I'm having a baby

MW listened for baby's heartbeat and found it . tis official and not just too many pies

andiem · 08/04/2008 15:49

fantastic news daisy so happy for you

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 16:14

daisy. That must be a massive relief after the scan.

bollocky poo - the stitching on DS1s new school shoes is coming unstitched, after the second day on. Will have to write to school so he can wear something other than school shoes (no trainers for H&S reasons), ring the shop to complain, then go to York again if they will replace them.

And I am being charged for late payment to La Redoute when I know damned well I paid on time and I can't find the fecking receipt.

ARSE.

That's great news Daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/04/2008 18:00

Daisy (apart from the bed bit of course)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/04/2008 18:09

And great news on the flat, Andiem

foxythesnowman · 08/04/2008 18:46

Woooo-hoooo Daisy's having a baby !!!!

Ria. bank statement as p.o.p?

hi all, just back from swimming, teatime, back later

lilQuidditchKel · 08/04/2008 19:36

OK i know i was MIA for ages - something about having 2 LOs under 2 seems to propel one into a time-space vacuum - but Daisy is the first we've heard of you being pg?????

WOW! Congratulations!!!!!! Going for number three too!!! Brave woman!!!

I am so undecided myself about whether I'll ever be able to withstand the stress of another child that I could literally go on for years about the pros & cons. Meantime all my baby stuff (both blue and pink - masses of it ) is packed up in storage. Just in case.

What was it that triggered you to go for 3? {and i don't mean the obvious 'trigger'!}

lackaDAISYcal · 08/04/2008 19:44

nothing triggered us going for 3 lilkel. It wasn't exactly planned, but we took a hastily calculated risk based on being 2 weeks into a 7 week cycle (as it had been since DD was 9 weeks old).....I ovulated the very next day...oops . I keep telling DH "you should've let me have a dog" . He's still getting used to the idea and will be booking in for the snip as soon as I'm out of the delivery suite I think

DHs lovely friend and his flatmate came over this afternoon and not only took my new bed upstairs, but unpacked it, put the legs on and set it up for me. So, it'll be an early night for me tonight

foxy, how's DD?

lackaDAISYcal · 08/04/2008 19:45

and i spilled the beans on here that I though I might be pg, and then that I was almost before I'd confirmed our worst fears to DH!

DS is shouting on me...gotta go!

lilQuidditchKel · 08/04/2008 19:53

all ends well then Daisy - glad you have a decent place to sleep

It was funny, you know, when I read your earlier posts I thought 'goodness it sounds like she's as upset as a hormonal pg woman, and rightly so as well!' --- and here you were pg!

ooh I just love babies - can't wait to hear all about it and perhaps live out a vicarious 3rd pg through you, Daisy...

had a playdate at ours today, and one of my friends brought her brand new (10 days old!) wee baby girl over ... oh my God I was just melting....!!!

foxythesnowman · 08/04/2008 20:20

I know what you mean Lilkel, newborns have that affect on me ...

Thanks Daisy, DD is much better. Laughing and giggling again

Glad you got your bed sorted too! Ikea delivery people are right old miseries IME!

justbeme · 08/04/2008 20:23

Ahh Congrats Daisy! - What did I miss about the scan? (or is it cos you havent had one yet?)

Congrats to Andiem too! ( Lucky so and so!)

and Naughty Naughty to Fury!!! - I used to be able to flirt via emails, but alas I don't think I'd be capable of it now!!

One very snotty baby here today! Snail trails.........

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 20:30

thanks foxy. Glad your DD is better.

I am pleased the friend had a flatmate daisy. I would have been very cross if you'd helped

I am bored again tonight. DH watching Ergon, cos stupidly I suggested taping it for DS and we haven't got our sky+ box yet.

Hi jammy.

Lilkel, MHC reminded me we used to have a dreamcatcher for DS1 too (make a big thing of shaking it out of the window in the morning, although maybe your DS isn't quite old enough for that yet?). He has worry dolls under his pillow now, and one of those polished crystal/stone thingies. That is for his ansxiety/temper.frustration etc, but obviously he is a lot older.

Hi all,

Just popping in. RL is catching up on me, back at work and my dad is down for a few days.

Work is going ok, but I am missing the freedom do stuff like watch trashy TV and go shopping (my mum was burgled at the weekend, they stole all her jewellery, so I wanted to get a token gift to send her but will have to wait till thursday before I can go shopping).

Weird thing at work too. I discovered a mnetter who works in my company, just by seeing her posts around the time of the floods and seeing her mention things that only I would notice. Anyway I've been stalking her round the boards a little bit and she figured out who I was and today she emailed me so we are meeting next week. it's very exciting. she is very funny.

sorry I haven't been keeping up. MHC I'm sorry I didn't get to reply to your thread. I know what it is like to have a funny relationship with your mum.

Foxy, well done on the cycling. Did you resolve your problem?

Lilkel how's your DS's speech coming along?

Norty, I take it nothing came of the x ray on DD?

Fury, you bad girl! FWIW I always like to have a crush on someone at work, it makes the time pass quicker! No-one at the moment though...

HellHathNoFury · 08/04/2008 20:56

Ahh bumper your poor mum!

Glad work is ok though.

Yeah I am really naughty. Can't help it, I am loving the flattery and attention
I feel attractive again!
He doesn't know I am a mum

HellHathNoFury · 08/04/2008 21:02

I do love a good office flirtation.
Clearly..
given I met both my husbands at work, and prior to that my last 8 boyfriends I met at work...

God just realised I sound really pathetic lol

justbeme · 08/04/2008 21:02

Oh how horrible Bumper for your Mum.

A little flirting here and there is fine Fury, specially if it makes you feel good!

Now, cant remember if I said this before - but an old friend told me that a girl we used to go to school with is married to someone really famous - but she wont tell me who!! - apparently she's in the secret service or something, so who could it be???? I tried Alastair Darling - no, Im not very good with names - all I know is that they have 1 child and live in London - not very helpful is it!!! Shes 40 - so he could be 30-50!!. I hate being left in suspence!! Any ideas?

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 21:10

and for your mum bumper, hope she's ok.

is this the first time your dad has seen DD? hoe does he like being grandpa? (DH is relieved because DSD doesn't want kids, just horses, and she told him it isn't likely anyway cos she isn't getting any)

OP posts:
RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 21:16

flirting... what was that?
Good for you fury. (BTW, not nearly as pathetic as all oyfriends between ages 15-17 being from YF, and 4 of them being related) How glad I am I met DH!!!

My posts are taking ages because I'm loading photos of DS1 onto facebook - two of my RL FB friends being staff at his nursery when he was tiny).

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 08/04/2008 21:18

lilkel, I meant to say that DS used to get really bad night terrors. They started at around 2 and went on until he was nearly four, but not every night. It's quite common though and will pass. We were convinced they coincided with his growth spurts as he would get a cluster of them around the time he'd shoot up. I think it's just overactive metabolism.

that's awful for your mum bumper. i hope she is feeling OK after it. burglary can make you feel really uncomfortable in your own home.

fury, you are a naughty lady . I always avoided relationships at work; fear of them backfiring mostly, but I have had the odd crush and flirtation that nearly, but never quite, went anywhere (pre DH days of course). I did go out with a couple of the regulars who drank in the bar where I worked though; but not at the same time . And I sort of met DH as a result of that as his BF from school (one of the regulars) and I were shag buddies for a good few months

gld DD is perkier foxy.

jbm i had a private scan at six weeks, but it was pretty inconclusive and we didn't see as much as we did at the same stage as with DD so I was a bit paranoid about things being wrong. Told DS that there is definately a baby in there (we'd only said that there might be and that it was a big IF). He is over the moon and desperately, fervently, down on his knees praying for a brother.

told mw I want a VBA2C.....some fell on stony ground! she tried to tell me that the hospital wouldn't let me, to which I had to counter that they couldn't actually make me have another c-section. she conceded that no they couldn't, but huffed and puffed about it for ages.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/04/2008 21:20

jbm...we need more than that!

bumper, hope you have a nice time with your dad. you'll need to visit him soon so that we can meet up again
