Here we go. I was too sick, sleepy and preoccupied with my weight to notice the old thread running out

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 18/05/2008 07:42

I hadn't thought of that, but it's such a small amount that I wouldn't worry.

lackaDAISYcal · 18/05/2008 20:38

andiem, that would be fab, if you're sure it isn't a problem

Date wise, anything suits me really, except the week beginning Mon 28th July as that's when we are in Staithes.

Jammy, we're off to Hemsby on the 27th June for three nights. Although reading some reviews of the place I'm having some doubts, but we will only use ot as a place to rest our weary heads and be out and about in the day. As long as it's clean and warm, although the clean might be an issue apparently

Had a busy day today. A friend came round with his two DCs and the men and kids spent the day in the garden building a dry-stone wall with some big slabs in top for use as seating, and dismantling an existing stone seat as that's where we want to put the BBQ. they worked bloody hard and the end result looks fab. I'm going to get some wee alpines to fill the cracks in the wall, and some creeoing time and stuff. slowly it's starting to come together...now we just need to tackle the dandelions and buttercups and ivy that are everywhere. DFs wife came over and had tea with us when they were done (she was studying all day for her accountancy exams that are this week)

I was trying desperately to make the house presentable for my visitors who are arriving on Tuesday evening. I've still got a couple of days so that's good as it's no-where near ready.

Jammy, glad the wedding was good and that DD was the belle of the ball. I'm lolling at her Norwich pamjams though

hi to everyone else

lackaDAISYcal · 18/05/2008 20:41

trace, that's great that Chloe is getting mobile. She sounds like such a strong spirited wee girl. I can't wait to meet her

We're free the Thursday and Friday of the school week if you fancy meeting up? Cannon Hall Farm looks great; I had a look at the website.

foxythesnowfox · 18/05/2008 21:11

hullo.

3rd Aug - 23rd Aug good for me

I reckon Fury would be up for a meeting too. We could do Richmond Park, Kew Gardens ....

am meant to be doing supermarket shop now

Hi Trace, good to hear Chloe is a happy wee thing. I guess her progress isn't as you would hope it would be ideally, but she is making progress. And she's happy, and that's what we want for all our babies, huh?

how's Daisy? How's Andiem? Anyone else lurking? Fury - where are you?

andiem · 18/05/2008 21:12

ooh x post foxy will have to be w/beginning 18th august methinks

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:22

Hi all. It's been a lovely day again.

Cab I have the car boot sale bargain queen crown this week please? I spent a small fortune, but so many bargains...

glad the communion went well.

glad chloe is making progress, however small trace. So glad she is a happy baby too, that's the best kind

I am so tired tonight - dratted bargain hunting, so draining when it's not virtual

andiem · 18/05/2008 21:25

what did you buy ria
and how is the garlic?

lackaDAISYcal · 18/05/2008 21:33

week beginning 18th August is great for me, as that's when I was looking to book anyway, but am flexible re dates.

DS is desperate to go to the Natural Histiry Museum, although I realise this will have limited appeal to the babies

hey foxy and Ria. I'm good thanks; tired after keeping a constant supply of tea, coffee, bacon butties, ham sarnies, juice and biscuits going all day and then cooking tea for four adults and four DCs, as well as doing lots of sorting out upstairs, but DD and I had a lovely day pottering around in the house. She is fascinated by the contents of my make-up drawers, and was desperate to get her mitts in them.

She stood up alone, no holding onto anything, for about 10 seconds earlier and looked like she was going to take a step, but chickened out at the last minute. She did look very pleased with herself though.

foxythesnowfox · 18/05/2008 21:37

The Science Museum is next door, and they have lots of multi-sensory things there in The Garden (I think its called). If you pick the bits you want to do (I'm guessing the dinosaurs and space rockets) you can do both easily.

Sputnik · 18/05/2008 21:40

Yes, give us the low down on your bargains Ria. Speaking of which, where is Holly these days?

Trace, good to hear Chloe is making progress, do you still have to watch her all the time or can you relax a bit more these days?

Unbelievable they're nearly 1 isn't it!

Baby Sputnik has something up, high fever on and off, thnk it's either DDs throat thing or ears, so off to docs again tomorrow. Last night was really bad, he only went to sleep finally after we got out the nurofen.

it's a bit scary when they do that daisy. baggins has just started (he mainly does it near my mum to get her nerves going). I managed to get a sort video of him tonight, pushing the walker across the room.

I bought LOADS. A little tykes tunnel type thing for baggins for £2, DS2 got a pirate dress up and some armour for £1.50, DS1 is chuffed to bits cos he got a legoland shield and some cricket whites (how wide the spectrum of their interests), a cat flap for £1, a new cordless phone for £2, 3 tshirts and a gorgeous evans cardigan for me for £6.50, a pond pump for DHs water feature for £5 and my bargain of the day was a box of clothes for DS2 for £3 (Iwas only looking at a shirt, but she offered us the box as it was nearly time to pack up) there are 11 pairs of trousers and 8/9 tops+. Am well chuffed. Of course all the rest of the car boots I go to this year will be crap now. I nearly bought another pushchair

Sorry, I am a carbootsale bore

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:44

It apppears I have something of a 2nd hand junk shopping problem

sorry baby sputnik is poorly.

andiem · 18/05/2008 21:46

lordy ria I thought I was a shopper but even I couldn't mange that much in one go

andiem · 18/05/2008 21:47

sputnik hope baby sputnik is better soon we had high temp here on fri night no reason found

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:50

I wouldn't do that in proper shops where you have to pay real money. I only spent about £25. And I don;t have to go to next for DS2s christening outfit now cos there is something perfect in the box. I will have to spend the rest of the week sorting his drawers and wardrobes!

We did go to two different sales if that makes it any better

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/05/2008 21:51

Cooo-eeee!

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:51

HOLLY!

where the hell have you been? We've missed you!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/05/2008 21:53

I've been SERIOUSLY busy! How the devil are you?

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:54

sorry andiem, the garlic is great thanks, though DS2 and his bloody little friend trampled on it, so it moght be a bit sick til next year. I am hoping it will eventually spread to fill the whole of the back of the bed where I planted it. Thank you again.

Sputnik · 18/05/2008 21:55

Ha, speak of the devil
Or were you lurking just waiting for us to miss you?

RiaButterflew · 18/05/2008 21:55

I'm good thanks. Hows DD and DS? Has DD had her birthday yet? (it's around now isn't it?)
