PillockOfTheCommunity · 08/05/2008 11:45

Not sure what we'll do, will have to look at car hire/car seats, but we might just drive and ferry over, or he might drive and I fly one way with M, lots to work out!

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 11:51

Am okishCD How are YOU!
potc..i ASKED BECAUSE THERE IS LOTS YOU CAN DO.It is hard to focus on an area. You could all come and stay here..I reckon we will have room...but totally understand if not practical etc.Or come and stay for 1 night.Dublin is 3 to 4 hours away.Cork city 45 mins.Kerry about 2 hours.Beaches very near etc etc.

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 11:53

What I also meant was that dp will prob be werking and I have Nissan Almeira.Which could fit 2 car seats and adult in back and 2 adults in front so prob not big enough to fit everyone in.
I saidas feel a tad crap actually[headache]which is not helped by being on here
I am going to put washing on.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 08/05/2008 11:57

Are you serious Dooby???
There'll be me and new man and M (4.5) and J, and you've never met us before!!!!
If you are it would be fab, Kerry is the cheapest place to fly to so we'd probably aim for there anyway, then hire a car. Or we might bring the car, would have to talk to him about which he'd prefer.

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 11:59

Aye,I am.Will have to speak to my Lord and Master obviously.I will show him your profileYou could put a pic up of the 4 of you holding a banner saying we are all ok honest

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 12:05

...And you have never met us[hehehehe]
Ds1 is nearly 9 and you know about M

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 12:06

No news yet!

POTC - you are welcome here anytime!

Eddas - when we were thinking about moving I had a look at the CTC calculator on the hmrc website - it was fairly simple and you can find out what you are entitled to!

charlie has decided to potty train, and we have been brave and done 2 days of school run, and even been to tesco's this morning and so far only 1 accident, when he fell asleep but i fear I will be saying "do you want a wee?" in my sleep

cazboldy · 08/05/2008 13:06

it's a no.......

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 13:10

Are you expecting to hear today Caz?
Please don't all judge me too harshly re dogsI bottled out of rehoming them end of last year but I really cannot manage 3 and ds2 and ds1.I know that sounds wimpy but it is true.I don't think they are as happy as they could be either. It is going to cost money to rehome them properly as I didn't want them just going anywhere and there is back up etcBut I do think in the long run they will be happier and it is the right choice for us too.
POTC...Spoke to dp[he just rang]So no probs if you want to stay as long or a little as you like,or not at all.Tis up to you but you are all welcome.Even if you use it as a base to foray out to explore. And the dp's could baby sit and we could go out![haha]Only joking.

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 13:11

Fuck...what happens now. What reasons did they give?

cazboldy · 08/05/2008 13:43

not sure, they will be sending a letter - they just give decision over the phone

we will have to move all 3 of them to new schools

Bramshott · 08/05/2008 14:21

Oh No Caz

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 14:39

i AM SO SORRY cAZ[SAD]

mammyjo · 08/05/2008 15:31

Oh no Caz, I am so sorry to hear that What a nightmare for you having to now move them all. Hope you are ok xxx

Hi everyone else! I haven't been on for a few days and haven't caught up at all so hope I haven't missed anything too exciting! F is off nursery today, had a temp over the weekend which has now become a vomiting bug. Poor little thing has managed to drink some fluids today and keep them down, but she is so tired and is back in bed now.

geordieminx · 08/05/2008 15:37

Is there anyway you can appeal Caz?

cazboldy · 08/05/2008 16:43

that was it gm! dc not happy

tears and anger

going to be a hard time

geordieminx · 08/05/2008 17:01

Thats crazy though - surely if the only alternative is to take 3 other dc out of school and into another one they should have to find him a place? Can you refuse?

Sexonlegs · 08/05/2008 17:45

Oh Caz, I am so sorry

It seems utterly insane that you have to uproot the other dc because of this. Total madness. Cannot believe the school have made this decision.

Hug hugs to you and your dc. x

Doobydoo · 08/05/2008 17:48

sCHOOL SOUNDS TOTALLY UNBENDING AND A BUNCH OF POOHEADS.Utterly stupid of them.Again am soory for you and your children.

liath · 08/05/2008 17:52

Oh caz, that's really rubbish for you all . So unfair on the kids.

POTC, DH and I had a fantastic holiday in Dungarvan - it's a really beautiful part of the world and we have very special memories as we'd been TTC for over 3 years and were about to start IVF when we got back but couldn't...becuase I was pregnant with dd . I think we got the ferry across then spent a couple of nights in Dublin before driving down. Very of you living there, Dooby!!

Not much happening here - the weather is stunning still but I'm coming down with something nasty .

cazboldy · 08/05/2008 18:08

it is the local education authority, and not the actual school..... i don't know gm.....and do what?

i have been trying to do what i thought was best for them, and then they just come along and none of it matters

as far as they are concerned, my dc don't matter
