Can someone please add "our babies" as my machine will probably blow up if I try it

scorpio1 · 02/12/2008 19:40

and thought i could just ask for xyz by name (gp very good)

EllieG · 02/12/2008 19:46

Can't help you really, though I used to have a doc who would hand out temazepam like sweeties, and they were great....only trouble was my flatmate kept trying to steal them and then the doc got struck off and my next one wouldn't give me any cos he said some nonsense about them being addictive. Bah. Spoilt all my fun.

scorpio1 · 02/12/2008 19:51

lol

I really don't want to go but it is starting to hurt.

EllieG · 02/12/2008 19:54

Right then. Stiff upper lip young lady. You know what you have to do (and other encouraging yet braving sentiments).

EllieG · 02/12/2008 19:57

Bracing, not braving. D'oh!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/12/2008 20:05

Hi Denny Hope DD2 feeling better.

Scorpio, thanks for the kind words.

Lol @ Ellie's ex-doc

I've got temazepam for you, Scorpio - can post you one or 2 if you have no luck (unless I'm going to turn dear Scorpio into a junkie...) Hmm, maybe ask doc first! It's quite strong, so my guess is it's a no-no with bf-ing anyway! Dr gave it to me to drink if I can't sleep (stupid brain of mine - nothing works like it should!!!), but I hate it with a passion as it turns me into a zombie for 2 days and now I keep it for long flights instead All my sympathies though, I'm scared of dentists too. As in seriously, sometimes I feel like jumping up halfway through and running away. Just in case you all think I'm a whimp now, I don't have a problem with snakes, can hold them and everthing. (Would rather not talk of my spider phobia ) Would Rescue Remedy be of any help?

SalLikesCoffee · 02/12/2008 20:07

Oh btw Ellie, I love your Christmas name from last year, I vote for reusing it.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 02/12/2008 21:49
SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 02/12/2008 22:04

NOW you tell me, I've been thinking all night of a Christmas name and have settled on this rubbish one, but it's as good as I can get! You better be around next Christmas, I'm booking your services.

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 02/12/2008 22:06

And in the process I've messed up my profile (and have learn that MN restrict you to 30 characters, which made my absolutely wonderful SalLikesIrishCoffeeUnderTheMistletoe impossible. I was sad. Which is sad I know...)

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 02/12/2008 22:13

ah scorpio my boys all well. even if they were not they'd still go to school, annoying so and so's (truth: they are extremely rarely ill but when they are we love snuggling under a duvet together LOL)

Please do't mention snakes, I have been known to pass out at a childs scribble of one LOL

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 02/12/2008 22:21

Hehehe, Peachy. Well, if it makes you feel any better, I had a (baby, minute really) spider crawl over my leg once and I actually (only for a split second, honestly) considered dropping R to get away!!! I've got goosebumps just thinking about it...

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 02/12/2008 22:24

Ok well, I'm off - will try to get some sleep for tomorrow. Good night, all.

ThePFJ · 03/12/2008 00:55

Well there it is.

The biggest blow up of all time.

We went out for thr first time in ages tonight. Got a babysitter and everything. All happy until we get into bed. I happily ask him 'Did you have a good time tonight?' and its all about how embarrassing he finds me and it all boils down to how I love him more than he loves me. Well whats the fucking point?

ThePFJ · 03/12/2008 09:01

Got a big apology this morning. Hopefully followed by some sort of massive box of chocolates and a bouquet bigger than Italy if he has any sense.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 03/12/2008 09:09

Oh PFJ, how horrible. Do you think he meant it or was letting off steam? An apology is all well and good but you're not going to be able to just forget it happened are you?

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 03/12/2008 11:07

That sucks, especially for a first night out in ages! Any chance whatsoever for the two of you to speak to someone professional about it, or do you think that'll make it worse?

ThePFJ · 03/12/2008 12:55

I know he has some insecurity issues, and worries too much about what other people are thinking. The two friends we went out with for the meal said they had a great time and found me quite fun and humerous.... and I know that I was far from embarrassing. If I wanted to be embarrassing I would have drunk double vodkas all night and thrown up in Alison's handbag after dancing the cancan on the bar!

I really think me and DP need to get out more and 'loosen up' a bit. If he doesnt improve with a few more tries then maybe getting him to talk to someone might be a good idea.

Good news though, I finished the Christmas shopping this morning on Amazon. I really hate going shopping with a big list of people to get for in the highstreet. I get stressed out with all the people and I dont think going into twon with baby in tow would have helped!

I hope things with me and DP get better. We really do love eachother and neither of us want to spend our lives with anyone else. I think the change from us both being at home all day to look after baby Jack to him suddenly working all day until late has hit us hard.

It's so nice to be able to come onto mumsnet and talk about my problems without having to air them with my friends and family. It gives me a chance to 'vent'
Thanks gals. xxx

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 03/12/2008 13:31

Sometimes just being able to vent a bit helps as well, so go ahead as much as you like. I do all the time and I don't even have a proper reason to. I think we're lucky to have such nice people on here anyway - always easy to chat.

Your dp does sound a bit angry (I think just angry in itself, not necessarily at you, although it directs itself to you as you're around, I guess) - hopefully it's just the stress you mentioned and that it'll sort itself out after a while.

I'm impressed with you having finished your christmas shopping! I don't think anyone's getting anything from me this year, as I just can't be fussed to do any shopping at the moment...

Ladies, please keep your fingers crossed for me, I'll be leaving for that interview in half an hour. I've (just about) squeezed into my old work suit, and although it doesn't look as good as it should (damn, knew a whole month of eating anything in sight will come back to haunt me), I think it looks at least half presentable. I hope.

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 03/12/2008 13:32

Btw, MommyHasaHeadache, where have you gone?

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 03/12/2008 13:46

Glad you talked things through PFH.
Sal, Good Luck, and MHaH has been around on MN, just not here from what I've seen.

I've spoken to her recently and think she's just stopping away for a bit, but she was ok when I spoke to her.

ThePFJ · 03/12/2008 13:48

Good luck Sal!!!!

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 03/12/2008 13:48

Thanks, VS. I'm missing her here!

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 03/12/2008 13:49

Thanks PFJ too! I'm too slow for MN now, I keep forgetting to refresh!
