Sexonlegs · 10/05/2008 09:05

Morning all.

SPB, what a nightmare. Has T changed nurseries yet?

Oooggs, pants night indeed. Looks like you have a packed weekend

GM, 4.50 a.m.!!!!!! Hell on earth.

All ok here. K was coughing on and off all night, and whilst it didn't bother her, I slept really badly.

Right, better get on. See yu lovely lot later on. x

StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2008 10:01

T will not stop wingeing and hasn't eaten anything in about 2 weeks. I am so sick of all this.
Yes, he's out of nursery, starts the new one beginning of June, assuming he is actually well thn but it's not looking hopeful

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2008 10:08

Oooh has this thread title kicked off yet?

StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2008 10:23

so far so quiet bumper
although i didn't know that - if you mean 5ml, I've been doing that since he was 6mo

Eddas · 10/05/2008 10:34

morning

SPB, i can't believe poor t is still ill, not that i think you're lying poor little thing. Must ne so hard on you all {{{{{hugs}}}}}

OOoggs, maybe they'd sleep in a cupboard might be worth a try

HI SOL and CD

I'm this morning as the post brought a nice big cheque from the solicitor pity most of it'll pay of the credit card oh well

It's radio one's big weekend this weekend, which means we have to avoid the town centre. It's rubbish at the best of times but they were advertising road closures so it'll be a nightmare. Oh well keeps me out of the shops

StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2008 10:38

at big cheque
"SPB, i can't believe poor t is still ill, not that i think you're lying"
I have started to think I am going to vbe investigated, at best for poor hygiene., at woorst for MSbP.
except all health people think it's normal, of course

Eddas · 10/05/2008 10:47

it's madness. How can they say it's normal for him to have d&v for so long. It is normal for poo to be a bit loose and also for babies to be sick(as evident in my ds) but if it hasn't been normal for T until now then there's a problem No-one bats an eyelid at my ds being sick, me included, but he's done that since birth, T hasn't.

StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2008 10:52

your poor ds! No, he has always been as vomitey as the next baby and stopped completely when well at about 5/6 months i think.
Have posted in health.
Plus, I think I am going to get pressure to stop bf
Well, he is asleep! Should go and hang washing out, it is lovely!

Eddas · 10/05/2008 10:58

my ds is fine, he just has reflux(or reflex as i told the nursery yesterday what a muppet!) i asked the docotr and she said not to worry as he's fine apart from that, which i agreed with.

Don't let anyone pressure you to give up bf if that's not what you want. His sickness won't have anything to do with that surely? Just keep bugging the doctors until they help you. it makes me mad that people have to pressure others to get things but that's the way of the world these days it seems

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2008 11:01

Nope, I mean 2 x 5ml SPB Didn't think it was particularly controversial myself tbh

The "Evil Ones" are here, best rescue DH .....

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2008 11:06

That';s what i thought you meant. I didn't realise that - will do that next time.
Good luck with the family!

Eddas, I know, but I think mum is of the opinion that that is why he won't eat, and if she presnets it that way to the HV the HV will probably agree...DH was all supportive of bf as T is ill but it became clear last night that he is expecting me to stop soon aaaaargh

lol at reflex, does he also have an 80s hairdo and dance?

Speaking of which, T needs a haircut, he is starting to look as though he has a mullet

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2008 14:00

It is up to you and T when to stop BF not DH sweetie. xx

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2008 17:32

hullo

we've had the lurgy too here. T been ill for 4 days > he's a bit more of his normal self today thank goodness. 3 nights straight with no sleep (apart from the odd hopeful 2 hours) had me at meltdown! Obviously this is the perfect state of mind to write a PhD in

not caught up properly, but spb sorry to see t is still got d&v poor love. poor mummy! Don't let anyone pressurize you into stopping bf. And don't let anyone make you feel like you're making a mountain out of a molehill. You are his mamma and you know what's going on 24/7 with him, unlike professionals who only get a short glimpse. Have you tried seeing a different doc? Even swapping surgeries if no-one is taking you seriously? Sorry if that's been debated already.

Right off to put ds to bed. Can I just ask what are people dressing their dc in to go bed in now it's so hot?? I don't know if its too hot or too cold or should he still be in a growbag or should he just have a sheet???

elkiedee · 10/05/2008 19:49

SPB and eca, sorry to hear about T & T.

eca, we've not used a sleeping bag for a few weeks, some nights he's had pyjamas on but last night and tonight it's just a vest - he has a light blanket available but I've not even tried to put it over him when he's like this.

D's been very distressed yesterday and today, he seems to have almost all the teeth that aren't there already trying to come through at once. We're getting quite anxious about him, as is CM. Today we took him to a party in a small children's play place which he would normally have loved, but he really isn't his normal playful self . He had a few minutes when he seemed happy covering himself in birthday cake and strawberries, but a rather worrying afternoon generally.

Sexonlegs · 10/05/2008 19:51

Hi all.

Really quiet on here today. All out enjoying the sunshine I hope.

Eca, sorry to hear T has been poorly. What's he had?

SPB, how is T?

I really think you need to start keeping a diary, and see if there are any links? When K was a few months and I had worries about her digestive system, that's what they suggested to me.

Dippy, hope you and the girls enjoyed the party.

All ok here. Been enjoying the weather. K seems to have a bloody temperature tho. She seems happy enough, so am not overly concerned.

Had a lovely BBQ this afternoon. Made burgers which were yummy, and potato salad - deelish!

oooggs · 10/05/2008 19:56

evening all

bedtime mine are over dressed in long sleeved pj top, nappy & 1 tog grobag (I am still using a winter duvet, winter pjs and bed socks ) I really feel the cold at night so never know what is best. At least ds1 can tell me.

DH sleeps on the edge of our bed in very little with no duvet on

Sexonlegs · 10/05/2008 20:17

Eca, K is going to bed with a short-sleeve body suit and a 1 tog grogab. She has a fan on in her room to try and circulate the air.

B is in regular pj's with a summer duvet and a fan in her room.

K coughing again tonight. I see a shit night in my crystal ball

Hi Oooggs. How was your day?

Elkie, how is D now?

The lo's seem to be a bit off atm don't they?

oooggs · 10/05/2008 20:21

blimey I am now worried I am cooking my children

walk to shops and to the park this morning
parents over in afternoon for play and garden fun (James & grandad)

dh walked in at 4.30pm quickly changed and we walked to the nature reserve for a picnic then popped in the local pubs beer garden on the way back for a swift pint bath & in bed by 7.30pm (all 4 of them now asleep )

thanks for asking sol

penpotEca · 10/05/2008 20:36

rofl at oooggs cooking the twins ! That sounds about what we've been doing with T, he's been in a sleep suit and 2.5 growbag, not to mention the big bamboo nappy and wrap! After hearing what elkie's D is in I'm thinking maybe I need to relax a bit! I'm paranoid about him being too hot/cold.

sol - bummer at the crystal ball reading! Hope it's wrong! T's had a virus or something that gave him a raging temp for 2 days and then it's gone on his chest and he's been coughing and wheezing like a 40-a-day-oldman.

Sexonlegs · 10/05/2008 21:00

Tis so difficult to know what to put them in isn't it.

Eca, K has been coughing and weezing - she sounded awful last night bless her. She was fast asleep through it though. I went in as I thought she must of been awake, but she was sparko. Woke her up to give her some medised, and she was so sweet. She opened her eyes, gave me a huge smile, shut her eyes, then opened them again and another beaming smile. I gave her some medised and she was chatting away and pointing. She went down again no problem Such a sweetie.

penpotEca · 10/05/2008 21:14

How cute! I wish T took his medicine like that. We have to clamp his head and syringe it into his screaming mouth by force! I gave him his inhaler (also by sheer force) that he'd been given a while ago for wheezing. It did help a bit. Poor baba was patting his chest because he was finding it so hard to breath . Maybe I shoudl have taken him to the docs...

Doobydoo · 10/05/2008 21:18

Hi All.There is definitely lurgy going round.#
Poor you spb...have to say sounds abit like M.tHOUGH HE ISN'T SICK his nappies are usually awful 9 times out of 10.Don't feel i have the measure of him yet.I agree with others...don't let anyone force you into stopping breastfeeding and regarding health visitors, well some are ok and some aren't[don't know what your's is like].Food diary might be a good idea...I am going to start one for M and start from scratch re wheat and dairy etc.My doctor isn't massively helpful regarding allergy things but dp has some.It is odd...M eats anything and has been poorlier than ds1 who has always been fussy.M is still pulling his ears but seems alot happier today.Still not walking..though climbs and cruises.I love seeing him crawl fast with his bottom and legs wiggling from side to side.
Hello to everyone and hope babies get over this lurgy soon
