Yes- its the space that attracted me- we need room for 2 car seats and an adult in the back (I'm assuming you have 2 seats and a booster maybe? Is DSS v big?)

Flamespar · 06/01/2009 21:57

We want a picasso. No idea what with, but never mind...

Frizbe · 06/01/2009 22:00

We have dd2's baby seat and dd1's booster, dss has grown out of his booster, he's a tall boy but we used to have it in the middle and we still have the odd child on the extra one with mates getting lifts etc. I was in the back of my mates one this am and I love the space even next to two booster seats your not at all cramped as an adult plus I like the underfloor storage too, you can hide all sorts in there. My only complaint is that there are no decent cup holders in mine at any rate oh and dh doesn't like the pointy bit on the drivers door, where he keeps nearly taking his eye out, but I don't have a problem with that, as I look where I'm going (touch wood at any rate) You can also get a buggy along the back seating row, and a travel cot on top of it and still get the kids in, which = more room in boot for assorted other suitcases etc.

Frizbe · 06/01/2009 22:02

am going to spend some time with dh now, but will be back on tomorrow, so nite all I love my new laptop its so nice having virtual friends again

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/01/2009 22:05

Just popping in to say hello before bed.

Hope next day at school produces less tears.

EachPeachPearMum · 06/01/2009 22:05

please tell me about the pointy bit on the drivers door (tomorrow!) presumably won't affect me in anyway as I am only 5'0"

Flamespar · 06/01/2009 22:35

Soooooooooo intrigued about the pointy bit

You coming this way at all this year Friz?

Jas · 06/01/2009 23:30

Are you not coming to the meet, Frizbe?
Or can't you wait that long for juice?

I'll find a box and check postage cost on Thursday when I am in town.

Jas · 06/01/2009 23:32

Sorry. Not really ignoring everything else, just tired and need to go to bed.

My friend has a Picasso. Spent ages deciding when pg with ds3, and is now pg with no 4 and it will be no use

(Same friend with wandering dh, who is back home and trying to patch things up.)

meridian · 07/01/2009 08:47

hello.. just popping in to say hello... and thanks for the comiseration for our briefcase woes.... DH has jsut ordered new harddrives, pendrives, and a lightsabre torch for DS... still quite upset about it but at least no one was hurt.. we think the key lock button is going and though the lights flashed and the car clicked that it was locked it might not have been. There is no damage to the car.. . and they didn't try to break into the actual car bit.. where they would have found a case with loads of cds in.. the tomtom and DH's bluetooth gizmo... it will be a tight month though as the cash stolen was my "wages" aka house kitty, that gets used for trips out, crafty things, clothing, gifts etc....

the thing that upset me most was that DS' lightsabre torch was in there and a bunch of notes and doodles that I have sent to DH over the past ten years...little keepsakes that will be in the trash now..

frizbe- sorry about DD2' toenail things.. the thought makes me shiver as I rember when I lost a fingernail once.. it was agony and turned my stomach.. how did I loose it? er.. smashing a rock with another rock to get some quartz crystals out.. hazzards of being a rockhound as a kid... hope she gets over it..

hope all is well with everyone otherwise.. happy christmases and good new years eves.

Phoenix · 07/01/2009 09:27

Getting rid of our Picasso is the biggest stupidest decision we ever made . It was right at the time cos we wanted cheaper tax but now we're expecting dc2 we may struggle with 2 little cars, especially as we're going to Cornwall in September when the baby will be about 2mth old . We've got a roof box so that will make it a bit easier.

I pull my toe nails down the side til they bleed .

Flamespar · 07/01/2009 10:55

they frown on putting babies in roof boxes ya know?

EachPeachPearMum · 07/01/2009 11:42

It's snowing here btw- huge thick flakes- absolutely beautiful!

Hi Meridian- it's so horrible though- when it is irreplaceable things like photos or letters that get taken they have utterly no value to anyone else, but they don't get returned.

Frizbe · 07/01/2009 13:52

OUCH Phoenix dunno about Baby in top box, possibly dh though

I suppose I can wait till the meet Jaz, its just that I'm all excited I wanna play with it! Did we decided on a meet date folkes?

CSWS hope you got lovely sleep?

EPPM the pointy bit is on the top of the drivers door, and dh for some reason keeps nearly hitting himself in the face with it? its just the shape of the car, although I can see that they could have rounded the door off, they haven't???

I took dd2 to sainsbos in her PJ's this am, how slack is that but she didn't want to get dressed, and we needed milk on the way back from school run

Frizbe · 07/01/2009 13:54

EPPM has your snow settled? ours hasn't although it did only snow for about 10 mins!

Flame no plans to come your way at the moment but I'll see you at the meet up

Sorry for broken posts, am looking after work, whilst dh taken dd2 swimming!

EachPeachPearMum · 07/01/2009 14:02

No- snow has stopped, and is drizzling now.... but at least all the ice from the pavements should melt, thank goodness.
I just sluiced the front steps and put salt on them, as they are so slippy and dangerous.

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2009 16:11

flame wanted half term for meet up didn't she? If she has the same dates as me then that's either 14th or 21st Feb. Do either of those suit everyone?

We still have snow on the ground from Sunday night.

'Lovely sleep' is a thing of the past Friz, but at least dd didn't appear in the middle of the night as she stayed at in-laws yest. Should be back any moment now.

Trying to decide what colour to paint our breakfast room. Started off wanting green, but now might be having pink! Satin Bow for anyone with a dulux chart. Just don't know if I want pink, even though it looks right!

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2009 16:15

Satin Bow.

Flamespar · 07/01/2009 16:16

Hmmm, I don't like it (cos it really affects me enough for a sad face )

14th is good for me - how 'bout everyone else?

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2009 18:03

That's cause it's a 'feminine grown up pink', and you're not a grown up .

Jas · 07/01/2009 19:29

I don't like pink, so no point asking my opinion.

14th ok.

Flamespar · 07/01/2009 19:48

Ah yes. That would be it.

Phoenix · 07/01/2009 19:50

I like it

14th is Valentines day you all know? We don't bother with it so it's fine with me. And i'm not at work that day either

OP posts:
Flamespar · 07/01/2009 19:51

I'd forgotten that! Boy won't care

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2009 19:53

lol - hadn't even occurred to me!
