you'll spend all day playing with the ds's instead, promise you mum can you just get mario over this bit, mum, this dog won't do what I want it too.....guitar hero (ds got for xmas) is great though! and introduces the kids to 'our' music

What's all this new site larky then? that'll teach me to be off line for a few months, is that where you've all wondered off to then? never mind, I shall continue to bother you on here, till you speak to me no more!

EachPeachPearMum · 28/12/2008 19:56

Jas wiis are a leetle addictive!
Wow- they must have had a nice haul of chrstmas money do be getting DSs!

Oh no Friz- don't think any of us have been invited to moldies.... maybe CSWS, but none of us are establishment enough. The articlein the Sindie was pisspoor though- all the quotes were mis-attributed!

Btw- noticed earlier that Teuch has had a DS- around 12th DEc. (37 weeks)

Phoenix · 28/12/2008 20:04

We got guitar hero for our Wii today. Not had a chance to go on it yet but i saw my cousin playing it on christmas day and it looks good

I was gonna buy myself a DS with my birthday and christmas money but have decided on an ipod Nano instead.

Congratulations to Teuch

How was the trifle EPPM? I love it too.

for worms. I dread ds getting nits or worms, i'd die

EachPeachPearMum · 28/12/2008 20:36

re nits- I check DD's head pretty frequently with her being at nursery- they have had the occasional case as many of the children have older siblings at school.... the problem is I often find tiny black beard hairs from DH on her scalp- as she likes to hug his legs when he's shaving () -and I panic because they're about the same length as lice
Thankfully nothing so far, but I'm sure it won't be much longer.

I think I have played my DS about 4 times since DD was born -of course, I've discovered mn since then

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 20:59

I was declined from Moldies I am taking it as pride that I have pissed someone off enough to not be allowed to play.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/12/2008 21:10

who put you forward? BALD? Weren't you even slightly miffed to be turned down?
It's all just a bit 3rd form common room for me tbh

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 28/12/2008 21:12

I was invited.

[preen]

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 28/12/2008 21:12

although when I took up the application out of curiosity, it was never approved

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:15

No idea who put me forward, they had a few leaks though which is how I know I was on a list but got declined. Yup, I was miffed for the first day (and then again when drunk at xmas do ), but thought about it logically and realised how bloody insane it was to be upset about a random group. I'm on other groups with MNers that the others don't play on . Plus after the whole narnia thing I don't think I should be in secret groups!!! (Over 2 years on from that and I still feel guilty about what a bitch I was , which is a good thing in a way, I would never do it again!)

Jas · 28/12/2008 21:15

Flame.

I'm not interesting enough to be nominated

All my FLYlady posting just doesn't get me in with the in crowd!

They have been saving for about 6 months fopr the dss, so it includes birthday money....and dd1 is still a bit short so I'm letting her use money from her bank account.

DD1 will be the one to help dd2....I'm rubbish with hand held things, and she picks it up like most 9 yr olds seem to.

DD2 is a bit slower, but will be happy with that rubbish dog game

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:16

pmsl - invited you and thought better of it!

How was BabyDragon's christmas anyway?

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:17

The DS is fabulous - get 2 DSTTs (about £25 each) when you have the money, and get them delivered to me. Will put 30 games on each for you and send them back I'm hooked on Prof Layton's mystery thing

Jas · 28/12/2008 21:19

Tell me in very easy language what a dstt is, and I might!

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:21

It is a teeny memory card and an adaptor to fit it into the normal DS game slot. You can download games (my friend has 100s which is where I get them), and store them on the card. A 2gb card stores about 30 games with space to save your progress etc.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 28/12/2008 21:23

Oh yes, I'd forgotten what a bitch you were in Narnia

[snigger]

the TT card thingies for DS are much cheaper than £25 BTW.

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:27

Think it depends on the site and postage - where I have been ordering for Psycho to get em in time for xmas I have had to do stupid price postage.

DH wants to know why I am only a constant bitch to him, and less so online. He clearly doesn't read my posts to kerrymum

Jas · 28/12/2008 21:28

Oooh, I'm feeling all tech-y now. I have already got two
(My friends dds has one, so I asked for details and passed it on to my lovely brother who had them sent here)

I think I have put some stuff on them, but if I could send to you for more I would be very grateful....
They are 4gb each so plenty of room.

Hello Soupy, btw. Not ignoring you.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/12/2008 21:29

Nah, I wasn't invited, and didn't even know it existed, which is actually a bit of a surprise given how many of them I know and mix with in RL. Not sure who is and isn't one in the main though, and I've had better things to do than read the thousands of posts to try and find out. Dh was offended on my behalf though .

Jas · 28/12/2008 21:31

Also surprised you weren't invited csws, and glad dh took offence for you (as you obviously have more interesting things to worry about)

How are you all?

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 28/12/2008 21:37

DSTT cards. This is where I got min. You need a micro SD card too but they are dirt cheap even on UK sites (under £5 for 2GB)

Flamespar · 28/12/2008 21:41

I've got a feeling 7dayshop do the memory cheaply

Lol @ MrCSWS being indignant on your behalf!

Yay for already having them Jas - feel free to post them to me It would take ages to write out what I have, but if you give me an idea of the kinds of things they like it would be fairly easy

Jas · 28/12/2008 21:43

Is it the micro bit (Soupys second link) that you need?

DD1 likes big kid/ adult arcadey stuff.
DD2 anything your dd would like.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/12/2008 21:47

We're ok thanks Jas. Back home today, but it's freezing, so I'm sitting with my new 'hot sox' on, a hot wheat bag on my chest, and ds on my lap asleep but intermittently squealing for 5 seconds of boob . He has another cold (had temp in middle of night last night), and my cough is back (though not at full blown chest infection stage yet).

Off to in-laws for the day tomorrow.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/12/2008 21:51

It is really cold tonight isn't it? Supposed to be minus 4 here....

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/12/2008 21:53

Our house really feels it when we've not had the heating on much for a few days. Thank goodness we have aircon to heat upstairs.
