Here we go. I was too sick, sleepy and preoccupied with my weight to notice the old thread running out

Right better be off, I have a feeling the baby is on the verge of waking up and moaning for 2 hours again.

I'm off to, I'm bloody starving as didn't get home from Babyshow til gone 7, so didn't have a proper dinner. I need some cereal and my bed!

Night all.

Peace out xx

lackaDAISYcal · 18/05/2008 22:49

I'm off too...Dh is making going to bed noises, and not in a god way. The bed os till littered with all the stuff I've been sorting out today and I have to excavate before we can get in it.

It;s good to have lots of chat again

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/05/2008 06:39

Morning all. Sorry I missed all the chat last night but i went to bed at 6.30, right after the jamlet! I'd been feeling sick and bloated all afternoon and was just totally washed out. Still not right this morning, but have a training day on so feel I might have to go in to work But on the other hand I can't face anything to eat (didn't have any tea last night either) and still got abdo pain/bloatedness, so maybe it's not a top idea? And no, I don't think I'm pg. I think that troubles in the lower half of the digestive system are more symptomatic of a bug.

Lovely photos Holly, and good to hear from you.

Good booting Ria and good luck for DH whatever he decides to go for.

Hope to be able to join in a London meet up, keep me posted.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 19/05/2008 07:09

Very quickly popping on, can't believe it has been so quiet and when I decide to go to bed at 9.30 you all come on a chat!

Jammy hope you feel better today.

Daisy, I might be going to my dad's this weekend. Not got details yet but may be up for a meet on Friday? You around?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/05/2008 08:07

Oh dear, I'd gathered all the bits & bobs I need for work, and was just going to find my bag to put them in and ... I had to make a sudden run to the bathroom. So no work for me today At least DH has gone off taking jamlet to nursery so I only have myself to worry about.

RiaButterflew · 19/05/2008 10:51

jammy. hope you get a good rest and feel better quickly.

DH has gone! It is very quiet now baggins has stopped being grumpy. I dug out some big boys toys for him out of the toy chest (xylophone and ELC music & lights drum but the batteries are dead, and a pull along duck). I have a car like that one you posted the other day jammy, but I can't find the little man, so he can have that another day.

Have spent the morning scrubbing a futon mattress I bought off ebay. It still has coffee stains but at least I know its been cleaned vigorously! I will have to make a cover, but it's really only for DS1 to sit on in his room so it doesn't matter too much, a blanket will do til I can face sewing (I'm thinking duvet cover with tweaking?)

I must go and get dressed to get DS2 from nursery.

RiaButterflew · 19/05/2008 10:57

He starts on Weds now. He needs lemsip but he had paracetamol for breakfast so can't til after lunch.

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/05/2008 11:03

for poorly Ria's DH and Jammy. that Ria's DH has a jab though, I must have missed that - congrats!

LittleMissNorty · 19/05/2008 11:57

Morning everyone

Poor Jammy and Mr Ria - hope you feel better soon....at least you can lounge in front of the TV Jammy....there is nothing worse than feeling ill and having a LO to look after...

Well no ill effects from the cows milk yesterday so another 7oz bottle this morning ..... my little girl is growing up....no more formula, no more bottles....no more cuddles at feeding time....actually feeding times are getting very disgusting and messy atm.....food goes in, out and in again...

foxythesnowfox · 19/05/2008 12:13

hello all,

sorry you aren't well Jammy and sorry for your DH Ria

I have been uber productive, finished building the garden furniture and sorted my wireless connection at last.

Suppose I'd better stop LO. She's currently munching on our mortgage documents.

I want chips.

foxythesnowfox · 19/05/2008 12:15

crikey Norty! That is grown up!

I'm desperately not wanting to finish bf or that'll be it for my sitting-down MNing. Oh, and the only 1:1 time LO gets.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/05/2008 13:04

Hi Norty, Foxy, Fairy if you're still around?

Is it odd then not to have to sort bottles out any more? I admit I've got kind of mixed feelings about stopping BF. It'll be nice to be able to be that bit free-er, but I will miss it. I think though we'll go with the original "plan" of going to a year, then starting to wind down, dropping to just morning and night for a while. One thing I won't miss is sitting expressing at work though.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/05/2008 13:11

Afternoon all!

Jammy, hope you feel better soon, it sounds dreadful. You need a duvet day!

Sorry dh is unwell too ria, what a time to get ill on your first day at work!

No more bottles norty! Well done! My dd is 3 next week and still has a bedtime bottle !

How productive of you foxy, I have not had a productive morning. I got this quarter's Clubcard vouchers through this morning and have been looking on 'tinterweb at the Siblu holiday parks because we can use the vouchers to pay. We can go via Easyjet to Barcelona for £189, for all 4 of us, and stay at a park for £262. We have £200 worth of deal vouchers, so we could have a holiday in Spain for £250! Wicked!

andiem · 19/05/2008 13:18

afternoon all

jammy hope you feel better soon

ria your poor dh

I am doing the bf wind down now as well
he has a feed am and pm a couple in the night and a drink of cow's milk in the afternoon tbh I want to stop now feel like I have done my bit no bottles though we went straight onto a cup at 6 months for water but it is like the end of them being a baby

holly holiday deal sounds fab

am vv excited as have just booked to go to new york with dh in november got the airfare on airmiles and he will be able to get accomodation through work just the two of us away hee hee my mum is having dcs

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/05/2008 13:19

Hi Holly.

Holiday sounds nice. We have decided to stay at home instead of going away in June. Am a little but will be nice not to have to do all the washing, packing, organising before we go and then all the unpacking & washing when we get back And the money we save can go towards doing more with our autumn break, so that's good. Must get passports sorted though.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/05/2008 13:21

Hi Andiem. Am of New York. Went there with DH Jan 2006 and it was fab. I'd love to go again, DH not quite so taken though.

And Ria, sorry I keep forgetting to say hope your DH is better soon. Bummer being ill on first day though.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/05/2008 13:24

Have just realised Siblu is Haven, Haven is my idea of hell, so maybe I shall look elsewhere!!

No bf winding down here, ds is still on 6-8 feeds a day at least! He is soooo different to dd. By this stage dd was on 2 feeds a day, one early morning and one in bed at night. She wasn't really interested anymore, so we stopped at 14 months. I think ds is going to be still feeding at 3, he is a real boob man! I'm just going to carry on until we are both ready to stop, whether that be 18 months or 4!

I have just taken delivery of another pushchair! That takes the total number of pushchairs in my house to 7!

LittleMissNorty · 19/05/2008 13:32

Hi everyone .... not quite on no bottles....just the night-time one atm, so I threw out all but 2 of the yesterday...would love to get rid though (and the dummy)....but both are only used for sleep now really, so can't complain too much.

its lovely and peaceful here atm.....DH at work....DD upstairs asleep.....cat upstairs asleep and dog out for a walk....si I'm eating lunch without an audience

New York is FAB ....I went yonks ago though - when twin towers were still standing....

Seansgirlthesequel · 19/05/2008 13:47

Hi everyone, its hard work catching up on everything, must try and keep up!
Still on 2 bottles a day 1 first thing and 1 last thing am looking forward to switching from formula though, and have tried to ditch the bottles a couple of times but DS not interested unless its in the same old MAM bottle! But hey! No sterilising to look forward to! hooray!!!

Very of productive days. I seem to have got nowhere today and will have to get DD in just over an hour! This is not a good start to the week really as have to wash, iron, pack, organise ready for holiday on Saturday morning we are off to sunny Woolacombe!!! My DM very unfairly has gone off on hols this morning so no childcare at all this week ! Just hope DS has got over his original dislike of beaches we went to st ives in oct and he hated the beach just screamed and screamed!

andiem · 19/05/2008 13:49

hope the weather improves sg we are off to greece on sat for half trem

Seansgirlthesequel · 19/05/2008 13:51

Seansgirlthesequel · 19/05/2008 13:52
