we live in tied houses because of dh's job, so when we changed jobs last year, we had to move also. it's not that far away from the school, but we are approx 1/2 a mile out of catchment area, and they say that the school is too full

ds1 and dd1 are at the junior school (which is a feeder school to the one we wanted him to go to) ds2 at the infant school, which is a feeder school to the junior school - where he has been given a place for september! - make sense of that if you can!

Well that is totally mad.I expect you have said you wouldn't have sent dc's to feeder school if they weren't going to get a place.

oh caz I am furious (for you)(and James) that is so unfair, fair enough not letting 'a child' into a school. But not to let a child in and therefore affecting his siblings and you having to uproot them is maddening - hope that makes sense
