We've got a fixed rate atm.

We've got a fair bit of equity in our house. And without sounding a bit thing, it is a nice house. Just a regular 3 bed semi, but in a really sought after location. Houses rarely go up for sale, and when they do, its usually sold pretty quickly. We've still got some bits to do, which could get us a better price.

Dh has been looking at the new estate plans, and has already chosen the plot Turns out the section that "our" plot is in might not be built for a few years.

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:31

All sounds pretty good then - wait and see what happens over the next few months - if the house isn't even built yet?

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 12:35

Really hope you can sell quickly RH

Sexonlegs · 10/04/2008 12:38

Hi folks.

NL, so sorry to hear about the ta. How awful.

Dippy, hope you are ok - you sound v stressed atm.

Runny, a lovely new home. No cracks, no rusting pipes......

Pinions, oh dear. What a night. Hope the docs are helpful.

I thought we had had all the jabs as men c was included at the jabs we had at 8, 12 and 16 weeks. As far as I am aware it will be the MMR next which we will have - B had it with no probs.

Feel awful today too. Bit dizzy and headachy, and voice all croaky.

At least I only have B today. So far we have been trampolining (not me!) and are going to the theatre this afternoon.

Back later. xx

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 12:40

Noooooooooo

You're not meant to agree with dh you're meant to say stay where you are, W was born there, you've got nice neighbours etc

Anyhow, we I've decided that we're going to carry on redecorating our house, as planned, and just keep in touch with the developers as to when our "ideal" plot would be built.

Really should go, as I should've been tidying this morning, but have been on 'puter instead.

have a nice day
x

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:46

I didn't realise W was born there - that does make it harder actually. i feel bad enough about leaving here where I've bought both dd2 and B home too for the first time

SOL - there should be a HIB booster and a meningitis C one as well I think - plus the MMR.

Eddas · 10/04/2008 12:46

oh dilema rh, personally i'm not keen on new builds. Just my opinion but i wouldn't want to move into one.

SOL, the jab at 12months is

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:47

B has had a very BLW lunch Tuna sandwich, rice cakes, raisins, apple and some cheerios - but I've got loads done!

Sexonlegs · 10/04/2008 12:53

Bugger. More jabs then. You're right, the red book doesn't say anything.

I assume they will send me a note soon as K turns 1 next Sunday.

Eddas · 10/04/2008 12:57

i got a letter about ds' last week(friday I think) so you'll probably get one soon

i'm off out tonight to the huge Tesco or Asda nearby to get the food for ds' party plus any party bag bits i haven't got yet I love party food. We have 124 kids and probably 10 adults coming it was supposed to be a small do, oops I have cancelled the family coming over on sunday though as I just can't face 2 lots of loads of people coming over. We can have a nice quiet day with ds on his birthday instead

Sexonlegs · 10/04/2008 13:05

124 kids??????????

Eddas · 10/04/2008 13:18

pmsl, erm i meant 14

weeonion · 10/04/2008 13:21

eddas - 124 kids!!!! i defiently wouldnt even know 124 kids never mind be able to invite that number!!!!!!!

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 13:23

Eddas - have you put a 'shout' out on radio 1 about ds's party........hordes of toddlers crashing it??

weeonion · 10/04/2008 13:26

oh 14 - that sounds more manageable!!!

NL - that is really sad news about the woman from school. i bet the kids are distraught.

we are well into th throes of gettingstuff sorted for caoimhes naimg day on saturday. i tmakes me that loads of people think it is the scottish name for a christening. it is more defiently NOT a christening. dp and i are making speeches. i am not getting mor nervous at the thoughth of standing up there in front of friends and family to talk - more intimidating than a conference full of people! dp is absolutely kakking it though - never done any speeches / public speaking before in his life. he wants to do it for C tho'. he says that this is where role modelling starts!

i just bought a lovely book to do for c as part of her birthday gifts. its called the mothers book - have any of you seen / got it??

off to write yet more stroppy emails to my arsey boss. why can he just not grasp simple points, instead of insisting on sticking to the rut he has created. arghhhhhhhhhhhh

anyone want to run away to the circus with me??

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 13:37

I really need to get a grip - WO - your dp wanting to do a speech for C - even though it's not his thing has made me well up!

Off to hv etc now - back later

weeonion · 10/04/2008 13:41

i got C weighed. she is 21 lbs so hasnt managed to triple her birth weight. i am not woried at all. she has stayed on the same centile the whole way through. she is right up at the top end of the scale for height - hardly surprising as her dad is a big long drink of a thing! how she manages to put on anything though is a mystery given how little she eats. surely 2 bits of pasta, a wee burger and a speck of taost arent enough!

Bramshott · 10/04/2008 15:02

I have been lurking, but feel very dull and have nothing useful to say!

Mammyjo - sorry to hear about your gallstones. Hope you can get it sorted without having them out. My friend had gall bladder pain and said it was worse than labour!

Oooggs - you posted a while back with a link to an ebay shop where you'd got a trail-bike for J. Can you post it again and tell me which one you have?

oooggs · 10/04/2008 15:02

just had a lovely lunch at the pub feeling fat & full & off to collect my brood

oooggs · 10/04/2008 15:03

its a tag a long bike - looking for it now Bramshott

oooggs · 10/04/2008 15:07

tag bike for James & trailer for Erin & Jack.

Can't remember how much we paid for tag bike - but it is great and the trailer only arrived last week and we haven't used it yet!!

Bramshott · 10/04/2008 15:21

Thanks Oooggs - that was quick! What age will it fit him up to would you say? It's for N, who is 5 but small - only about 1 metre tall.

I am trying to solve my product dilemmas this afternoon as DH has foolishly told me we have lots of money in the account! Ordered a shoe rack, sent DH the tag a long bike link, now just need to choose a wardrobe for N - I want one with at least one drawer (but not as many as three drawers), solidly built, and not too dark. Anyone any recommendations? I will spend up to £150.

liath · 10/04/2008 15:28

LOL at 124 kids!!!!.

Ooooch, Mammyjo - you poor thing.

Glad work has been OK SPB and T's tummy is settling.

Definitely going for MMR here. It can be tricky, the whole vaccine thing because I suppose you're exposing your fit and healthy child to something which could harm them without any guarantee that your child would have caught the illness you're vaccinating against. However, I'm not convinced enough by any evidence against vaccines and would rather my kids didn't get measles (which people seem to have forgotten can be a very nasty illness indeed) or meningitis etc etc. There's a measles outbreak here at the moment which is a worry.

I am sick of this weather.....

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 16:05

Back from school, It was very strange and sad with some very serious little faces. Generally though the kids are doing fine - it's the parents who are in a state. So terribly sad.

On a happier note - got B weighed - 19lb 5oz. WO - we are a long way off tripling her birth weight! She's still exactly on the 25 centile for weight and had crept slightly above the 50th for height.

liath · 10/04/2008 16:34

I'll have to add ds to the midget stats - he's 8.4kg today.

He was weighed today as follow up to the breast feeding study I was taking part in. Found out some inetresting stuff from the woman doing the study (not least that I've lost over 2kg and my body fat percentage has dropped ) but also she said there had been some big study suggesting that solids should actually be introduced between 4 and 6 months and the whole waiting to 26 weeks to avoid allergies might not be so important as the WHO made out !!! No wonder epople take guidelines with a pinch of salt...
