I am going to crawl under the duvet and not come out till spring.......believe it or believe it not, I slipped on the stairs again this morning . On the top step this time, and ended up hanging on to the bannister with one foot four steps down one on the top and my knee twisted at a rather rakish angle and I've wrenched my arm as well. DH is worried that I have a death wish. I am just glad that I wasn't carrying one of the little ones as I wouldn't have been able to break the fall like I did. I'm terrified of the stairs now....things have a habit of coming in threes don't they?

Unfortunately no time to go to the docs, but I will on Monday if my aches and pains get any worse. I am going to upload a photo of my arse later.....it is purple and scary.

sorry about your heating butterfly and I hope it gets sorted soon and that you feel better soon.

Daisy you poor thing. Think I'll pass on the picture of your arse though

Bugger about the heating Butterfly. We have a gas tank too and I've had that happen to me.

Foxy that is quite cute of you and your DP

Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately, I have been cleaning my house when I should've been MNing . We're off on sunday and I really hate coming back to a dirty house.

I feel a bit bad for sponging, but I keep telling myself the money is there for people like us, who need a bit of help when things go tits up. It was bloody hard work getting the housing benefit though, we had to fill in so many forms and it took 6 weeks to go through! They also wouldn't let us get a crisis loan because we haven't been on benefits for long enough?!?! We were up shit creek because we had NO money coming in because our benefits haven't been processed, yet dp's exw got £1000 to buy Christmas presents because she has been on benefits for years! It just doesn't make any sense. Grrrr....!

That is odd that you can't get CT benefit butterfly. It is a shit system that favours those who don't want to work.

It was my birthday on Wednesday, I don't think I even got one pressie! I hate being old!

Hopefully I shall be online a bit more from now on. I am writing for a website, so will be doing that quite often and I sold some stuff on ebay and bought myself a £50 laptop, so dp won't be able chuck me off 'tinterweb any more!

Hiya Holly, you were missed you know

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 19/12/2008 13:28

Yay for Natty getting keys, Butterfly sorting something out, Foxy for finding her dress and having a lovely drunken evening.
Boo for Butterfly?s heating not working. Fingers crossed you get gas soon (in case yours are too frozen to cross them yourself!).Also boo for bullying little girls.
Am jealous of panto visit (oh yes I am). I love panto! Jealous of eggy bread too. But DH did make us all omelettes for lunch.
And Daisy! Do look after yourself. We don?t want to hear of any more falls!
And big hi to everyone else.
While I was typing that, jamlet has picked a scab off my face and I am now bleeding

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 19/12/2008 14:00

lol at your post jammy ....but obvuiously not the bleeding bit!

holly, which website? sounds intriguing! How did your debate go? I assume your side got a fair amount of criticism. It must have been challenging trying to counter it. and well done on being a bum! seriously, I hope DP gets something else soon.

. Now tell me how to go about maximising my financial gain from this endeavour....and oooh, we're going to be in the magazine as well

natty, I missed you out earlier.....woohoo on getting the keys is this the one with the teeny tiny orange bathroom? coloured suites are sooooo retor don't you know

My knight in a shining astra has arrived to whisk me off to A&E. Called docs and was advised to get my knee x-rayed.

later xx

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 19/12/2008 14:09

Hope you've stopped bleeding jammy!

I didn't go to my BFC tutorial as my NCT branch are having financial issues and can't pay my expenses. I cannot start going to them again for a couple of months until they have applied for a grant to fund my training. It is shit.

I am writing for this website. It isn't paid at the moment, I just get products to test, but in the future it could be. It is fun as well, finding bargains and sharing them, it is right up my street!

I bet you can't wait to find out what you are testing daisy! Let us know! Sometimes I've found they give you a list of them straight away and sometimes you have to wait until they are delivered, which is really exiting!!

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 19/12/2008 14:10

Oh dear daisy, hope you are ok and it is just a sprain.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 19/12/2008 14:22

Oh yes, hope you're OK Daisy

Ohforfoxsake · 19/12/2008 17:19

Hope all is well Daisy

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/12/2008 17:24

Ouch Daisy. Great about buggy trial though. Now you can let me know what to get for the DT's. We are still pramless and only a few weeks to go at most.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 19/12/2008 19:04

How did you get on Daisy? OK I hope? I am also still pramless so any advice will be great!

I've finished work today........although had a shit day to finish on....and DH has gone out with his old work colleagues, so I left work late, DD was last one at nursery , got home and had a whinging toddler to deal with, done bedtime on my own, and have just got downstairs to face 2 hungry animals, a car full of stuff from work to empty, a dishwasher to empty and a tumble dryer to empty and put away....oh, and to eat something....and I can't go out and get a take-away

My work colleagues however, gave me £80 of mothercare vouchers, a lovely card, a box of chocs (tonight's dinner) and a balloon ....isn't that lovely? Although the person doing the speech, did say I'd only just got back from my last lot of mat leave .

Ohforfoxsake · 19/12/2008 19:26

Tallulah, is DH back? (Oh, I hope so!)

Norty, that is shit. Don't you have dial up take away??!!!

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 19/12/2008 19:35

My 1st thought exactly when reading Norty's message: get your take away delivered! Our Chinese is about 2 mins walk away and I was very when I had to ring them one night for a delivery, but same as you I couldn't go out and leave DD in bed on her own. (OK almost certainly nothing bad would have happened, but what if....?) Delivery driver didn't seem to think anything of it though.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 19/12/2008 19:45

We are going here tomorrow afternoon, after seeing the dinosaurs in the morning and having lunch with friends
