DKMA, I messaged you on facebook. I might be joining your world. Well, part of the country anyway!

foxythesnowfox · 09/04/2008 21:02

I need to apply myself to watching The Apprentice and shouting at Jenny. Night

DKMA · 09/04/2008 21:03

Foxy - I have replied already - and am a little bit excited!!

DKMA · 09/04/2008 21:04

RiaisMaLarkin · 09/04/2008 21:17

ah, the Top Gear chaps, thanks sputnik.

sorry to hear of your poorlinesses DKMA.

sorry for being thick but what do you mean by Cod daisy?

Had delish chinese (though they sent the wrong thing for DS1 but he had chicken satay starter and chicken fried rice, so he didn't starve). And I have what's left for tomorrow. Yippeeeeeeeeeee!

DS1 loved his telescope thanks for asking, and I wrapped it in bits of birthday paper stuck together - it wouldn't have won a "best wrapped prezzie" award. But he didn't care. Do Woolworths/HMV sell posters?

Well you were a chatty lot yesterday afternoon & evening. (Loved your first attempt at saying it Ria but glad you put in a translation, my brain was overheating trying to work it out)

Had a good 1st day with the inlaws. They enjoyed having time with the jamlet. MIL sat and watched her have tea and helped with bathtime which was nice. And they read her stories and stuff which helped her get used to them.

Trace, good news that Chloe's sitting, hope she straightens up soon, and that things ease off for you all.
The jamlet can sit very well, can "stand" for a couple of minutes if you support her round the waist, if you lie her down she can roll all around, or if she's on her tummy she can wriggle backwards, but no real crawling yet. Still not a lot of hair but improving, no teeth but plenty of signs of teething for ages (wouldn't be surprised if they all come through at once!)

Anyway, will be busy with inlaws all day, and off out tonight, so have lovely days y'all and I'll check in tomorrow morning to say whether top swank is worth £95 a head!

andiem · 10/04/2008 08:22

morning everyone

trace great news about chloe sitting hope they can find out if she is coeliac or not you guys have been through so much

jammy glad jamlet is enjoying the in laws

we have 5 teeth here commando crawling bit of pulling up and lots of shouting

am looking after friends dd for 2 days now and cat has to go to the vets to be dematted as she has stopped grooming better go back later

RiaisMaLarkin · 10/04/2008 09:18

morning. Another boring day here - I have appt with CPN this morning that I'd forgotten about. I haven't read any of the books she suggested either.

At least I have left-over chinese to look forward to, and the house is reasonably tidy in most places.

And it's nice weather so might get some laundry done.

How exciting.

I thought of loads more men last night, but I've forgotten who.

Enjoy your re-mortgage dinner jammy. I hope it's as good as it should be. (I would be pmsl thinking about Lenny Henry all the time because I think that's where that Chef! series was based on.)

andiem · 10/04/2008 10:10

ria I would rather chinese than cat dematting any day

jammy enjoy your lovely meal

RiaisMaLarkin · 10/04/2008 11:32

Do you have friends DD overnight too andiem?

How do they demat cats? there was one down the road from us had a squaddie cut cos it was matted. Thatnk goodness our cat is short-haired.

I am off to be yr4 dinner lady soon so just having a sandwich so I aren't tempted to steal their lunch!

not overhight ria just today and tomorrow I look after her a lot in the hols as friend is now on her own (arse of a dh who walked out)

I think the cat will just get combed if not they will have to shave her

enjoy lunchtime

HellHathNoFury · 10/04/2008 12:35

afternoon all

I am hungover after going out on the piss last night with buddies from work... told DH I'd be home by 7.30 but crawled in closer to 11. oops.

Am bad mother. Haven't seen DS in 2 days as I leave before he wakes up and lately am home after he's asleep.

Apparently he is walking a bit now though, can take a few wobbly steps on his own.

Hi all

Sorry I haven't been around much. My dad has just left and I have been at work all week so feel bad if I spend all evening on mnet when DH has been home all day.

He is doing really well though he is realising how knackering it is being at home with DD all day and is gagging for a break by the time I get home.

I haven't caught up much though I did see that you were listing men you fancy. I have loads! Ria I'm glad Nick Knowles was on your list too !

Fury sounds like you have been having a bit of a non-baby life you lucky thing!

I have just signed up for a burlesque workshop...

HellHathNoFury · 10/04/2008 12:54

woohoo Bumper you dita von teese you!

MHC no idea if he's the first, I think Fairy's DS was??
Not sure. But then he has literally only got first tooth and doesn't do stuff/talk like Foxy's and Daisy's LO's so it's all swings and roundabouts hey.

Bumper my non-baby life has really taken over, I haven't done any motherly duties in days, save doing a load of washing a few days ago. I have been caught up in finances/tax issues/boozing/working

Poor DH

it's ok. He is 'busy' though. What kind of excuse is that!?

It's annoying, he's really deidicated to his job. I need to find another slacker.

I reckon as long as they are walking, sitting and talking by 5 it's all good ;-)

HellHathNoFury · 10/04/2008 13:17

MHC, no chance of a babysitter and going out with DH?

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 13:20

lol bumper....good for you. It's taken fecking months here, but DD finally squeals and growls in the right places when i sing Row row the boat! Your poor DH though....not . At least he realises now just how difficult it is being a SAHP.

fury, i honestly don't know how you do it; I would be waking the DCs up when I got home so I could have a cuddle!

went to see the practice nurse to get my booking bloods done today as the MW couldn't get any blood from me on Tuesday. I now have four puncture wounds and a fecking great bruise on both arms and one wrist .......I'm so mean I won't give anything away

morning sickness has kicked in with a vengeance. DD hasn't had a BF for two days so I think that is why. Am considering keeping on feeding her just to keep the sickness at bay! Still, I've discovered pickled sushi ginger; satisfies my vinegar craving and helps with the nausea!

right-ho, lunchtime
