I ladies thought I would start this..

I cant believe they are starting to and are going to be turning one.. This year has flown over.. I miss being pregnant. But i love watching lee playng with his older brother and sister, it always makes me smile.
I love the fact that he is now playing properly , will go to his toy box pull himself up and see what he wants to play with.. normally after throwing everything round the front room first..No such thing as a tidy room in this house.. How do people do it.

Hope everyone is ok.. speak soon

Oh goodness - happy birthday to Lee! I hope he has a lovely day and that you do too 2+1. Your dh will be thinking about you all.

No more blood for a while - have bought some more tests so will let you know how it all goes. I honestly didn't think it would happen this fast - last time I had to resort to reflexology to sort me out

Feeling much better now - have been out for a walk - dh (who is a bit hungover) and dd are both asleep. It is either implantation bleeding or an early miscarriage - but what will be will be.

Pula - I hope Ben gets back into his good sleeping habits again. Minimeep is mostly okay but we have the occasional disaster night - it's a killer!

twoplusone · 19/07/2008 16:25

Jennster · 19/07/2008 22:16

Couldn't see the birthday pics 2+1!

It's all me me me. DS was sitting in the middle of the room the other day and suddenly he was standing on his own without anything to pull himself up on. I forgot to mention it. He has also done a couple of steps.

Anyway he is breaking his heart and I am about to have my nipples chewed off.

Hello all, been away for a few days and lots has happened!

Hope the poorly DCs get better soon- DS & DD have also just come down with a stinker of a cold...and not sleeping with it either CF Clinic have said if DD is still this miserable tonight to bring her into hospital tomorrow to get checked over...fingers crossed we don't have to but I'm still paranoid about such things so keep thinking maybe I should take her down just in case (but at 1.5hrs drive each way with 2 DCs you can see why I also don't really want to if not necessary...there's only so many renditions of wheels on the bus I can take...)

Meep- how are you today? I didn't have any bleeding with DS but with DD has both implantation bleeding and another light bleed at 8.5 weeks (when I would have had a period). It was hard to know how to feel, with the second bleed I was almost convinced I was miscarrying but 2 days later bleeding stopped and we were fine. It's a tough time.

Mairi finally has her first tooth!! hooray!! Still not liking being spoon fed, so trying to try new finger foods- a friend just sent me this book for will start on that!- finger food book

Take care all xx

Myfairone · 22/07/2008 14:53

Thanks for the link to the finger food book Madmum. DS has certainly got a taste for anything he can handle himself. He has a real taste for olives lately. After taking the stone out he ate 3 straight off and then cried when I wouldn't let him have anymore!

Im sorry to hear some of the LO's have sickness. When DS had it he was so poorly. I hope they all feel better soon. Doctor did tell me its okay to give them diaralyte if they cant take in any food.

Meep, hope Minimeep is feeling better and I hope you are too. Keep us informed. Just relax and be kind to yourself. As you said, what will be will be. Sending hugs.

DS's birthday on friday and cannot work out where to take him. Was going to go out for the day but weather looks to be baking so I don't want him to get too hot and bothered. May just stay home and have a little party in the garden.

Big hugs to all.

meep · 22/07/2008 19:58

I've not tried olives - might give them a go!

Minimeep is now much better - full of snot but no more vom - thank goodness. Justabout, hope your vom cleaning has stopped too !

Jennster - hooray for your ds standing - that is brilliant!

And another hooray for Mairi's teeth!

Thanks for telling me about your bleeding madmum - that gives me hope. I was at the hospital today for a blood test - and I am still pregnant - just have to see if the hcg levels have gone up enough on Thursday - fingers crossed.

2+1 - what lovely photos of Lee!

twoplusone · 22/07/2008 20:37

Will let you all know how I am getting on!

Jennster · 23/07/2008 18:03

I was thinking about that before Justabout. Bicarb for pukey smells and stains. HappyBirthday littlestjustabout. Just off to fill ds' cake.

meep · 23/07/2008 19:37

Jennster - can't belive I forgot to say happy birthday to your ds - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

meep · 24/07/2008 17:07

things still okay in the house of meep! My hcg levels have more than doubled. They want to do one more test on Saturday then a scan later on just to make sure - but at the moment the bean is heading in the right direction!

So am very happy but not counting my chickens yet

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 24/07/2008 18:13

Hi just a quick update as we are home from hospital for the afternoon, I took Lydie in on sunday night as I wasn't happy with her breathing and she had refused food and bf'ds allday, fortunately our doc was on duty and unfortunately decided that she would need 2 weeks of IV antibitics, she had a GA on weds to get a line in and now were able to get home in the afternoon between doses, and hopefully starting monday I be able to doe home IV ( fingers crossed we get the funding needed!) Ah well we'sd been having a relatively quiet patch so.....

Anyway congrats to meep and I have everything crossed for you, I hope it's a sticky one!

As for the all of those doning the rubber gloves with the sicky bowls I hope that ittle joy passes soon

Must go as I have to much to do before our return

Dorisx

madmarriedNika · 24/07/2008 21:07

Poor Lydie And poor you too Doris. Glad though that they have acted quickly but sorry to hear she had to have a GA to get a line in (Mairi's veins are crap too...but we are v v lucky to have avoided IVs since her first week of life). Hope setting up IVs at home goes ok. And hope she is lots better soon- you really have my sympathies

Meep- great news! Will keep everything crossed for you for the next test & scan...how exciting! Have you (dared) worked out a due date yet?

Hope sick bugs are all gone now...

Mairi is doing well- cold is definitely on the mend though still lots of coughing...BUT it doesn't seem to have had any affect on her breathing/wheeziness so think she's fighting this one on her own. Spent afternoon yest down on the rocks by the sea watching the start of the tall ships race while Mairi tried eating whelks- she seems to like them raw!! (And DS spend ages trying to knock limpets off...you'd think he's have learnt by now to give up....)

For some amusement picture me on Sunday...I'm in a bog snorkelling relay team!! Yep, snorkelling through a peat bog drain just for fun...must be insane...Believe it or not Sunday is International Bog Day (of the natural variety)!

Have a great weekend (yes know it's not even friday yet...but just getting that friday feeling today...) x

twoplusone · 24/07/2008 21:33

Poor Lydie, thinking of you both hun..

Happy birthdays for those i have missed.

Meep- really pleased for you.xx

Just been packing DD things, she is going to her dads in the morning// my um will pick her up on the 6th Aug then is taking her to spain till the 18th aug, then she flies back home on the 19th aug.. she is due back the same day as DH..

I am debating coming over to the uk for as few days.. but then today i saw some new furniture I want fothenew house.. so do I buy it and not come home!!!. Or do both.. But then I started thinking about how will I cope at the airport, as to get decent priced flights I need to fly to leed bradford and it is an evening flight leaving here at 9pm.. which mean I will have two tired little boys, lne in a oushchair, carrying the other one, two suitcaes..incase ds1 decides to stay weith his grandparents for an extra week, and both carseats... not doable on my own, and last time i asked for help in the german airport i was told they werent allowed to. It was when I moved here from Cyprus, I had dd and ds, 4suitcases, pushchair, and the dog in her cage.. which is massive.. I had to do two trips through, baggage claim.. one with the children, dd pushed the pushchair, and I walked the dog through with the luggage trolley, then had to go back for her cage once I had handed them all over to my DH...
Sorry I know I always seem to sound negative.. I just see things in so many different ways i wish I was blinkered at times then i wouldnt worry as much, or cause myself to worry by thining about all the possible senarios.

best go to bed early start in the morn.. I am dropping boys of at a neighbours as I cant take them to the airport as here I have to take dd to the gate and hand her over as she boards..

Take care all
xx

Wow - I haven't managed to get on for ages - lots happening!

Firstly Lydie and Doris, I really hope the antibiotics do their stuff and Lydie gets home soon. Hope you get the funding you need.

Secondly Meep - I've just seen your news!!! congratulations!!! Sorry you've had a bit of a rollercoaster so far but keeping everything crossed for you .

MadMum - I'm trying to picture a bog snorkelling relay but finding it tricky . Is this what one does to celebrate International Bog Day then!!! Hope Mairi's cold continues to improve. Will she be cheering you on on Sunday?

Twoplusone - airports sound like a logistical nightmare. You really need more than one pair hands. I'd stick with the furniture!!!!

Justabout - I'm with you on thinking that every stage is the best stage! Little O continues to delight although she had her first nursery accident this week . She was trying to catch bubbles and in her excitement lost her balance and caught the outside of her eye on the table. Poor little thing has a cut and a bit of a black eye.

I seem to be struggling through the days at the moment suffering extreme tiredness and horrible morning sickness - am in bed asleep by 9.30 every night at the moment. Gone off so many smells - the worst one this week has been those fragranced nappy sacks. Yeeeuuurrrgggh!

Anyway, hoping you all have a lovely weekend and that the sun shines - even on your bog MMN .

Happy birthday to the LO's!

Myfairone · 25/07/2008 15:15

Meep, great news! fingers crossed. I am sure its a rough time for you but keep thinking positive thoughts.

madmum - bog snorkelling? your a better lady than me!

Twoplusone - as i said before, your a real trooper and you cope amazingly with all you do! Well done!

Justabout - The stages are just beautiful to watch arn't they? He never ceases to amaze me with all that he does.

Catstar - Sorry to hear that Little O injured herself. Poor little thing!
Sorry to hear you are feeling so sick. hopefully it passes soon. Its all worth it in the end.

Doris, I hope Lydie is better soon. It must be tough for you. Lots of hugs.

Okay can anyone explain why I feel so emotional? Its DS's birthday and all day I have been so close to tears. There is a part of me that feels sad that the year has gone so fast and another part that is celebrating how far we have come. I just feel so emotional. I went to my parents this morning and they had decorated the house with balloons and streamers, DS just didnt know what to make of it. We went to lunch and even though I knew I should be having fun I just couldnt wait to come home to cry. I'm not normally like this and have no idea why I feel this way. I keep thinking 'this time last year' and its making me feel worse! (this time last year I was starting to push - here I go again!!!!)

Big hugs to all and I hope your enjoying the sunshine.
