Congratulations Caz - details please ....glad you had a nice time with E!

NorthernLurker · 03/04/2008 19:24

Hi Dippy - how have you been today?

B and I had a nice time at the outlet. I got her a lovely bowl and plate at Whittards. Other than that I think my highlight was lunch at the Pizza Hut Express - such a cute pizza - yum!

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 19:42

T has taken his first step!
Amazing what they learn at nursery

Doobydoo · 03/04/2008 19:44

OOh congrats spb and T.

elkiedee · 03/04/2008 19:48

Congratulations to Caz and Dippy on their new nieces. Are their mums on mn?

Dippy, when are you going to test?

I have quite long, irregular cycles, not unusual for it to be 6 weeks. I thought the photocopier room smelt funny today, last time that happened I went and bought a test (that was September 2006) but I don't think it's possible for it to be that this time. I'd be nervous of being pushed into a festive season induction if it was, would prefer to have a baby at a time of year when motorways and trains aren't so crazy too.

CaptainDippy · 03/04/2008 19:51

I'm ok - all quiet after shouting VERY loudly at the girls at least four or five times

Yawn!!

Bless you and B's "cute pizza" NL and yey for 1st steps SPB

I have had the crappest day ever

We went to Avon Valley Country Park - ernie stuck his finger into the rabbit hutch and it nearly took off the end of his finger - had to go to RUH to have paper stitches put on it.

Then when got home I got a phone call to say a friend I used to work with died suddenly last friday, leaving behind two beautiful children and husband I am so shocked - we weren't really close but still upsetting. I'm not going to the funeral or anything - will send a card.

Off to drink lots of wine and have early night x

NorthernLurker · 03/04/2008 20:17

Oh Octo - how terrible

And poor ernie - the rabbit bit him! Oh dear.

weeonion · 03/04/2008 20:21

oh octo - poor ernie. hope he is ok! rabbits can be wicked buggers at times.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:25

Thanks - the wine is working and moondogs thread on Mcdonalds is cheering me up!

oooggs · 03/04/2008 20:30

Oh Octo for you re your friend. and poor Ernie.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:36

There was a lot of screaming and all my friends who are first time mums flailing about very helpfully and the whole place turned to watch .... once the bleeding stopped and got him into the car he was fine. Took about an hour to sort him out at hosp and then he had a big sleep - probably out of shock. He keeps showing me the plaster on his finger like he wants me to take it off - but think he is doing it when it hurts aswell

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:40

Going back to my friend - it was her 4 year old who found her

Doobydoo · 03/04/2008 20:41

Ah poor little thing.I can picture itI expect he will be up and at 'em tomorrow thiugh.I suppose it could be sore.Did the hospital use steristrips to hold the wound together?
How big is it?

mamiguay · 03/04/2008 20:42

ok well I haven't caught up properly yet but got as far as SPB and CD getting all teary over the thought of a new baby and I have to say I think you ARE TOTALLY INSANE. Both of you. Bonkers. The idea of a second is there but it is so distant it doesn't even have an allocated seat on our five year plan I love N truly, madly, deeply but another one? Now? In 9 months? Insanity I tell you

Ahem. Now where was I? Sympathies for crap families, I am really lucky with mine I have to say and can imagine that kind of thing would really upset me.

POTC - how on earth does Justin manage to lurch from one day to the next? Hope it goes well though, for Joe's sake. And have a lovely time splashing in the mud!

SOL - lol at demanding a cleaner - seeing as I am the main breadwinner I would be demanding it of myself. And I deny the request on lack of funds They do say you are your own worst boss

off to continue catching up now...

Doobydoo · 03/04/2008 20:42

Oh dear for your friends child. That is utterly awful. What a terrible shock.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:42

Doobydoo · 03/04/2008 20:45

I didn't even know rabbits bite

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:45

I just can't imagine how bad that is - for the whole family - the poor poor family - such a tragedy.

A memorial group has been set up on facebook for her called 'Thirza'.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:46

She might be five now actaully - she was 3 last time I saw her and is same year as Ted.

mamiguay · 03/04/2008 20:50

weeonion · 03/04/2008 20:52
