Thanks for asking SOL
You understand that I am just telling you the FACTS, because any more would jinx it
He has not been sick since Wednesday
He has had far fewer diarrhoea-ey nappies, his last one was this morning, and was much better than before.
so....

Ahh Zazas - I have just been looking at your lovely pictures! I love the one of S on the sledge.

Happy Birthday Torrin!

Great to see that Bubbaloo popped in yesterday.

Right, off to check my emails and see to my tip of a house. Went into town yesterday to go to the bank and when I got there I had forgotten the paying in book, then I forgot it today as well [slaps hand onto forehead in dismay at stupidness emoticon!]. Will just have to tell DH that I am off into town in the morning - might even pop into a couple of shops as well!! Actually, talking of shops, I went into Oxfam on Thurs and came out with 1 pair of white cotton trousers, one indiany style top, 1 cardigan, 1 jumper, and 1 fake-suede coat - all for £25!! Hurrah!!

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 16:16

so instead of paying money in you are spending it?

Me again! Nice afternoon at BFs, feeling a bit more for the 1st time in aaaaagggges, which is good.

What has everyone else been up to?

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 17:38

good to hear that Dippy!
Very little here, apart from carting little pots of wee round. Surgery rang and said T's sample had been contaminated and we had to repeat it. SO I stood him in the bath with the pot held under him - he found it hilarious!

Glad T is a bit better today SPB

leakyR · 18/04/2008 18:11

Good to see Bubbaloo and Zazas again.

Glad T is a bit better SPB.

Also very pleased to hear that Dippy is feeling brighter today.

Have been sickening people at work all day with my HUGE "I'm escaping!" grin Now just have the big clear out to contend with at the weekend.

G's last day at nursery today they have been lovely with him and they made him a big goodbye card with paintings by his little friends. Thankfully the new nursery in Bury is just as nice we have settling in sessions next week.

Not sure if I'll be on much in the next week or so. Will have LOTS to do and might take a few days to get broadband etc sorted out.
However I'm sure I'll want to skive have a break from sorting stuff out at the weekend, before we have to pack the computer

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2008 19:03

Hope it all goes really well Leaky xxxxx

oooggs · 18/04/2008 19:26

I'm ok katy - just a bit bunged up and tired - how about you?

wow leaky - how exciting

Doobydoo · 18/04/2008 20:11

Hi All.Hop everyone is ok[ish] today.Feel knackered.Cleaned, cooked, cleaned, cooked[you get the gist]
M inbed being whingy.
Am probably going to dye my hair.I let the dye fade to see how much grey I have[eeek]so will definitely do it this weekend.A vain attempt/drop in the ocean.I need a thorough over haul
Is baby led weaning when we bung stuff out for them to pick up themselves?I know I should find a thread that explains it,but am asking you lotM likes eating books, very little nutritional value I would imagine.

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2008 20:25

Yup, that's baby led weaning. P loves books too, anything papery actually ....

elkiedee · 18/04/2008 20:26

Leaky, hope the packing goes ok.

Happy birthday Torrin.

Glad to hear Dippy and SPB's T are feeling a little better, touch wood. Sorry to hear Eddas that you're having such a frustrating time.

Hi to everyone else, sorry for not catching up on everything individually.

I'm kicking myself because I lost an Oyster Card (for public transport in London which I'd just topped up, so it would have had £29 worth of credit on it. I ran back up to my office really hoping I could have somehow left it on my desk as well. Then even the ticket MACHINES had queues - the ones were working. The first one I queued for wouldn't even sell me what I needed and I had to join another queue. It's just as well D's lovely CM is so nice - she was cool about it (I phoned and spoke to her daughter and we're pretty good about picking up on time normally). Fares for single non-Oyster tickets here have been increased from expensive to lethal as well - £4!!!!! I'm terrible for losing things but managed for years not to lose Travelcards, then this is the 2nd in under 5 months, I'm an idiot!

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2008 20:29

Not an idiot ... just a mother .... it happens!! xx

StealthPolarBear · 18/04/2008 20:31

oh no elkie!
Want to go to bed, T will not be put down
I had a question about BLW as well - if you give finger food, but aren't doing BLW, do you feed them it? JUst wondering what his nursery are doing

OP posts:
elkiedee · 18/04/2008 20:40

I feed D our junk mail, though not the election propaganda that's coming through at the moment (don't want him swallowing some of that rubbish!)

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2008 20:40

Poor you Katy, hope he settles soon. xx P is ost defnitely at the stage where I just chuck finger food on her tray and she munches it up, all by her own. I rarely feed her at all now, occasionally cereal (Weetabix etc) and yogurts; but she even (just about) manages to do those herself now .... It is very SOS in my household!!

Stretch or Starve!!
