"Oh what fun they'll be 18months by the time this thread is finished?!"

Arcadie · 04/04/2009 22:06

Not as snappy I know

BouncingTurtle · 04/04/2009 22:06

Lol... life? Me? No chance!

BouncingTurtle · 04/04/2009 22:07

I came up with
"where babies walk the walk and talk the talk"

18 YO you mean, surely?

cazzybabs · 04/04/2009 22:19

BT evue climbs the stais and has got pretty good at it.....it was fine untill i was putting the nappies on to wash and she was upstairs and deicided to come down stairs with her jacket, tripped and came down head first. i am now a bit more careful

Arcadie · 04/04/2009 22:22

Cazzy One of those lovely moments when your adrenaline levels go through the roof.

Arcadie · 04/04/2009 22:22

DD fell off a climbing frame from about 4 foot up the other day. Took me a little while to stop shaking.

Arcadie · 04/04/2009 22:22

BT I like it. Just need to do another 40 posts or so and we'll be there.

Arcadie · 04/04/2009 22:23

Right, I'm going off to watch another re-run of "er". I expect to see a LOT more posts when I return.

Caz10 · 04/04/2009 22:27

I can contribute one!!

Hope everyone is well, and would just like to confirm I don't have a life either!

DD fell off the bed head first onto our wooden floor - we have a high divan bed too -she was ok but the way she went down I kept thinking for ages afterwards she could've broken her neck - still feel sick thinking about it

people people people that is not a lot more posts.... We'll just have to leave threadmaking til tomorrow I guess.

buzzybee · 05/04/2009 04:14

cazzy, DD1 managed to do something similar at least 6 times and each time I couldn't help but re-live the fall down the stairs / off the sofa with a different ending involving trip to hosp...

So far DD2 is a MUCH more careful child, has only fallen off bed once (fingers crossed). Hence I guess why DD1 walked 11 mths and DD2 15 mths!

DD1's birthday weekend of madness almost over. Just have to cook obligatory family roast for my parents tonight and we'll be done. I think she had a whale of a time but oh the noise level with 5 kids in the house for 20 hours (about 8 of which they were asleep to be fair, and 2 we were at the movies!) Took them to Aliens Vs Monsters which got a huge thumbs up from the kids and I'd say was about 7/10 from adult perpective.

BouncingTurtle · 05/04/2009 06:39

Buzzy - glad your dd has had a good birthday weekend!

Not long to go now...

My lap top started running very slow then hung completely, so I gave up and went to bed!
