Yep, I booked older 2 into nursery all day (usually go only in pm) as I just feel rotten and just couldn't cope with having them at home. P is sleeping, but I am not tired enough to lie down iykwim - I just feel all bluerghy and I have work to do I just need a break, change of scenery, bit of head space, I think .....

How's you sweetie? xx

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 10:50

I'm ok - dodging paperwork but not looking forward to getting girls from school really. It will be very sad.

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 10:57

Morning

NL - what sad news x
Dippy - apart from the eyes, I know exactly where you're coming from. Dh works such long hours, he may as well be away
So much needs doing around the house, and its stuff that I can't do (well, I'd have a go, but would probably worse than before)
J has been in a strange mood the past week or so. If he was 10 years older I'd say it was hormones Maybe its to do with the clocks changing, who knows?
Caught my head on the bathroom shelf last night (bent down to pick up washing, and whacked when I lifted my head up) How the hell the shelf is still on the wall, I'll never know. Still aches a bit this morning.

Am playing truant from work this morning Been to meeting at J school, about him starting in September (which work knew about) except it has finished earlier than I thought. So I'm going to ring them in the next 20mins or so, and ask them if they want me to go in. Bearing in mind that it takes me about 30mins to get there, and I finish at 1.30. I know I won't get paid, which is a bummer, but right now, I think my time is better spent on MN tidying the house.

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 11:00

Work is so boring atm, which really doesn't help. They are still waiting for my computer (bearing in mind I've been there 6wks) All I am doing is filing, and errands.

Its really making me question why I work....

Esp as after nursery fees and petrol, I have no money left.

Doobydoo · 10/04/2008 11:07

Happy Birthday to the babies todaySo sorry to hear your sad news NL.
Hope your eyes are starting to feel better CD.
vERY ODD RE THE menc REACTION.yOU MUST BE KNACKERED Pinions.
M won't be having MMR...DS1 didn't have it either.
Hope all have a good day.

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 11:12

and nursery have just rung to say that W has grizzly most of the morning. Think its his teeth again so they're going to give him some calpol.

that'll teach me to play truant...

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 11:24

I think you are perfectly justified in playing truant RH Good for you!!

oooggs · 10/04/2008 11:42

pinions - I'm sorry it was a bad night

have just booked dts HIP (have it at 12 mths)for next friday pm and will book MMR when that is done (have it at 13 mths)

NL -

rh - there is always loads to be done

MJ - how you feeling?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Evelyn & Hensens ds

been to drs and have something for my mouth, and my inhalers and my thingy runs out tomorrow

oooggs · 10/04/2008 11:43

our night with Jack was also crap and he hasn't had his jabs yet

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 11:46

W has his meningitis jab next Thurs. Was meant to have it this afternoon, but after his pneumonia etc, me & the HV put it back a week. Think he has MMR at 13/14mths. I know J had his about 14mths.

Mil is looking after boys this afternoon while I go and get W birthday presents

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 11:49

W is a really light sleeper, so we're going to put them in seperate bedrooms.

I know, it doesn't sound like a big deal, and we're lucky we've got the bedrooms to do it, but it means that we've got find a new home for the computer, tumble drier, and loads of other crap stuff.

Just another headache for us me to sort out.

oooggs · 10/04/2008 11:52

we are aiming to do that had the builder round on tues evening with plans for our loft conversion - dreading the mess [aaaaaarrrrggggghhhh] but it will be fantastic and the floor space will be big and the ceilings not too low so excited but probably not until next year - in the meantime one of dts ends up in travel cot in our room most nights - great contraception

Eddas · 10/04/2008 11:57

hi everyone,

sorry to hear about the ta nl

cd, hope you are able to get a break soon.

Re the MMR, ds will have it. Dd had hers. I'm not looking forward to 10am next thursday as ds is booked in for some jabs(hib?) and dd has her preschool booster at the same time. Should be fun dd will be bribed with sweets and probably ds will be too I'll have calpol/neurofen on standby i think

Pinions, glad the doc is calling you back re ds' reaction

my ear feels a bit better today. Haven't had to take any painkillers, yet, so the drops must be working

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 11:59

I'm thinking that we might have a conservatory next year. We've got the outside space, and could turn it into playroom/study junk room

although dh seems to think we'd be better off moving, and took me to see a show home the other week not sure how we could afford it though....

do not envy the mess of an extension

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 12:03

It will be sooooo worth it though, oooggs! Sorry about crap night

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 12:09

Hi Eddas!

oooggs · 10/04/2008 12:11

I looked at moving first (oooggs hates mess) but what the extension will give us would cost us at least £90,000 to move and then it may be the extras bedroom/s but I like the individuality, layout & space of the rest of our house, it is a self build from the late 70's and very different

cazboldy · 10/04/2008 12:12

Just nipping in - still chaotic here!

We had a powercut here last night from mid afternoon until 11.30pm......apparantly we were not a prority as only 2 houses were off and they said it would be 24 hrs til they could sort it

so there's me with my 5dc, and in the other house a woman with a 1 week old baby......I put my parts on a bit, and it got fixed in the end!

Had Molly weighed this morning and she is 20lbs 11 now

Happy Birthday to any babies I have missed xx

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:13

wondered where you were yesterday Caz

Pinions · 10/04/2008 12:15

Literally don't think I've ever been so TIRED.

Good to hear reassurance re MMR, they just seem to be so tiny to be sticking big fat needles into . I value everyone's opinion re the MMR jab, and think we will be going for it again with T, will just have to be brave on the day .

Can I stay awake long enough to get L to and from nursery?

Nightmare - I HATE being this tired.

runnyhabbit · 10/04/2008 12:17

We went to have a look at a new estate being built very close to J new school. 4 bed detached, and its being built by a localish builder. the rooms were very generous, and really well laid out.
I really, really hoped that it was priced out of our reach, but it wasn't. Which makes seem like a real possibility, iyswim. It would mean an extra £50k on our mortgage. Which I know sounds like a lot, but when we worked everything, its very nearly affordable.

In a strange way, I wish we couldn't afford it. Then dh wouldn't keep going on

oooggs · 10/04/2008 12:22

oh runny you know you want too

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:25

could you get a good fixed rate do you think? And how hard would it be to sell your current house? it's taken us 6 mths to sell ours - and I'm still waiting for something to go wrong....

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2008 12:25

Right. DH home as going to wolf some lunch, get P off to nursery and get off to work .... laters .....

NorthernLurker · 10/04/2008 12:27

Have a good afternoon dippy - don't eat too fast - you'll get indigestion!
