We aren't doing a party for K! In fact, we are going to our friends, who was my midwife and she is even making the cake !!

Eddas, hope your eardrops start working soon.

Can't believe the price of a prescription.

mammyjo · 09/04/2008 20:42

Come and live in Welsh Wales, the prescriptions here are free! Just as well with what I was given today, would have cost me a fortune!!

NorthernLurker · 09/04/2008 20:44

Good grief Mammyjo - that's a bit dramatic! Hope you feel lots better soon.

eddas - poor you - similar wishes for recovery

Sexonlegs · 09/04/2008 20:45

Right, I am moving to Wales!! I didn't realise they were free there.

Watching Property Ladder - the place in Hampshire is about 5 miles from here.

Eddas · 09/04/2008 20:48

thanks nl and sol, i think mj wins hands down on the being ill front. As much as my ear hurts i'm sure gallstones must be a lot more painful!

at the free prescriptions mj. Moving to wales maybe a little extreme just for that reason though

NorthernLurker · 09/04/2008 20:51

What about Dippy though - I think she's put up a good fight in the being ill stakes - eyes stuck together is rather dramatic!

April mums - be nervous - now all the babies have been ill it's obviously our turn I wonder if the beastly dizzy bug I had last week exempts me or if there is something Much Worse around the corner....

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2008 20:54

Bloody hell MJ
If you need anything (picking E from school etc) give me a call x

Hi everyone else

Dh is away tomorrow night, and has promised a chinese tonight[yum] but he's acting all stroppy for some reason best go and ask him whats occurring (Gavin & Stacey fans know what I mean )

NorthernLurker · 09/04/2008 20:55

oooh Runny - meant to say it was lovely to hear that W is back to normal - don't kids recover quick! Takes you much longer to feel normal again though doesn't it?

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2008 20:57

NL, know what you mean. He's completely forgotten about it, but I've aged about 10 years.

Eddas · 09/04/2008 20:58

ah yes dippy's eyes, not sure who'll win in the 'my illnesses is worse than yours' stakes, not me though it hurts and all that but if mj says it's like labour then in comparison i feel like i'm being stroked with feathers

You might be onto something with babies/dc then us NL, we had cp before christmas then ds had the d&v bug then they both had/have conjunctivitis(although not eyes stuck together so not bad cases)

everyone lock yourselves away, no contact with anyone

Sexonlegs · 09/04/2008 21:00

Yep, only a matter of time before us poor mothers run ragged by looking after ailing children succumb to some illness or other [martyr]!!

NorthernLurker · 09/04/2008 21:01

Worried now - i can't be ill - I've got too much to do! I'm off to hide on the sofa and watch the apprentice - back later

StealthPolarBear · 09/04/2008 21:03

mammyjo, hope you improve over the next few days
CD and Eddas, hope you're getting better soon too xx
elkie, glad your mum is back
All well here, enjoying work more than I thought I would! T seems to have a few days of normal then a one-off diarrhoea, hoping it's just the bug working its way out of his system. He loves being with mum and seems OK at nursery.
Well how quickly did I start talking poo again?
Hope everyone is OK, will be back on on Friday I'm sure, this is the first time I have had a spare 5 mins all week...someone tell me it gets easier!

Eddas · 09/04/2008 21:04

i reckon it's all this weather changin business. One day it's snowing and the next is warm and sunny

Right i'm off to bed ladies, must do drops first

night

Sexonlegs · 09/04/2008 21:06

SPB, it does get easier, although still manic! Glad T seems a bit better.

Wow Eddas, an early night for you! Sleep well x

elkiedee · 09/04/2008 21:07

Ooh The Apprentice. Can't believe I've got hooked on watching such an unpleasant bunch of people - the last series was one of the things that I found really helpful in those first few weeks of waking up to feed D/attempt to express etc last year - I'd never watched the first two, but I got drawn into the showings of the Martha Stewart version late in my pregnancy. What can I say?

elkiedee · 09/04/2008 21:14

MJ, I'm sorry to hear about your suspected gallstones, it sounds horrible and I hope they're able to sort you out soon. I hadn't realised prescriptions are free in Wales.

Eddas, hope the ear infection gets better soon.

Perhaps it's ill health and work/tiredness keeping us quiet?

We're planning a picnic in the park for Danny's birthday - it just happens to be the day before a bank holiday. If anyone fancies coming to north London on 4 May, let me know, you'd all be welcome. And if the weather's horrible that day, you'll know who's to blame! (me not the baby of course)

Sexonlegs · 09/04/2008 21:22

Loving The Apprentice!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/04/2008 21:52

calm down dear
I started chatting to the bloke on Monday, met him for the first time today, I think hat's may be a little premature
