Well that didn't take long.
Congrats on the new house Natty

Is it really sunny in Wales? ....good to be back?

Well my shopping turned up from Tescos....on time....everything I wanted....no substitutes and every in date . Managed to get it all in the fridge as well, without booting any beer out of the beer fridge....DH will be relieved.

Fingers crossed for a quiet Xmas Tallulah...OMG the thought of having to go through it twice! Brave lady. Heather is a lovely name . We have now got a girls name and completely changed our minds over a boy .

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 11:49

helloooo.....save me from grouchy toddler and hyperactive, over-excited six year olds.

DD is choked with the cold and is at that stage where everything causes a huge upset.

First pram arrived today...an Out and About Nipper 360 . tis red and lovely.

got an ouchy burny boob again today . I am not a natural BFer; every week seems like another struggle, inspite of DS thriving.

Oh, and the kindness of strangers.....DD had ripped a bit of her fingernail and was bleeding as we got out of the car at the shops this morning. A passerby stopped, whipped out some antiseptic cream and a plaster and sorted her out. Made me as I didn't even have a tissue on me to wipe it!

and blardy hell...Moldiegate is a bit shitty isn't it?

Funnily enough tallulah, my sister's name is Heather! Hope you are doing ok, it must be a bit crappy being so heavily pg over christmas.

Happy Christmas trace, hope chloe is well and hope you all have a lovely, stress free time.

How exciting daisy! Do you know what you are getting or are they just going to turn up unannounced? It's like extra Christmas pressies for you!! Sorry you are having bfing woes. It is so hard sometimes to keep going isn't it? Hope it gets better soon.

Hope you are having a lovely time at hope Sputnik.

I am full of cold, I have a terrible cough and sore throat. I am trying to rest a bit today so hopefully it'll be better by Christmas day.

Has everyone finished shopping and wrapping yet?

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 23/12/2008 12:21

Daisy, from my experience the only people that usually want their products returned are Toys'R'Us (though not always), Chicco (they'll let you keep it if you ask them), Dorel (Maxi Cosi, Loola, Quinny), Mamas and Papas (they'll send you a returns label, but I never send them back and no-one has ever chased me) and Britax. Obviously you will be getting some different brands, but I have found that on the whole you will get to keep them. After all what will a company do with a used pushchair?

Out and About are the UK distributors for P&T as well, so I wonder if they'll send you a P&T as well as a Nipper?

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 23/12/2008 12:25

Butterfly....did you see you'd won a MN competition...

Hi everyone else. for all those that are ill or have ill LOs....hope it goes in time for Xmas.

Looking forward to hearing about the double buggies Daisy....I got an £80 voucher from work, and that's what it will be going towards....

what is all this moldie stuff....from what I can work out its some kind of secret forum, but there is too much to read....more to the point, who's on it and pissed everyone else off?

I've got a right bloody headache....pre-Xmas headache I think even though everything is done ....gonna go out and walk the dog and hopefully it'll clear (together with some chocolate )

I kept all my highchairs, including M&P....got a letter with mine saying please keep with our compliments...and a soft toy

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 23/12/2008 12:29

That's nice norty, I got to keep all my highchairs too and the baby carriers, but with larger items, like pushchairs and cotbeds (I've just finished a big cotbed test) some companies do want them returned.

Hope you are ok too, I am very glad I am not pg and never will be again!!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 12:49

I was thinking that as well about what they would do with a used buggy (unless they had a sepcific tester buggy that they sent out each time it was needed).....they give out the buggies knowing that they are getting the advertising from the appearance in the mag...prolly cheaper than paying for an advert!

I'm glad no-one wanted the highchairs back...can you imagine some poor sod at the head office having to chip old weetabix off them

I obviously got to keep all the nappies

....wanna buy a pram missus? eh? pucker gear, innit?

I soooo want to adopt a polar bear. wish they would stop showing that advert or I'm gonna do it!!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 12:51

holly, did you go and see about your plumbing?

OP posts:
deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 23/12/2008 12:53

That's it daisy, people really do pay attention to the tester bits in the mags and buy the recommended products. It is better than any advert and probably loads cheaper. A few buggies is a small price to pay. In fact if companies do ask for them back I always tell people what a bunch of cheapskates they are!!

I think my head is full of snot!!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 23/12/2008 12:54

No . It is one of my NY resolutions though. That and getting ds to sleep through the night and paying more attention to my children during the day!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 13:12

i got a four hour stretch of undisturbed sleep last night......and feel fantastic for it! That's pretty sad isn't it?

OP posts:
deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 23/12/2008 13:34

He woke 5 times last night. Sometimes I feel like selling him on ebay! He is now following me round the house trying to get me to bf him. I have forgotten what personal space is!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 13:43

ouch holly; even my teeny tiny boy only wakes once...but then he doesn't settle until after 2am most nights so it would be hard for him to fit any more wakings in!!

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 23/12/2008 14:05

OOH - Daisy. Am so . The nipper is my 1st choice. Can't wait to hear how you find it. Am loathe to shell out cash on double until I know it's worth it. Never really happy with pram we got for DD so don't want to make same mistake again.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 14:16

are you going to get a buggy board for DD then T?

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 23/12/2008 14:31

Don't think she'd manage on buggy board right now. Thought I'd put DT's in her Loola carrycot together whilst they're still tiny. Not planning on leaving the house en masse anyway - that's if we leave the house at all, EVER . Then want a double that could use for DT's or maybe one baby & DD using carrier for other baby. Hopefully by the time weather nicer & am brave enough to face outside world, DD will be able to walk alongside. Liked the Nipper cos of the bar, imagine can push it one-handed & hold onto toddler too.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 14:44

Pity Phil and Teds side by side double can't take a doubles seat as well.....that would be an ideal solution for you.

lol at not planning on leaving the house.....I did my first solo shopping trip with all three DCs today, and it was a bit of a nightmare. I went to ALDI and the trolleys there only have one option of a toddler seat, so I had to balance DSs car seat (precariously) on top of the trolley. Can only imagine your future shopping hell! I think the internet is the way forward.

Have they given you a date for a section yet, or are you going to try for a natural delivery? tis possible with one breach; my SIL did it.

OP posts:
TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 14:46

loolas are quite desirable T, so you should get a good price for it second hand when you are ready to sell it.

holly, am intrigued at testing cot beds....how many did you have to test? can imagine that being a faff with all the building involved!

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 23/12/2008 15:03

Am trying for a natural delivery but if they don't appear of own accord soon looks like will be induced.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 23/12/2008 16:09

big spontaneous labour vibes coming your way.

oooh, did you see the SCD final? I'm so glad Tom won, after the voting debacle of the week before. Apparently the beeb should have forseen it as there was a 25% chance of it happening. Besides, his show dance with Camilla was fab; the others were just about silly positions and posturing where theirs had a story to it.

I would love to be able to dance like that, but the chances of getting DH to a ballroom dance class is slim to none.

Ah well, this isn;t getting organised for Christmas. We will be running around like headless chickens tomorrow night...again.

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 23/12/2008 16:24

Of course I watched the final - Strictly is the highlight of my life week! I was going for Rachel. Thought that although Tom's showdance was very entertaining, he should never have been in the final, & Rachel far better dancer overall. Oh well over for another year, don't know what I'll do next Sat - give birth perhaps? Still, some pals bought me tickets for the live show @ SECC in Feb for my birthday so the thought of that is keeping me going. [I'm just a saddo emoticon].
