I only know cos ds gets on our bathroom scales nearly everytime he goes in the bathroom

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/01/2009 21:10

Yes, I only know because dd gets on our scales too.

EPPM - yes of course he knows that ds won't be put down, but he always comes up with some sort of stupid reply when I ask him to do something. That is largely why we don't get on when we have small children.

Hope Lew is ok Phoenix. Dd, ds and I all have colds at the moment, but nothing croupy thankfully.

Frizbe · 16/01/2009 22:17

Grrr at dh for you CSWS Men can be soooo insensitive sometimes Huge sympathies with the poo, I think EPPM is right, its her way of reacting to new baby and gaining attention I don't know about the rest of you, but dd1 (now 5) still asks me to check her bum when she's pooed as she's still not so good at cleaning it (ss had it sussed by 5)

Phoenix, hope ds sleeps ok for you tonight. at the picasso, you have same as Meridian except her's is silver! Ours is Misty Lilac! but its an old one (Y reg)

EPPM fingers x'd you get a car you can drive, or you'll be like my mum used to be, sat on 2 cushions

MRM for the tummy not knitting thing, that's not good. Sorry to hear about the flesh bother as well, I'm not sure that the Dr was totally right about you defo needing surgery to fix it though, I reckon with the right excercises over time it should all go back? Sorry, but I'm convinced that sometimes surgery is not the answer to everything? As a thought my friend is currently doing one of the British Military Fitness courses, that are run by ex army bods, all over the place, she says its fab and they really put her through the wringer 3 x a week and she's lost and toned no end, might be worth investigating if there's one near you?

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/01/2009 10:11

An 8 hour sleep from ds last night.

Dh doing the car this morning.
But he's still a selfish knob.

VampiresWalkin · 17/01/2009 13:37

Grrrrrrrrrrr @ MrCSWS

for 8 hour sleep

Car is officially dead

Well, garage phoned to say there is extensive damage that will cost over 100% of the car value - can't see the insurers wantin to do that

Phoenix · 17/01/2009 13:40

Do you get a new car then?

OP posts:
Phoenix · 17/01/2009 13:43

While MrCsws is doing one job i'd find him some more to do

Ds slept but i didn't much because i was listening to his croupy, wheezy breathing all night. He's still fine in himself

OP posts:
VampiresWalkin · 17/01/2009 13:46

I get money We need a new car anyway, but if it hadn't been written off no-one would have wanted to buy the thing, this way we get rid of it AND get money

Phoenix · 17/01/2009 13:48

That's good then, maybe not worth the whiplash pain though

OP posts:
VampiresWalkin · 17/01/2009 13:49

VampiresWalkin · 17/01/2009 15:14

I kept thanking the woman on the phone who sounded like she was giving me face.

So I explained about it being demonic and possessed.

Which clearly stopped the

EachPeachPearMum · 17/01/2009 15:31

Wow- 8 hours? fantastic!
And great news Flame are you getting a picasso then?

We all have stinking colds- I woke DH with my snoring at 5, and he couldn't get back to sleep

Phoenix · 17/01/2009 19:18

I have my picasso

Just remember if i ever talk about getting a new car again please talk me out of it, i love it

8 hours is fantastic csws

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 17/01/2009 19:37

Phoenix- what do you mean? You mean a brand new car, or you mean a car other than a Picasso?

Phoenix · 17/01/2009 19:46

Any car for a long time. We only got rid of a Picasso a year ago and really regretted it so we're keeping this one for the forseeable future

OP posts:
Jas · 17/01/2009 19:56

8 hours. I hope you get a repeat tonight.

[great car news Flame and Phoenix, too

EPPM - Our car is a Jaguar, so veyr expensive parts, so I'm hoping for the same result as Flame No one would buy it...it is a beaten up old heap, so lots of problems woould be solved.

Frizbe · 18/01/2009 16:49

Jas you getting a picasso too then

Flame, congrats on the car write off

CSWS and congrats on the 8 hr sleep, boo for dh though, hope he's improved during the day for you.

I'm listing size 7 ballet shoes on ebay tonight if anyone is interested? shout before hand if you are, save me the ebay fees! Will check back about 9pm before I list. Off to take ss home in a mo....really wish we lived nearer sometimes!

Jas · 18/01/2009 19:21

I wish....we would just insure the other car and get that back on the road, I guess.

No ballet here DD2 gave up after about 3 years.

EachPeachPearMum · 18/01/2009 20:10

Jas- I know someone else with an old jag, and he says the fuel consumption is unbelievable
Friz- dd just went into size 7 last week.... but I don't think this is really the time to start ballet for us! sorry.

CSWS- how long did he sleep last night?

Phoenix · 18/01/2009 20:22

No ballet here .

Does anyone know what they are getting the dc's for their birthday?

I only realised today that ds' is only 3wks away and i haven't got a clue. Just been having a look online at bikes but dh says no cos he hardly goes on the trike he got last yr. So i thought maybe a tri-scooter.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 18/01/2009 20:26

Not a clue here, tho several people have said peppa pig for the ds lite is good and as dd2 keeps nicking her sisters Dora game when we're in the car, I'm thinking it might be a good idea! She'll get dd1's bike, so not that, she's got a hand down scooter...might get her a camera, as she had her eye on a V-Tech one at Xmas, in fact I will, Camera it is

VampiresWalkin · 18/01/2009 20:32

Buzz. Possibly bullseye too if I can find one

Phoenix · 18/01/2009 20:34

That's you sorted then Friz

Ds likes cameras actually i might have a look at them.

I just found this balance bike on Halfords website. Cheapest one i've seen so might be an option but need to convince dh he thinks balance bikes are pointless. Does dd use hers csws?
