LOL Elkie

Sexonlegs · 18/04/2008 21:26

Dippy, pmsl at Stretch or Starve! Wonderful!

Elkie, what a pita re your oyster card.I guess it isn't something you can cancel.

SPB, hope T goes down for you and you can relax.

Leaky, best of luck with everything over the next few weeks. xx

All ok here.

B came home at 5.00 and it was just lovely. I heard a noise that I thought was dh dropping something. I called out to see if he was ok - no response. I came out to the hall and B was just stood there. We just hugged each other for ages and I cried .
She has said her room is fab, but had a few complaints! Typical B really. She stayed up a bit for chinese takeaway with us and the inlaws and they have just headed off exhausted!

How is everyone else tonight?

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 21:32

Oh SOL your post has made me cry. Glad she is home! Hope time away has been good for you both
Wow Dippy you are braver than me! I definitely still feed yoghurt and porridge but obviously just give him everything else. It would annoy me if I thought the nursery were feeding him, as it would frustrate him so much!

Oh SPB, sorry to make you cry. It was very emotional seeing her again. I am really hoping that this time apart will mean a fresh start for us and we can enjoy each other again.

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 21:38

cry in a nice way! Am feeling very emotional again (seems like that's the way it is at the moment) we left him crying again, exhaustion and frustration on our part mainly and he very quickly went quiet, He;s not asleep though The thought of him sitting there in the dark, awake, makes me cry (as well, I'll add it to the list)

Sexonlegs · 18/04/2008 21:42

SPB, it is so incredibly tough isn't it. I know this is going to sound patronising, and I apologise in advance, but you have done your bit - loved him, fed him, bathed him, fed him more, loved him more. Going to bed/sleep is T's job. He won't hold it against you I promise.

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 21:49

He is asleep now!
I know you're right, and never thought I'd be complaining that he isn't crying! I suppose as they get older they are able to tolerate actually being awake but n cot and going to sleep?

Sexonlegs · 18/04/2008 22:04

Fab, so you can sit and relax and have a glass of wine

I have been lucky. K just takes herself off to sleep. I remember with B that we used to rock her to sleep until she was probably 6 months - rod for own back!

From day 1 with K, she has been put in her cot and left to get on with it . So far so good!

Sexonlegs · 18/04/2008 22:06

Talking to myself now! Going to bed as am shattered.

Sleep well SPB and everyone else of course xx

Morning!

Happy Birthday Fraser

POTC, I have just read the article online too- fabulous! Congrats to you

How is everyone?

The love affair of B being home is over!! Actually it isn't that bad, but there is going to have to be a lot of re-learning that K lives here and B cannot have her own way. She loves K to bits, but doesn't like not being the centre of attention as she has been for the past week with the in-laws. Inevitable I know, but such hard work for us.

Anyway, dh is dealing with it cos I am off to the hairdressers!!!!! [evil cackle]!

weeonion · 19/04/2008 10:40
