How interesting Liath! That would make me 'acceptable' again rather than 'old fashioned' - I weaned at 4 mths plus - 1 meal a day.

liath · 10/04/2008 16:50

Hopefully she's going to email me some stuff about it. I could post about it in the weaning section of MN then run away !

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 16:53

you'd have to run far and fast!

Sexonlegs · 10/04/2008 18:08

Afternoon ladies.

WO, the naming ceremony for C sounds lovely.

No idea how much K weighs, but I think probably about the 19 pound mark. Haven't her weighed for about 10 weeks!

How is everyone? I still feel rough as a badgers arse. Can't wait for dh to come home and take over.

Had a lovely afternoon. We went to see Fungus the Bogyman at the theatre, and it was fabulous. Really amusing - I thnk I enjoyed it more than B.

Bramshott, we bought our trailer from an ebay site based in Germany. I'll try and find the linl later and post it.

Back later.

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 18:23

Hi guys Definitely not feeling right, all dizzy and coldy and sore eyed ..... oh well .....

Absolutely PMSL @ 124 children

Doobydoo · 10/04/2008 18:44

Excellent re 124 children. It will probably feel like itSorry there is so much illness and sad news at the moment.
The naming ceremony sounds lovely WEEONION.C is absolutely beautiful and seems to be managing very well on small portionsDon't think it sounds that small though.M eats more somedays than others and ds1 has always been a picky eater and looks like he will be tall.
Fab about free prescriptions in Wales!
Over here it is 45 euros to see the doctor and approx 11-15 euros for the antibiotics for M.He has had 3 lots because of his ears.He has back teeth coming and they are driving him mad.[and me].
Hope I can get a Telegraph on SATURDAY FOR YOUR INTERVIEW potc.
M in bed so am going to tidy and cook tea and drink wine.

Doobydoo · 10/04/2008 18:59

Actually.thinking about it.All the babes and siblings I have seen so far are rather gorgeous.I would like to put some of ds1 and M up but feel abit weird about putting their pics on net.But would like to share them with you.It is lovely to see the babies and will be interesting to 'watch'them grow

penpotEca · 10/04/2008 19:38

hello all

finally home . Am ssooooooooo tired. Myself and dh were working at a conference for 5 days. Thought it would be ok, nanna came along to look after T, but T decided to MELT DOWN! He was feeding all night long, waking, screaming, anything but sleeeeeping... etc etc and we were doing 12 hour days. I'm so pleased to be home and looking forward to my own bed. And T has gone down in his cot tonight without a wimper!

Had a quick catch up, can't remember much but happy birthdays !! To all the babies who have clicked up their 1st birthdays!

Pesha · 10/04/2008 19:46

Not read thread yet but thought you would all want to see this thread if you haven't already, Caz especially.

Petition to stop the neglected horses being returned to owner in Amersham

oooggs · 10/04/2008 20:04

Bramshott - I think it goes up to 8 years old. James is 4.4 but is tall, will check his height tomorrow.

wow at all these petit children - no chance of mine being small with DH being 6'4" and I am 5'8".

Nursery went even better today - hurray and on the way home we stopped at the Barbers and all the boys had a hair cut - ds2 looks so cute

I weaned ds1 at 16 weeks & 1day and dts at 15 weeks - naughty oooggs [slap]

Sexonlegs · 10/04/2008 20:32

POTC, what's up? Please don't do a disappearing act.

StealthPolarBear · 10/04/2008 20:38

Hi everyone
Just done a massive catch up
NL, sad news, how awful fr her family
Dippy, hope you are ok
Like sol, I thought the next jab was the MMR at 13 months here - will have to check if he needs this booster
I am free! T went to bed really early tonight, not sure why
Apparently he was painting at nursery today, which I assume means dipping his hands in it and smearing it around - rather them than me! Like the bad mummy I am I forgot to ask to see what he had painted, so popping in tomorrow to see

oooggs · 10/04/2008 20:48

hey katy - how you and T feeling? less stressed/all better?

ellie - stay in touch x

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/04/2008 20:57

I just feel yucky
been lurking all evening but didn't feel i could post

why is it that even though there was nothing between me and sofa boy, i'm still really upset that he has a new gf?

in fact, i know why, it's cos she'll stop us being as close as we are. and because he didn't warn me it was happening.

head hurts
need to cry some more
he's here so i'm making him suffer my grumpyness

xx

OP posts:
penpotEca · 10/04/2008 21:14

poc. Not been around recently, but had seen some of your sofa boy posts. Am quite that he's got a new gf if he cares for you. Do you think he might be trying to make you jealous?????

Eddas · 10/04/2008 21:20

hi everyone, just got back from my tesco party shopping

POTC, can understand being upset at sofa boys gf, maybe eca's right and it's to make you jealous? It's hard when a male friend gets a gf as the gf always gets sus about a female friend and in the end the man sides with the gf and doesn't see the friend as much, so I can see where you're coming from. Doesn't help though

Hope you feel better soon. Are you still going to court on monday? Is that playing on your mind too?

Pesha · 10/04/2008 23:46

Have caught up now (in amongst doing other things - have not spent all this time reading!!) but cant remember alot

MJ - how awful about the gallstones and pain Hope you're feeling better today

Eddas and Dippy - sorry about the ear and eyes but glad your drops seem to be working.

NL - how about the TA, glad the children seem to be coping with it ok though.

SPB - glad T seems to be picking up now and has slept well tonight. And glad that you are enjoying being back at work.

Pinions - sorry you had such a bad night. We will be getting mmr for D same as I did for older 2.

POTC - about sofaboy. I used to have a really good male friend (started off as more than friend's but we soon realised we were better as mates), used to go clubbing and dancing loads and shopping and then pub on Friday afternoons! Was great!! I moved and we lost touch a bit but then he got a new gf who knew some of our history and really didnt like him spending time with me anymore Still see him ocassionally but hardly ever. But then we had started to drift apart slightly anyway, you and sofaboy still very close and seeing loads of each other so should be able to keep good friendship going but I understand why you are about it.

I am still feeling ill. Fine in mornings but from early afternoon start to get slightly fevery, achey and very tired and also have weird bump at base of my skull on right side that very tender

D's ezcema is getting worse, has a few patches on his neck/jaw line on one side and now a patch on his chest and 1 on his knee Have appointment with consultant as follow up to weight issues so will talk to him about it then.

Car insurance people are sending case to senior engineer for assessment so have had to send loads of print offs of similar cars for sale in current market place. Cheapest priced at a grand more than they're offering and most expensive £2.5k more so hoping that'll help bump them up a bit. Problem is courtesy car has to go back next friday so not sure what we're gonna do then

House swap being a nightmare, other woman SOOOO bloody fussy but have found another potential swap for me so fingers crossed!

Also found out that my friend's dd is really quite poorly. She was 1 in Jan and been failure to thrive. They thought she was dairy intolerant but friend thought there was more to it. She would go yellow on ocassion and hv told her it was just her way of going pale Friend chased it up and had bllod tests done this week. She is allergic to protein so they have to go on a course to find out how to feed her healthily. But they have also found out there is more wrong and have done more blood tests which should be back monday. She had ammonia in her blood which I think is connected to liver problems so would fit with the jaundice. Blood tests were biked to Bristol as priority so they're obviously quite worried. Really hoping its nothing too serious

elkiedee · 10/04/2008 23:46

Hi everyone

had a work team meal at a restaurant near work, so was back late and looking at something I couldn't look up from work.

NL, sorry to hear about the worker at your school.

Runny, I agree with Eddas if it's any help, tempting though being able to afford a bigger house sounds, I'm not that keen on new build houses. But anyway, if it might be years before it's built, you might as well see where prices go in the next few months, it might be that where you are holds its current value more than the new properties do and then if you wanted to go for it, you'd have less of a jump.

Eddas, I really giggled at the idea of 124 kids coming to your party, and then thought it has to be a mistake when you said only 10 adults (more than 12 each, sounded unlikely!)

POTC, sorry you're feeling miserable. But don't disappear on us, or if you do, at least talk to someone. And your article - does that mean it's not this coming Saturday but the next one?

Goodnight!

Pesha · 10/04/2008 23:48

That was much longer than I'd realised

Pesha · 10/04/2008 23:56

Hi Elkie

Night Elkie!

Just been googling and not quite sure how she can be allergic to protein Information coming from friend's sister who is my best friend so maybe gotten a bit confused somewhere. But still obviously a serious allergy if they have to go on a course for a week to find out how to feed her

Anyway must really go to bed now as am shattered and feeling rough and have been for hours!

StealthPolarBear · 11/04/2008 08:07

Morning everyone
Pesha, are you still having the flu symptoms? Are you going back to the docs, or is it normal to go on this long? (never had flu)

Sexonlegs · 11/04/2008 08:13

Morning all.

Quiet here last night.

POTC, I reckon sofa boy is trying to make you jealous. All psychological stuff.

Pesha, poor poorly baby. Hope the tests show something that is not too dreadful.

Morning SPB.

Feel pants again today and have both girls and no plans. Had plans to meet a school friend of B's but it fell through.
Thankfully the weather is lovely.

Right, need to haul myself in to the shower.

Back later.

StealthPolarBear · 11/04/2008 08:17

What's up SOL?
