does anyone know where my dress is? Its in a Primark bag, with some men's pyjama's. Bought it today. Can't find it anywhere and I want to wear it tonight.

Bollocks.

Ohforfoxsake · 18/12/2008 20:19

ha ha ha My Dp is such an arse!

We agreed he'd phone at 7 to give me an update on if he'd be home or if I should get a babysitter (am going for Xmas drinks at neighbours). He phoned on the dot, sounding sober. Full marks. Impressed.

The twat just phoned again.

Completely blew his cover as he is pissed and had no idea he'd called once already.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 18/12/2008 20:41

are you going OUT foxy? I'm so

T, I've emailed you and Butterfly sent you a FB message about the nappy focus group.

I think i've broken something on my insides. My already dodgy pelvic floor has been worse since I fell and I leak every time I stand up . Could it just be because I've upset things with my fall? should I bother the GP about it or hope it gets better by itself?

oops, I am a dozy cow....refresh screen before posting!

talking of dozy cowness....put DD in her car seat today to pop to the shops. When I tried to tighten the shoulder straps, the whole seat felt a bit loose. when I went to tighten the seat belt, the bloody thing wasn't fixed in at all; just sitting on the back seat. It had been like that since Monday (grandad had borrowed it and I now remember telling him to just chuck it in the back and I'd sort it later) and I drove around yesterday with her not strapped in at all [crosses self]

Oooh Daisy, that must have been a worry when you found out about the carseat. But no harm done (other than to your nerves now) and I bet you'll not do that again!

I have finished (paid) work for the year!!!!

Sputnik · 18/12/2008 21:42

Daisy, that fall sounds awful.
Butterfly, I would be really upset for my DD too in your situation, I would avoid this girl tbh and let the mother know why if she asked, maybe get her brothers over to yours to play so your DS doesn't miss out.

TALLULAHBELLE · 18/12/2008 22:32

Daisy - thanks got your e mail, have sent off my details so hopefully will hear back soon. Fall sounds bad. No harm in getting checked out at doc. Better safe than sorry.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 18/12/2008 23:20

for your DD butterfly. I don't know how I would react. Probably like foxy, sing-song style, though as you know I am fairly crap at doing and better at inwardly seething. My DH would be of the stick up for herself school of thought. I don't tell off other peoples children (barring Dsis's) if the parent is present. BUt if I had been the other parent I would have made my DD apologise to yours, the skipping off blameless would have been a big no-no. Would girl B play with your DD if you arranged it, cutting out girl A? I wouldn't encourage it, but maybe girl A needs a smack in the mouth from your DD (or another child she feels superior to) to put her in her place? I can identify with you feeling the need tomove away too. Children can be so nasty, and it's never the nasty ones that suffer

hope you aren't too shaken up daisy. I would risk a trip to the GP, your bits and pieces will still be recovering, it's worth checking out.

Hi everyone!

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 18/12/2008 23:32

we got the keys
oooh we are REALLY moving..

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 18/12/2008 23:34

talking of inwardly seething, I replied to my friend about xmas gifts and suggested none, and just presents for godchildren on their birthdays. She has not been back in touch to confirm this is OK, so now I have no idea what I'm doing.

But today I love MIL. We have got a Wii. Thanks to collective xmas money (most of mine and DHs too, as MIL gave us cash this year, and DM always says £x each, and I give suggestions for her to buy as I would rather have a gift, and the money would just disappear) from both sets of GPs, and a massive amount of luck in Argos that they had 1 display model left

Despite being really cross with DH as I got up this morning and had still to wrap the presents and do the cards, plus ran oout of glue to stick the photos to the calendar, and DH went back to bed, we managed to leave home only 1 hour late, and we have had a lovely is stressful (and very late home) day. Plus I got one of those rose tesco bags for Dsis that I can't get here and only have a couple of gifts to buy that I can get with the supermarket shop.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 18/12/2008 23:35

phew natty, really happy for you. I hope this is the house for you. good luck.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 18/12/2008 23:36

well done Butterfly.

great news Natty.

My dress was in the Christmas present box.

Just went to a neighbours house. Managed to drink a fair amount. Got home at midnight, just before DP, who was very drunk and we watched videos of our children. Until about 3 am.

We are very, very sad

Daisy, I htink you should get checked out today.

Morning girls

Butterfly, that's crap. Hope they come out quickly.

Foxy, hope you had a good night!

Ohforfoxsake · 19/12/2008 10:29

yeah, quite a few neighbours were there. Don't know if they were as drunk as me though

Hope you get it sorted today Butterfly. Is it really, really cold up there?

Off to Panto today. With a hang-over.

OH YES I AM!

Ohforfoxsake · 19/12/2008 10:30

I'm feeling a bit ropey too. Not hungover as such, but from 3 days of mild drinking and consequently not sleeping properly!

Very knackered and not going to get a break at all. I was baking all evening monday, work Christmas meal Tuesday, friends over weds and last night. Over to a mummy friends this arvo, Lcy coming down tomorrow, ILs Sunday, work Monday, Tuesday and then it's Christmas! Phew! I'm not complaining as such, I'm just not used to all this socialising. I like it, but I need a break to have some me time!

Hmm, I'm going to make some eggy bread I think.

I'm sorry Butterfly, did you say something?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 19/12/2008 11:22

mornin'

teensiest little bit fragile here too, drinking wine and eating (shared) chinese takeaway too late last night as part of our xmas shopping euphoria, but just post-euphoria low and knackered rather than massive hangover. Am very glad I'm not going to a panto. Enjoy foxy!

Arse about your heating butterf-ly, but glad you talked to girl Bs mum (at least other parents are aware, so there's no element of "is it just me"), hope your DD is happier today.

How are you daisy?

Don't know where to start today. Have finally caught up with all the itoning etc (though the dirty laundry baskets are exploding). Am thinkning maybe clean out the fridge ready for the big shop. But I just want to sleep.

will have to go up to school I suppose too, as DS2 made plant pots for his teachers, and I have my work cards to deliver.

Gah.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 19/12/2008 11:24

read IRONING.

ooh, post came - sounds interesting...

I had to phone DS1s school today too - he is being bullied again. by a little bitch girl this time. He was really sad this mrning. I did say he could stay home but he wanted to go for double english and science. He did NOT want to watch War of the Worlds (tom cruise) in French
