lol holly, me too

The skirt is a below the bump affai, so am worried about my wobbly bits with anything too clingy. I'm at the just looking fat stage rather than looking pregnant. Mind you, if I had a bump band on as well it might help. I have a pair of lovely cream shoes and a cream bag as well so that would complete that look. It's ealry May so the weather should be alright.

But an outfit for $41 isn't three bad now is it?

Ria, I'm sorry I never mentioned your crappy day earlier . I hope you are chilling with a nice glass of white wine. Good luck for the trial though. I think cleaning caravans might be alright....nice and small so you'd whizz round really quickly

Morning

Andie - That dress is lovely! I get a lot of stuff from joules for riding in (polo tops and jackets etc) I didn't realise they did such nice dresses! I have been invited to a christening on the 27th this month - need to get something to wear for that also!!

MHC - you've got chickens - brilliant! How can you discourage foxes from coming into your garden? Without the use of a shotgun!? Bloody hate foxes I do!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/04/2008 09:13

DKMA and Andiem - those dresses are both lovely. I don't think either of them would suit me unfortunately

Let us know how things go with the chickens - we've talked about having some, but decided it probably wasn't a great idea. But it's obviously relatively common, as twice last week while out walking with the jamlet I heard roosters crowing, and they were in different parts of town, so it wasn't that I heard the same one twice.

Feeling fab at the moment - just been for a swim for the first time in ages. Went thinking I'd aim for 20 lengths, and the 1st 12 were hard, but after that I really got into my stride (or should that be stroke) and ended up doing 32 lengths Still a way to go though - pre-pregnancy I would regularly do 60 lengths without any bother and one day managed 90.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/04/2008 09:14

And by common I meant frequently occuring not common!

andiem · 13/04/2008 09:19

well done jammy I usually only manage 20
need to hop in the shower have to take dcs to meet in laws as dh is away fil is a right pita and very disapproving of everything no doubt I will get lots of earache about the flat

LOL MHC!

I too have lived in the countryside too long!

Lo has just woken up from his nap - back later!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/04/2008 10:37

Bumper Did you know that there's a road in Chippenham called Bumpers Way?

Foxy Hope you are having a fantastic day!!!!!

Bumperlicious · 13/04/2008 10:50

LOL jammy! I shall have to visit one day.

I farking wish DH would wake up. I know I shouldn't be too cross as he got up with DD last night but we have one day off together, he is going to watch the footie later (admittedly on my insistence) but I am fecked off with running around after DD, she is miserable because of her cold and has napped for about 20 mins when the last 2 mornings it was 2 hours. He'll just say "well you should have woken me up" but then I look like to bad one who isn't coping. he should just know to get up himself and come and give me a break like he is getting this afternoon.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/04/2008 11:24

Yes I wish men (to be totally generalising here for a moment ) would offer sometimes, rather than waiting to be asked

RiaisMaLarkin · 13/04/2008 11:24

I'm with you bumper, DH had a lie in until he went out this morning, and told the kids off for being naughty while he was lie-ing in. I have been struggling to deal with them, the laundry (and now it's fecking raining, but it canjust get wet), baking fruit, chees and devonshire scones, chocolate flapjack, chocolate birthday cake and packet mixes of dalek biscuits and bob the builder buns with the boys. (My sis and DN&N are coming to play and have a party tea this afternoon). Baggins wouldn't go to sleep and I still have to tidy, clean the bathroom and have a shower, not to mention the fecking washing up. It wasn't even my turn to get up. ARSE. (He is not going to become a lazy Onslo type, I'll kill him first).

There are some lovely dresses on this thread today. I think christenings should be pretty informal but DH got bollocked by his dad for not wearing a tie. We are a very informal family on my side.

Clarkson has a really funny article anout chickens and shooting foxes in one of his books

Must go for now, back later.

foxythesnowfox · 13/04/2008 11:35

DP got the lie-in here too

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/04/2008 11:51

That sucks Foxy!

DKMA · 13/04/2008 12:31

Happy Birthday Foxy!

lackaDAISYcal · 13/04/2008 12:56

For foxy have a great day

andie that dress is lovely. That's anew website to me, looks like nice stuff!

mhc, is formes stuff OK for pumpkin-shaped (note not apple) short-arses?
I'm of your chickens too. We would love to get some here, and I'm trying to convince DH that we need an egglu. DD hates eggs though, so we don't eat as many as we used to. I made eggy bread yesterday in the hope that she would be fooled by it....she's far too smart for that. She just will not eat egg in any form.

I've ordered a skirt and a camisole from crave maternity. I just need some kind of wrap top or nice cardi to go over the top now.....preferably one long enough to cover my lumpy bits.

jammy, am impressed with your swimming. I like swimming, but I'm not a great swimmer, my maximum is about 20 lengths. DD and I are going to Waterbabies on Monday, if her tum is better by then. She had had diahorrea all morning and is a bit flat.

I got an unrequested lie in this morning, but I was up twice in the night with DD. Am also having a duvet day as I feel a bit bleargh. DH is making lunch at the moment and he's going to do roast dinner as well. I love that man

lackaDAISYcal · 13/04/2008 12:57

and andie, my friend had chickens and cats at the same time. The cats were a bit scared of them and stayed away!

Bumperlicious · 13/04/2008 13:10

Foxy, no lie in on your birthday?! I hope he has bought you a very expensive present!

DH has redeemed himself by taking dd out for a couple of hours so I have lots of trashy mags ( but first time I have bought them in about a year) and am going to have a bath.

lackaDAISYcal · 13/04/2008 13:55

DH has taken the DCs to the park so I have a few peaceful hours. It's very strange....and I'm wondering why I'm still watching fishing programmes on Discovery Real Time

Sputnik · 13/04/2008 14:23

Happy birthday Foxy

foxythesnowfox · 13/04/2008 14:55

Thanks everyone!

Just got in from lunch. Peoples reactions when we enter a restaurant ar emuch the same as on boarding a plane horrified! Am proud my chilren did us proud and behaved beautifully.

We had a row because he didn't get up. (Why didn't you get me up?" "Because you should have been up!" kind of thing. I had already emptyied the bin, unloaded dishwasher, fed kids, that sort of thing. I am such a martyr

He bought me some much needed ghd hairstraightners. And a Dolly Parton CD. I am going to see her live in July, and I am SO excited. We are havng a quiet day, just want to hang out and cuddle my lovely children
