I ladies thought I would start this..

I cant believe they are starting to and are going to be turning one.. This year has flown over.. I miss being pregnant. But i love watching lee playng with his older brother and sister, it always makes me smile.
I love the fact that he is now playing properly , will go to his toy box pull himself up and see what he wants to play with.. normally after throwing everything round the front room first..No such thing as a tidy room in this house.. How do people do it.

Hope everyone is ok.. speak soon

thanks madmum & justabout!

Nursery assured me that she ate all her tea last night - lentil casserole and a pasta dish! Then I gave her some fruit loaf and butter when I got home and she ate a few wee bits!

i will keep her grazing - I think that will work best. She just gets bored when she's stuck in her high chair!

She is currently entranced by In the Night Garden and I am not feeling bad about using it as a babysitter as we have been up since 5.20am! Ugh!

I think her tummy bug has just knocked her all out plus teeth (lots of chewing this morning - I think she cried for about an hour poor wee thing).

Madmum your food sounds lovely! I will send minimeep to you for her holidays so you can fatten her up!

meep · 05/09/2008 11:41

just a wee update - minimeep ate loads yesterday - her appetite is back - hooray!!! Alas it has not sorted our her sleep - 2 hours awake from 3am - then up and ready for the day at 5.45am.

So tired...................

Meep good news about the eating. You have my sympathy about the sleep. Dd has become an awkward sleeper. Waking in the middle of the night petrified for a cuddle and a story. She now needs the light on to go to sleep. Ds has started waking early too for his morning feed. 5.50 this morning, but I'm so exhausted, I'm feeding him and putting him back down to sleep which is working, but I feel he should be able to at least go through to 6.30.

ZZZZzzzzz

DS decided he didn't want to go to sleep last night, and then we gave him a cup of milk which he downed in one. He must have been pretty thirsty. DD was being very naughty not wanting to go to bed too, and then decided she didn't want to get up this morning.

Myfairone · 08/09/2008 13:00

Hi ladies,

Just been reading all your news. Glad to hear minimeep is back to eating again and hopefully piling on the oz's!
I too try my hardest to get LO to eat as many calories as possible but he likes things to be very dry! (BORRRRING!)

Jennster, excellent news. You must be thrilled. I hope that you have an easy time and that you manage to get the rest you need.

Nothing much to report here. DS cut two more teeth which really seemed to bother him. Very sore bottom (which he hasn't had with the others) and quite miserable at times. Although its approaching two weeks since his MMR so maybe thats starting to kick in too.

Does anyone else ever feel like they get no time for them? Don't get me wrong, I love having as much time as possible with DS. But sometimes after all is done at night, Im just exhausted!
Okay moan over...just wondered how everyone manages to fit everything in!

Big hugs to all.

meep · 11/09/2008 08:50

Morning all - had my nuchal scan yesterday and there was a wriggly baby in there - whoo hoo! Still waiting for my blood tests to come back - but the machine in glasgow has "broken" so they are delayed - argh!

MFO - am with you on having no time. I get about 1 to 2 hours each evening to slob in front of the tv - but even that is getting shorter as I get more exhausted and crawl into bed at 8pm!

Me and dh were away for the night at a wedding - it was very strange to be without a small person - we actually talked about loads of stuff that wasn't child related - felt quite liberating !

Was obviously so excited to collect minimeep from my folks. I crouched down with my arms outstretched as she crawled towards me. She rached me, shook her head, said "no no no" crawled right round me and straight to dh for a cuddle. She then ignored me for the next 2 hours! I tried very hard not to cry be upset! Thankfully we're friends again!

Jennster hope your little darlings are all sleeping better?

justabout - minimeep gets excited when I turn to teh "catch up tv on demand" page because she knows In The night Garden is about to start (my only way through her early wakings.) We're back to about 6.15 again - ohew!

Myfairone · 11/09/2008 10:47

Meep, how wonderful to see your little wriggly bean! I hope all goes well with the bloods.

Have had a bad few days
DS stays with my Mum 3 days a week while I go to work. Yesterday I couldn't get hold of her and started to worry. Turns out he had pulled a new radiator cover onto himself and cut his face...she proceeded to blame me because I have their drill (borrowed it to put a baby gate!). I cried at work until one of my friends put it all into perspective...I will be eternally grateful to her for taking care of him, but she has and always will have a bad habit of not wanting to take the blame for anything! grrrrr...

This morning it's all about her (she has been awake all night worrying about him...she has cried all night because she feels bad!).

In the meantime I argued with DH over it last night.

I feel like I'm dealing with so many children here!!!

Sorry to moan!

have a great day all

meep · 11/09/2008 11:17

my mum can do this - especially the all night awake worrying. I suppose at least she worries - but then I get stressed about her worrying (and annoyed)!

No wonder you cried - your ds got hurt - but not heped by your mum blaming you. As you say - grrr!

Hope your ds is okay?

meep · 11/09/2008 11:17

my spelling is dreadful today - apologies [sigh!]

Hurrah - I managed to get on Mumsnet for the first time in ages ! Have been trying to catch up with everyone's news and althugh I nearly missed it, congratulations Jennster!!! Hope you are feeling okay and your DC's are letting you get a good night's sleep.

Meep - so pleased the nuchal scan went well and hope Minimeep has forgiven you for going out . It made me smile to think of her bypassing you to get to your DH - they know how to tug the heart strings, don't they!

MFO - hope your DS is okay following the radiator cover incident and that you and your mother have patched things up - I think it's a knee-jerk reaction to try to shift the blame, but it's not fair on you . Hope all okay now.

Hopw everyone is well - I just had a week off work which was lovely. I can't wait for my maternity leave to start next year - although I'm sure there will be days when I will wish I was at work!! DH and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by putting Little O in nursery and having a long lunch at the Gaucho Grill along the river in Richmond. It was lovely!

Little O is 14 months now and still not too interested in walking but stands on her own (for applause!!) and is so much fun! She's great company - this afternoon we're off to feed the ducks and then have a coffee (me!) and chat!

Well, better be off now but take care everyone!

pulapula pops in and whispers...

I will be more confident in a few days time, but got a v.feint line today on a test stick so will be testing again no doubt to see if it's getting darker!

Woohoo! See you on the May thread perhaps.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 16/09/2008 13:10

Thinking about trying here too...... tested this morning but BFN but still feeling faintly nauseaous soooo just got wait some more

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 16/09/2008 13:19

Actually "thinking about trying" is not necessarily an accurate statement, just not trying not to, if you get my drift, but we do have fabulous contraception in the form of dd1 (and dd2)!!!

However the fact that dd2 is here would suggest it's not an 100% effective method ( coitus interuptus I think it's best know as !!!)

pulapula · 16/09/2008 20:44

lol Doris, that sounds a bit like a friend of mine who's contraceptive method was avoiding her "fertile" days each month and ended up with twins! Is your period due yet? Keep on testing!

I did a digital test today and definitely BFP so looks like we're pregnant.

It still hasn't sunk in- I have a job interview next Tues (my boss has left so his job is vacant) and I'm already feeling rough in the mornings! I also put on my application that I would consider working full-time but not so sure now...

Jennster · 16/09/2008 20:52

That's great news Pula. We're flying there on Saturday. Good luck with the interview

Hope you get the result you want Doris.

madmarriedNika · 16/09/2008 21:19

Fab news pula Really chuffed for you!
Good luck with your interview!
I have a job interview in just over a week and already nervous...just not sure my brain works so well anymore!! And having worked on my own for, well, over 18 months now- and very part-time/flexibly too- I am quite scared of entering a real workplace again!

Doris- have CAT'd you- been meaning to for ages since I finally subscribed to it! We are also trying again (isn't it funny how many of us are going for no.3) and already my head is spinning with all the extra "issues". Good luck with your not-really-trying-but-seeing-what-happens!

Hope everyone else is well...Mairi is still sleeping badly but not quite as badly, only waking 3 times a night now! Still needing milk in the night though . Trying to be firm with her but if she really yells she wakes DS and that causes a lot of upset so I'm probably not being as firm as I should be... They are both full of the cold at the mo so kind of allowing for a few wakenings each night...
