Frizbe · 19/07/2008 23:11

Don't you think he's been dressed to look like Gordon Ramsey?

Flamesparrow · 19/07/2008 23:23

Don't say such things!!! Tis a classic example of why child genius shouldn't be exploited!

Who is Dr Horrible?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 08:01

I like this bed (still can't find the other one mrm ) - do you think it'll be too high for dd in a couple of months?

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 08:03

Oh and Phoenix - could it be hand foot & mouth disease?

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 08:16

I'm sure its a lovely bed, but it really looks like a child in beachwear to me

Flame, have found a jar of honey, but its runny not set. Thought we had one, but was at the back, and was standing on a secvond one that was hidden!

Eppm, dont owrry you're not missing anything exciting, bootleg is just copied stuff.

Bit tired this morn, after the aerobics night out last night!

Just off to start an AIBU thread.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 08:40

Oh how annoying. On that site search 'beds & furniture' for 'cabin/highsleeper beds' with keyword parisot, and it's the bottle middle of the 6 that appear.

Phoenix · 20/07/2008 08:50

I'm thinking it is hand foot and mouth csws. I'm gonna take him to the NHS walk in centre to make sure that's what it is

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 09:25

Hey, I actually bothered to follow those instructions and look at the bed csws

I think, I prob wouldnt put ds2 in something that high just yet, but only cos both the boys still fall out of their toddler beds still. And ds1 is 4 1/2 remember!!

I also think, not that you asked ...

its a good sale price from the original, but very very expensive for what it is. Remember, she will just want to stick stickers all over it anyway soon!

Is that a normal single mattress? Or does 'european single' mean somethingelse, lke an odd ikea size? Just thinkni bout getting sheets to fit.

Its hard to tell the finishe from a photo; if I was paying that much I'd want to see it in the flesh first incase it just looked like argos melamine!

With ds1, we're gonna keep him in the little bed as long as poss, because then he can help choose his big bed...that way, he'll be happy, it'll be a big even, it'll prob be a xmas pressie, he'll appreciacte it more than just always haveing had it IYSWIM.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 09:31

Bugger. I really wanted one with hanging space underneath, as we'll have limited room (read possibly none!) for wardrobes in her new bedroom, but any that have this are too high as a result. Have seen nice ones without wardrobe space in the flesh, at that place at Willows, so will go and take another look once the room is done.

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 09:38

Does she ever fal out of bed now though? Could you just use a sideguard on this one for peace of mind? Could you just kee pher clothes somehwere else till she's a bit bigger?

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 09:47

She hasn't fallen out for a long time (must give you back your guard next time I see you), but she does climb in and out in her sleeping bag, which would obv be dangerous. Hoping to get her to accept duvet with her new bed (bought Peppa Pig duvet cover by way of persuasion!). Def not keeping her clothes in another room, when she will be in second biggest bedroom in house! Still quite unsure of storage options until building is further along though, so will reassess. Quite like the Mammut stuff in Ikea so if have any tall space will try and get one of those wardrobes in. Or if the bed doesn't go on the end wall, could put fitted wardrobes there. Hmmmmm.

Flamesparrow · 20/07/2008 09:49

DS would have no issues in the bed, but then this is Flameboy we're talking about.

I am at nearly £500 for a bed only one person sleeps in, but that is me n skintness

Dr Horrible is fabulous. That is all you need to know. Frizbe agrees with me

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 10:39

How can she have the second biggest bedroom and you cant fit a wardrobe in?

Mammut is nice, but with those wardrobes, alot of space is taken with the frontage for an average sized storage capacity, because it sticks out each side IYSWIM.

Return of bedguard not required. Freecycle it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2008 10:52

Because it's in the loft so will have sloping sides instead of a full height wall to stand alongside.

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 11:03

So will it have 2 slopes and 2 gable ends?

For £500 for the bed, you could get someone to build a thing for you with some cunnig use of slopey side, if its at least tall enough in the front part, plus a basic bed with storage underneath!

Phoenix · 20/07/2008 12:13

We're thinking of this bed for Ds (my gran told me yesterday that the people who make Argos furniture also make M&S furniture and M&S sell it for loads more). He's only ever fell out of his bed once.

We have the Mammut wardrobe and drawers in ds' room. I love them

Ds has got hand, foot and mouth . Just got back from the walk in centre so now i know i'll have a read up online cos i don't know anything about it.

mustrunmore · 20/07/2008 12:27

Poor ds Can you tell us all about it when you've read up; I know nothing at all.

Thats a nce bed. Is it only my kids that cant stay in one then?

I'm not gonna change their beds till they grow up out of the n ext level of toys IYSWIM, cos then we will prob need a diff kind of toy storage, so can rethink that and beds at same time.

damewashalot · 20/07/2008 12:37

Just posting to get you on my list and to agree that Dr Horrible is indeed fab
for poorly boy

EachPeachPearMum · 20/07/2008 14:17

for ds Phoenix

Who the hell is Dr Horrible????

mrm- I just realised you mean DVDs! I was thinking magazines, as in someone xeroxed them... erm... [dim emoticon]

Is the mammut stuff the round, 'bubbly' stuff? (IYSWIM) I thought it was plastic- am I wrong?

Phoenix · 20/07/2008 14:53

Mammut series EPPM

I've just made a right knob of myself. I hope none of the neighbours were watching, they'd have been pi**ing themselves I was hanging the washing out (ds' bedding and towels) just got the last thing out and the line dropped down . God knows where dh learned to tie knots. It's all his fault. I rang him to tell him and all he could do was laugh .

Phoenix · 20/07/2008 14:55

Ds has fallen asleep and i'm sat here watching cbeebies . Think i'd better turn it over.

Phoenix · 20/07/2008 14:58

Ooops - hope the neighbours weren't watching.

Flamesparrow · 20/07/2008 16:50
