I would find out more about the transport before making a decision Caz - I have to say that school transport has changed my life! DD1 is collected from the door by taxi at 8.40am, and returned to the door at 3.45pm. We are eligible because our catchment school is more than 3 miles away. She goes with 2 of her friends, and loves it. Some of her friends go by bus, although I think it's a school coach rather than a public bus, and are fine - I went by bus to school myself from age 11.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/05/2008 13:23

ahem. I need to ask a really dim question, but I don't get out of the country much
If we drive do we need passports???

geordieminx · 09/05/2008 13:31

yes - Passports required for southern Ireland

Doobydoo · 09/05/2008 13:36

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/05/2008 15:13

I posted a while ago to say that M's uncle was having a biopsy. I've just heard he has lung cancer . He is in his 30's and they have a dd who turned 3 on 1st May. M's dad says the docs didn't want to operate but they have been persuaded to so I'm thinking it must be bad. Please pray for them xx

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:43

oooggs, does that mean you had an unbroken night?

oooggs · 09/05/2008 16:45

yes I did - I did hear ds1, but dh was up and out of bed before I had managed it so I went straight back to sleep

wishing you the same pleasure of one nights unbroken sleep (cos it won't happen again for a while) - hoping T is feeling better

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:51

He has slept for 2 hours this morning and has now been asleep for 50 mins at the moment.
Strangely I see this as a sign that we will have a good night.
My plan for days off is to always go for a walk, we have just been for one, and it has put me in a ridiculously good mood. We watched the sheep (and I'm sure T answered baa when I asked him what they say) saw some horses (apparently they say baa too) and picked a buttercup. He loved it! He got a bit grouchy at the end, I think he is getting sick of being strapped in, the sooner he is walking the better!

CaptainDippy · 09/05/2008 17:10
