Its short.

Frizbe · 04/01/2009 10:49

Don't get pilates? is that because it doesn't seem like your doing loads of active excercise? when you surely are! your just doing it slightly slower and more controlled?
I'm going to try yogalates this week as well, as have told dh I'm taking time off work to do classes, or I'm never going to get fit! I read the juicing thread last night and am now debating trying that

EPPM I like Milo as a name was shocked to see dd1's name at the top of the Times girls list, although she is the scottish spelling....I agree boys are much harder to name, thankfully mine we're both girls, as we were arguing over Finn as I recall dh desperately wanted that and I surely didn't!

Phoenix, I guess best to stay out of it eh

Hope you doing ok CSWS you seem very quiet for you?

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/01/2009 11:31

I never have 2 hands to type friz - rarely even 1, and go to bed around 10, so difficult to chat as much as usual. My presence will improve in line with ds' sleep!

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 12:58

Well, I lost 3lbs doing half-jiucing for a wek, but felt a whole heap better. I'm now doing 1 juice 2 meals a day. TRouble is, once I have a day off exercise I start eatig shityaigan cos have no self control. But im stil smug bout losing 5lbs over xmas

Thepilates is cos I have no core stability whatsoever. I think thats half the reason I cant do any ab stuff to any efect, never have beenable to.

Flamespar · 04/01/2009 13:08

Wow that's an impressive bump!

Liking the names

Argh for everything going on in your "village" Phoenix!

I have said the same as that Macca - see MRM . Understand the reason for all the classes though.

I have been doing yoga with the DS for the last 5 days - not much each day, but something and I am already seeing suppleness results.

Car has a flat tyre - happened as I was pulling onto dual carriage way, and me never having experienced one before, and the car having been very unwell for a while assumed it was horrible enginey things. Dunno if I have wrecked the wheel by not stopping until I got home. AND it turns out our spare is bald - wtf is the point in that?!?! I bought tyres not long ago. Yes, I could have checked the spare myself, but sometimes I don't want to be in charge of all car related things.

So we are now stuck with a flat, a possibly wrecked wheel... and I don't really know what to do now (neither does DH).

Flamespar · 04/01/2009 13:10

Oh and MRM, dude still looks like a baby

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 13:16

Flame, you understand its not just for me right?

Flamespar · 04/01/2009 13:23

Yes, that's what I meant about understanding the reason

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 13:28

good. at least you know im not a loony with no common sense. Although i still maintain it has great benefits for me too

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 13:29

New glasses time approaching. Ideas please?

Frizbe · 04/01/2009 16:15

I have no idea re specs MRM lots of people I know wear them though and they all have nice trendy glasses at the moment (you have reminded me that dh needs to go get his eyes checked tho, another thing he's avoiding ) Pilates will locate and strenghten your core, therefore you need to give it time, go on try it, that or yoga, which I like lots too. Ah so the juice thing does work then, mmm, looked at a juicer in the local coop for £17 earlier today, might be worth an investment.....will look into different models.

Flame {{{Hugs}}} re the car, you did better than me, remember when our wheel last went and I called dh, whilst I said bf dd2 in the car in the middle of nowhere, whilst I was sobbing about the sodding wheel no attempts to change it here, not very womanly of me (hormonal wreck defence)
I'd suggest that you find a local garage to limp it to tomorrow (on the bald spare) and play the girlie card

CSWS oh that's no fun...you need a voice activated keyboard!

Awww just checked metcheck and its not going to snow tomorrow after all, sob sleet tonight tho.....prob for the best as I have to walk dd1 to school and 2 to nursery, before moaning like hell at the garage! and hopefully getting our car towed in and sorted out

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 16:21

I wouldnt go for a cheap juicer, and this is me talking!! Its a pita to have to chop before you bung it in, and the blade will wear out so quickly. Go for one that will take whole fruit.

Frizbe · 04/01/2009 16:54

thanks for the advice MRM I shall search!

Jas · 04/01/2009 17:56

Frizbe - If you are coming to the meet and can wait til then (or want to pay postage) you can have one of these

I was given it, and will never use it.

Flamespar · 04/01/2009 18:18

Back in a bit, but Jas - i got the cards on Friday, haven't had time to sort them yet though

Phoenix · 04/01/2009 18:48

Have any of you used that Gelli Baff stuff that turns the bath water to jelly then back again? I got some for ds and just used it. It feels so weird and ds hated it, he wouldn't move, just sat there frozen with a disgusted look on his face

Jas · 04/01/2009 19:33

Thanks for letting me know Flame. I was going to ask tomorrow, as I sent my bookclub book at the same time and don't know if that has got there yet, either.

Gelli Baff NO

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/01/2009 19:56

If Friz doesn't want the juicer Jas then I'll gladly take it off your hands. It's one thing that I actually don't have, and wonder if dd might be more accepting of fruit this way.

Gelli baff received for Christmas, but not used yet.

Hope that all cars get sorted tomorrow, and good luck with scan tomorrow Phoenix.

Phoenix · 05/01/2009 09:15

Did you get snow Friz? We did , nearly all gone now though but at 5/6am there was a lot.

OP posts:
Jas · 05/01/2009 13:12

Almost all gone now though.

Phoenix · 05/01/2009 17:02

Flamespar · 05/01/2009 17:52

yay for good scan

for snow

MRM - can't find my phone, but they fit beautifully, thank you oodles.

Argh, overcooking pasta - I'll never catch up now!

EachPeachPearMum · 05/01/2009 19:10

We had snow again this morning- haven't been out though. First thing this morning, DD vomited flaming DB bringing plague to this house- we have all been v poorly today.

I am astonished that she managed to tell me, and get to the bathroom before being sick- in the toilet thank goodness.... as she has never been sick before. Is it a reflex that is innate in us maybe?

Am off to bed- feel rotten.

Frizbe · 05/01/2009 20:35

{{{{Hugs}}}} EPPM that's not what you need at all well done to dd for making it to the bathroom tho.

Phoenix lovely scan photo

Jas I'd love the juicer! can pay you for it though and via paypal if you like (assume you have acct?), I don't want to rip you off and take it free, it wouldn't be right (if you've not already given it CSWS that is?)

We had snow this am too the dd's we're very happy to see it, although they both slept badly last night, dd1 up at 1.30 and 2.30, dd2 up at 4am sent back to bed.....neither wanted to get up at 7.30 for school...obviously when it said snow, they shifted!
Car is in garage, but no news so far? hoping that's not bad news.....
I was good girl and went to gym today and walked to dd2's nursery tonight to get her and back again (is a bit of a trek) Meridian took dd1 to Ikea tonight with her ds, and has just called to say it looks like the car was broken into whilst they were there and that her dh's briefcase with money and harddrives in in was taken
