COngratulations Phoenix!!!!!
It was the appointment coming through, I'm sure

EachPeachPearMum · 17/11/2008 13:20

heheh- meh!

Frizbe · 17/11/2008 20:34

congratulations Phoenix guess if CSWS does have a knees up after Xmas, then you'll be staying very sober and laughing at the rest of us

CSWS sorry to hear about dh's job...sure he'll pick something up relatively quickly though by the sound of things. What do you think of you going back though and him staying at home? tempted?

EPPM small party at home for dd then me thinks! We did dd1 a play centre party at 3 that she had to postpone if anyone recalls, as she went down with pox! but when they finally got around to it, she still mainly played with one other friend and that was it, reckon pass the parcel at home would have been much better.

Flame your posts have been making me ya looney.

MRM how's the weight loss going then, mine has gone completely to pot, but I did make dance class and pilates last week and am aiming to go tomorrow too, LL on the march thread has just motivated me, by getting back to a size 8 jammy woman!

Hello everyone else and waves.
Not much happening her, work, and more work, have successfully lost our 1st full time member of staff, he's gone back to college, seems work is too hard for him, poor wee mite so recruiting again....I mean its retail, not down a pit or anything!) my lovely part time people are bailing us out in the meantime Still no internet at home.....dear Santa!

Flamesparrow · 17/11/2008 20:44

To answer EPPM - yes, I was feeling better, then I "helped" my mate boost her new circuit class numbers.

I have told MRM to change her name to WorkOutWoman and we can call her WOW. Help bully her into it

Friz - is it really that hard finding a geek hard worker for a comic shop??? anyone I have spoken to about you/it says they would have loved a job (if younger/not supporting family etc)

Frizbe · 17/11/2008 20:50

Flame, sadly we appear to be attracting mainly geeks for the full time job so far....part time staffing not a problem, have two great people I'm sure we'll get the right person again soon, our local council are about to announce a glut of redundencies, so there won't be a shortage of people out there..... to be honest we might leave it until after Xmas now though, as time to train could be a problem!

Go on MRM, change that name Talking of WOW btw, is your dh playing the new version?

Flamesparrow · 17/11/2008 20:56

He is indeed, and I am now part of an MN guild

EachPeachPearMum · 17/11/2008 21:05

WOW is a great name!
Will not bully though

Flamesparrow · 17/11/2008 21:14

How 'bout gentle nudging?

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/11/2008 21:25

Mrm - just fucking change and stop seeking attention.

Phoenix · 17/11/2008 21:26

Thanks for the congrats ladies. I'm so happy but also so paranoid it will all go wrong I need to relax I am knackered though just like i was at the beginning of my pg with Lew.

Go with the name mrm, WOW is so much better than mrm

Back from nursery parents'/parent's/parents evening. I have never had a glowing report before DD's are all things to work on etc, my worries.... his was soooooooo good All proud

Jas · 18/11/2008 19:30

Phoenix · 18/11/2008 19:46

Had a phone call from the pre school i 1st put ds' name down for saying that they have some morning places available from 5th Jan. We'll have to pay for it til April but i don't know wether to accept or not. What do you think?

The pre school is about 5-10 min drive away and the nursery i put his name down for the other week is only about a 2-5min drive (could walk if i feel energetic) and would be free when he'd start in April but he isn't guarenteed a place there but he has a place now at the other. It's a good/popular pre school so would i be mad to turn it down?

Decisions, decisions....

for ds' glowing report.

OP posts:
Jas · 18/11/2008 19:52

I would accept the place, as you can always pull him out if you/he doesn't like it. You may also find changing after one term isn't a problem if you want to do that in April.....the dds chopped and changed and settled really quickly, but I don't know how confident your ds is.

Also how did you feel mid pregnancy last time? Will you need the rest a bit more?

Phoenix · 18/11/2008 20:05

I'll never say no to more rest

I said to dh about pulling him out in April if he got a place nearer but he didn't seem keen but we can see how it goes. It's only 2 mornings a week to start with anyway.

for Flame's DS

Phoenix- we're in a similar position with DD's choices for next year...
I would say accept the place at pre-school so that he gets used to going somewhere everyday, and you can change at a later date.

Plus, as Jas says... you'll need the relief then!

DH and I are a bit worried- we received a letter today from DD's current nursery calling all parents of children in her room to an emergency meeting tomorrow evening at 6pm Am panicking a little about what this might mean...
Can't really be a serious incident- all staff were present, and if anything had happened, someone would have been sent home. Which leaves closure Kind of scary really- why close this age-group when the ratios are higher for babies... if you're struggling financially, surely you want to maximise children to staff so you get most income....

or maybe that's why they're struggling because they don't realise this?
erk- too many crazy thoughts about this really. Thank goodness I finish in 3 weeks.... though the last thing I wanted was to upset DD's routine just as DS arrives- I want her to have some stability

mustrunmore · 19/11/2008 14:02

OMG, I dont check the thread for a day or so and you go and get pg!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

At the risk of attention seeking , I like the idea of having a cool abbreviation, but I'm def not a woman, and def not only a workout one. So you're on the right lines ladies, but not quite there! Kep thinknig for me. Well done Flame for reading my slightly pissed typing btw

Have done one class and a c.25min run this morn (we forgot to time it!), just gotta get through class tonight, then its a day off tomorrow. Not by choice I might add, but by lack of babysitter!
Weight loss going so so Friz. Lost 3lbs last week, but have been a bit slack this week so not sure. Think I'll be disappointed when I weigh myself tomorrow. I would love to work for you, I keep telling you. You just need to relocate, and not want me to work during training hours.
