Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:56

Yup, the micro bit.

I couldn't believe how cold our place was when we got back from Wales.

How do you produce boob addict children Tabs? How old is the little guy now? (not broody at all... noooooo, not me....)

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/12/2008 22:14

Actually I was saying to dh earlier this evening that ds doesn't really feed to sleep like dd used to (except during night), so at least that's one habit we won't need to try and break. Going to try and make it to bed without waking him now - wish me luck, as dh tried and failed twice earlier!

Does babydragon still bf Soupy?

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 22:18

Oooh that's good. We still struggle to get DS to stay in his own bed Stopped feeding at 12 months, but he still wants the closeness. Have stopped the playing with my "popples" though!

Jas · 28/12/2008 22:20

I'd rather the feeding to sleep than "go away mummy. Go in the kitchen" if I want a kiss.

I'm very lucky I have dd2 for cuddles really. The other two don't want to know!

EachPeachPearMum · 28/12/2008 22:22

Aww Jas- DD has started saying 'A shark stole my kiss mama!' if I ask for one .... then says 'you can have a hug instead until I get it back'.

Frizbe · 28/12/2008 22:29

Thanks for the link to the ds techy things soupey, my sil was on about those, might be getting one or two

at MR CSWS being offended on your behalf CSWS, I really thought you and Soupey and poss Flame too would be part of the 'in' crowd!

So dh has been asleep on the sofa since half way thru top gear and I've consequently eaten most of a bar of green and blacks

Jas · 28/12/2008 22:32

dp is out, and I'm drinking Baileys.

Glad you got your laptop Frizbe. It has been very quiet on here lately.

Frizbe · 28/12/2008 22:38

so am I Jas, I've not left it alone for the last two days (well ok I have during the day sometimes!) well that's the last of the bar gone, I'd better go join a weight watchers thread now or summat was Spiced Fruit if anyone interested I'll have a virtual balieys then, as got none here....do have half a bottle of red lurking in the kitchen, but not sure I fancy it.

Jas · 28/12/2008 22:39

I've got a little bit left...I have to hide it from dp

Frizbe · 28/12/2008 22:41

Ok I've just added a bit of lemonade to the red, to make it more palatable shame to leave it sitting on the side eh!

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 22:45

Ooh we have Baileys...

Frizbe · 28/12/2008 22:54

Get the Bailey's out!

Was just looking at my friends website www.wellhealed.org.uk/index.html one for CSWS I think, although it is quite a way from you, if you fancy a retreat I can recommend her

WellOiledWench · 29/12/2008 12:28

Hol not happening due to many reasons that I cant tlak about on here, but Falme, you know. We'res till gonna have the time together, just close to home thats alll. Tbh, its not the end of the world cos I dont mind as long as we train and get to do stuff togeher.

Flamespar · 29/12/2008 16:47

Oh Still that bad then?

SoupDragon · 29/12/2008 16:47

No, CSWS, I stopped feeding BabyDragon in August. I'd been winding down and it was the right time to stop. That's me and breastfeeding done forever now

I was part of the in crowd but since I rejected them, I think I'm now stuck with you commoners

I've just remembered why I clicked on this thread now though - Flame, I want a washable pull up that is suitable for a most-likely-dry-at-night BabyDragon. I'm not ready to ditch the night time nappies but I'm fed up with disposables. Hopefully now she's out of them in the day, the rash problems won't be an issue. Mind you, I could probably dig out the remaining BumGenius couldn't I...? I wonder if they still fit.

Frizbe · 29/12/2008 19:39

WOW what a shame, still at least you still get to play nearer home.

at Soupey playing with us peasants!

Well I went to work 9-1 today, then dd1 got bored, so I insisted that we leave (as its xmas and stuff can wait ya know, so long as dh is manning the shop to take money or I am anything else can wait till next Mon) so we walked to nursery and picked up dd2, who was very happy to see us early I've had to tax the car, as putting it off road till the garage can get hold of it next mon, seemed a little extreme, but I've only done it for 6mths in the hope we will trade it in on something newer if I can sort our finances out or win the lottery

Meridian is rescuing me and dd1 tomorrow am (well her dh is) he's driving us all into Derby for the morning, civilization!!! (kinda it is only Derby!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/12/2008 21:41

No Baileys again for me this year, as it's obv got dairy in it. I did push the boat out and have a snowball over the festive season though .

Awww for no more bf Soupy. I think that dd will make certain that we keep going for a good while yet. Big pat on the back for you for doing so well though. You are, however, a cowardy custard for not trying nappy free at night .

V excited as actually have plans for new year now. Friends are coming to stay with their dd (one of dd's good friends), so hopefully we'll manage a good night and still get some sleep .

Jas · 29/12/2008 22:08

Not even near being nappy free during the day here. No chance at all in the night.

Sorry you aren't getting your hol WOW. I hope you enjoy a proper break whatever you end up doing.

DS' were sold out in rl shops, but have ordered online

I'll be posting to you tomorrow Flame. Thankyou

EachPeachPearMum · 30/12/2008 02:15

WoW hope you don't have to pay for the bit you booked though?

I went to bed at 7:30 as I was shattered, but now I can't sleep, gah!

WellOiledWench · 30/12/2008 09:11

no, dont need to pay for that.
Flme, yes, just as bad but both of them.
Woill still have good time as it wil involve exercise

Flamespar · 30/12/2008 09:53

Pull ups are hell tbh. If she'll keep on the bumgenius then go for those! Minki yoyos are nice pull ups, but really bulky, and the mother of eden things cost a small fortune for the length of time you would need them

I did the minkis for Flamechick, and dude had switched to disposables so didn't have the issue.

SoupDragon · 30/12/2008 12:52

I'm not cowardly for going nappy free at night: she's happy to wear something, I don't want to change beds if it goes pearshaped. It's an easy decision really

I'll dig out the BumGenius. She's happy enough to wear a pull up so it shouldn't be a problem. Mind you "shouldn't" means nothing where she is concerned...

TBH, I'm kind of freaked out that she's already probably dry at night. She is certainly a contrary changeling child full of surprises.

This was only the 3rd year that I've not been pregnant or bf-ing since 1997. No wonder my tolerance for alcohol is so shite now!

WellOiledWench · 30/12/2008 13:55

Ok, so now the hol is gonna be in October and only for 10 days but still gonna have 4 days in hidiing away from family in June

Ds1 is gonna be an adult and stil in night nappies, I swear... He doesnt even care that his brother doesnt wear one.

Flamespar · 30/12/2008 18:12

So you're going away, and having 4 days off... and still not spending childfree time with me???

Soupy - I have organic brushed cotton (or summat or other) waterproof bed protector things that you just stick on top of the sheet and whip out if they wee (like the pampers care mat thing). Can't remember how much they were, but I know I have one sat here I haven't been arsed to list on the shop!

Flamespar · 30/12/2008 18:51

Frizbe - (can't be arsed to find email address), I know you were reading the old blog, so have a link to the new year one - will probably forget about it within a month, but still worth a shot )
