Pillock, when will you be in the Telegraph? Not a paper I would usually buy, but would make an exception!

Morning Octo Hope your busy day is not too stressful! The reason I say that is because mine normally are!

CaptainDippy · 07/04/2008 12:17

Only just managed to get on - Intrnet is total crap and have had soooo much work to dooooooo ..... anyway P is awake now so time to go again ..... deary me!!

Anyway - Happy birthday to whoever's Birthday it is today and hello!

CaptainDippy · 07/04/2008 12:26

Thinking and Praying Leaky. xxxxxxxxxx

NorthernLurker · 07/04/2008 12:28

POTC - I get the Telegraph - will be looking out for you!

Leaky - sounds like a busy weekend. Sorry to hear about your grandfather - hope you get some better news there soon. Lovely to hear Eva is doing well though

Mammyjo - didn't your GP suggest you try any other pop? I've always been ok with mine - called norgestron or something like that. It is a take in the same three hour window one though - don't you get 12 hours with Cerazette?

B and I have been into town this morning for a few bits and to the library. I've got yeast etc and am contemplating making buns later - domestic goddess that I am Gilrs back to school today - think they've got everything! Next week they've both got a school trip to London! Reassure me London and the South in general is not full of raving maniacs with evil schemes to snaffle an trip full of schoolchildren from the forzen North?

StealthPolarBear · 07/04/2008 12:36

hi everyone
Happy Birthday Theo and Jesse
just popping in on lunchbreak
wo, just read your thread, no advice, sorry but so angry on your behalf. Can't believe it has got this bad

mammyjo · 07/04/2008 12:46

NL, I have started Micronor instead. She said that the side effects of that one are less than Cerazette. You are right about the 12 hour window though, but tbh I am pretty good at taking it on time so hoping that will not be an issue.

Happy Birthday Jesse and Theo! Thanks SPB, I have looked for the stats thread and couldn't find it so was waiting for someone else to jump in there first!

WO, I am going to look for your thread as I have no idea what has been happening and I am nosey.

NorthernLurker · 07/04/2008 12:50

I've always been ok with the 3 hour thing - I take it at bedtime as I do go to bed at much the same time day in, day out - but getting up varies

SPB - first day back? Good luck!!!

Hi SOL

Happy birthday Theo and Jesse - thank goodness SPB's got her mind on the thread job

mamiguay · 07/04/2008 13:12

Hello! So weird being without internet at home, miss you lot but in general it probably isn't a bad thing re. sitting in active convos for ages killing time..

Can't believe you are all having such cold weather! We're visiting my sister for a couple of nights this week in London and Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Going to be a shock to the system, that. I think we have a snowsuit N might fit still but is it THAT cold or will jumpers and jacket (plus buggysnuggle and windcover) do the job?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the 1 year olds I've missed, hope you all had lovely special days.

Leaky, it sounds like a lovely plan to be with your friends today, hope it puts some balm on the hurt. Sorry for your grandad too, fingers crossed for him.

WO - sorry you are still suffering with PND, I can't believe your work is making it so hard for you, as if you need all this stress on top!

Sorry for no more personals but really busy at work and lots to get done before my long weekend so better go look busy!

x

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THEO

Happy first birthday to my darling precious boy Theo xxxx

Hip hip hurray he's one today ! Can't help but feeling slightly sad at the thought of my darling little bundle reaching one, kind of a milestone and turning point . Baby days gone, toddlerdem and rascaldem here we come. Still at least he's not talking yet .

Well, am well back into work now, more's the pity. Would rather be a SAHM still but am trying to remain philosophical about it all and at least the bills are paid and there's decent food on the table.

Most of the time I feel like a hybrid Superwoman doing a million jobs all at once and all the time feeling like there's something at the back of my mind that I've forgotten to do. How's everyone else doing at being Superwoman ?? and do you need to go on a training course to do it, cos if so I think I missed it. Even in my super duper organised organisation I feel like there's not enough time in the day. I know I set my standards too high, but hey some things never change !

DS1 GOT HIS FIRST CHOICE OF SCHOOL. It's a brilliant school and the best in the local area so we are really pleased and (double wink) 4 1/2 months to go and he'll be all theirs five days a week . He seems to be sprouting atm, his legs seem to shoot up on a daily basis. He's ready to go to school now if anything, just the summer hols to get through!

I have the day off today, which makes a lovely change. Just need some sun now !! This time last year I was sunbathing but then again nothing but nothing could compare to last year in terms of summer rain weather. Hoping and praying it does not repeat itself.

Apologies if I have missed anything major, give all the April babies a a great big hug from me, wishing a Happy Birthday to all the babies I have missed and Happy Birthday to all the ones still to come !!!

Onwards and upwards - you never know - I may be back in time for their second birthdays .

Happy Birthday Theo and Jesse

Am in uproar here today...... Am emptying my kitchen in preperation for the man starting work on it tomorrow, and tbh it hadn't really hit me just how hard it is going to be I need to put all this stuff somewhere, but I can't pack it away as I am still going to need to use most of it.........

I know it will be worth it in the end but .....

to make matters worse, i really need to be getting on with James' appeal as I had a very helpful phone call informing me that i need to have everything sent to them by the end of the week, as they are bringing the date forward.

Does that mean they have got a lot of appeals, or not many?

sorry for being so self absorbed x

oooggs · 07/04/2008 13:29

Ange ? looking at the C8

Weeonion ? not in nursery til Wednesday (wed ? all day, thurs ? all day & fri am)

Happy Birthday ? Theo & Jesse

Leaky ? sorry about grandad and pleased Eva is doing well

Katy ? how?s work going?

Have had a stressful morning but Jack has proper walking shoes my baby!!

Last night could have been worse to date. DH and I about to go to bed at 11pm and Erin starts, eventually settled her at 12.45am, Jack up at 1am til 1.30am. At 2am James is screaming that he can?t find his bed found him totally disorientated in the middle of his room, he wanted me to stay and when I woke up it was 5.30am. Made way back to my bed and dh alarm went off at 5.55am!!!! Which woke Erin who was asleep in travel cot in our room [grrrrrrr]

Tonight can only be better ? when am I going back to work for a rest????

The sun is shining and I've had a glass of wine on a Monday to celebrate Theo's birthday .

He's such a cutie .

And still the birthday boy .

NorthernLurker · 07/04/2008 16:51

I'm in the midst of making buns - for anyone out there feeling frustrated and angry - WO & Mammyjo? - get yourself some yeast and start kneading - very therapeutic!

Sexonlegs · 07/04/2008 18:34

Evening all.

Happy Birthday Smole and Jesse. Hope you have had lovely days.

Pinions, you still on the wine??

Read stuff an hour ago and then got dragged off to play - with the dd's I hasten to add!

WO, I am so sorry that your work are being such a bunch of buggers and that you feel the need to resign. Constructive dismissal???

Caz, good luck with the kitchen clear out, and the appeal.

POTC, how exciting re the Daily Telegraph. My parents get it, so will ask the to keep hold of it. Let us know when you will be making your guest appearance

SPB, hope your first day back went well and that T was ok today.

NL, enjoy your bun making .

Brain drained. Need to bath the girls, so back later on. xx

NorthernLurker · 07/04/2008 18:43

My buns are fabulous!!!!!!

NorthernLurker · 07/04/2008 18:45

Actually - do you think we could get away with a thread title of 'April 2007 - we've got fabulous buns over here' - or will we get complaints?

They are good though - risen like a dream. I think I might try bread next or pizza - never done homemade pizza dough.....

Pesha · 07/04/2008 19:04

Sexonlegs · 07/04/2008 20:06

I meant Jesse and Theo !

And that was before I hit the red wine

Glad the buns are arising!!

Octothechildherder · 07/04/2008 20:07

It was a 2 litre navy blue one - not electric windows - please google it before you buy - the problems with it are endless.

Well within the first week the boot kept locking/unlocking itself to the point where it thought a door was open and wouldn't lock any door at all. The windows would open at odd times like when in the supermarket , the extra heater under the chassis used to pump out smoke and it looked like we were one fire - in fact a friend did think we were on fire once and leapt back out of the car! we eventually got rid of it in september after having if for 10 months when something when wrong with the filter system and it would cost £1800 to fix .

I now have a Honda (again) and wished had never bought the blimin C8 - what a waste of money.
