I can store up hits

Jas · 15/01/2009 18:04

I still can't do it without registering Flame

VampiresWalkin · 15/01/2009 18:35

I know, was just coming on to post that - they told me they had fixed it Apparently some glitch with site software means no non-members can vote. Who wants to go through joining a site to vote for summat???

Jas · 15/01/2009 19:20

As it is for you, I will

Jas · 15/01/2009 19:24

I STILL HAVE TO WAIT TO BE APPROVED BEFORE I CAN VOTE.(Sorry)

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/01/2009 20:47

I want to know what 'THE pics' are...

Phoenix · 15/01/2009 21:03

So you know i said the other day that getting rid of our Citroen Picasso was the stupidest thing we ever did? Well we've got a new one today . Since we found out i was pg we've been toying with the idea of a bigger car then talking ourselves out of it. Dh went to get some figures today and ended up signing for one, for the price of dh's little Peugeot 107 and £400 cash. We pick it up Saturday

Mrm - You are so hard on yourself. You look lovely

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 10:11

It will be like a car showroom on csws's drive- all our picassos lined up
What colour/engine size did you get phoenix?
Is diesel expensive? I was thinking 1.6l diesel this time....

Phoenix · 16/01/2009 11:09

EPPM - Dh rang me and was telling me all what it had, engine size etc. I said to him 'whoa, whoa, whoa before you carry on with all that what colour is it? That's all i'm bothered about' It's Sahara Gold (beige really, the same colour one we had before) and is a Citroen Picasso 2.0 HDi Desire. It's a 54 reg plate.

Diesel costs more than petrol , although you do get more mpg from it.

VampiresWalkin · 16/01/2009 13:44

looked on mse the other night, diesel costs more per gallon (or litre ), but works out better in a mpg state. But diesel normally costs more to buy, so it works out about the same long term - what you saved on buying a petrol car you lose on mpg and vice versa.

Pretty much just go with what you fancy

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/01/2009 16:52

still vaguely on the subject of cars, dd moved up to next stage car seat today - so grown up!

VampiresWalkin · 16/01/2009 19:41

Awww DS is staying in his for as long as humanly possible. Mate is talking about getting him a t-shirt with a pic of Steve McQueen on

I am a foster auntie!!!

Phoenix · 16/01/2009 20:01

The next stage as in using with a seat belt csws?

OP posts:
Jas · 16/01/2009 20:09

DS' seat can be used with just a seat belt, and if dp takes him out in his van, he does that (I reckoned it was safer than using the harness so loose that it offered no protection at all.
I use the harness and will until he is too big....he can not be relied on to stay in it in the back of the car.

Phoenix · 16/01/2009 20:29

Ds' can be used with a harness and it can be removed and used with a seat belt. He weighs over 15kg now so i've been using with a seatbelt since just after christmas.

Grrrr fucking dh. I asked him to do a 10 min job tomorrow that I'd asked him to do last weekend too (clean out the crap from inside the car), and his response was to say that I could have done it this afternoon. He knows perfectly well that ds was asleep on my lap this afternoon, and that it took me ages to get him back to sleep each time he woke and cried (because he was still tired). He also knows full well that ds wakes up every time either of us puts him down during the day. His response to me reminding him that ds was asleep on me was 'well you just need to put him down'. Fucking knob.

Yes Phoenix, one with a seat belt. Max weight for her previous one is 18kg I think, and I think that she's over 17 already.

Jas · 16/01/2009 20:32

Sorry csws, but I did smile at all the swearing. I hope you feel better for getting that off your chest! (And Mr csws gets his act together and just does the job tomorrow)

Phoenix · 16/01/2009 20:32

My parents have just brought Lew back home, he was meant to be sleeping at their house but he's a bit croupy so she thought he'd be better at home. He's fine in himself but we were thinking more if he wakes up in the night upset and wanting mummy.

OP posts:
Jas · 16/01/2009 20:33

Ok, not really that much swearing, But there was more just under the surface when I read it!

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 20:45

Eek- DD only weighs about 11 or 12 kilos I think.
I have to buy a new car seat this weekend- to replace the crash one. Don't think I'll be able to go up to the next size. Well- at least DS will be able to use it (I will not be getting a flowery on ethis time )
They are collecting my car tuesday, and dropping off courtesy car- the guy asked if I was okay with a 'slightly' bigger car... then said it might be a passat -thats about twice the size of my car I think! Goodness knows how I'm going to park it- I can barely see out of my car over my bump- but I know the dimensions of my car perfectly, so don't need to see IYSWIM. Am more than a little nervous now.

CSWS- surely he's noticed by now that DS won't be put down?

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2009 20:46

Oh and btw- for some reason (hormones???) I really want a RED picasso! but all the ones I've seen are silver or grey

Jas · 16/01/2009 20:48

I have no idea what ds weighs.
