

x-post there daisy. Maybe he is thriving, but it's not fair on you to have to suffer so much.

how long left before the big day? I can't be arsed to wrap tonight.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 22:46

I never got round to handmade either....but I think I have an excuse.......

.......my extensive MN habit
