CaptainDippy · 03/04/2008 11:32

Ooooooh, WO - pure evil Yes, I was thinking - what about nappies!!?

Nope this is my BIL and his wife's 2nd children; but they live out in NZ so we never see them. Good news is, DH's sis is expecting her 1st in May and they live about an hour away

Held a 3m old baby in the shop on Tues - so was smiling away at me and smelt all yummy and milky - I couldv'e just eaten her all up I am sooooo broody!!!

CaptainDippy · 03/04/2008 11:33

Good luck, SPB!! what's your chickens Q??

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 11:37

How late Dippy? I really really hope this is the month! Would you believe I actually have tears in my eyes at the thought of it? Please let us know first (before your DH etc )
I'm broody too, but suppressing it - this is not the time!
my chicken (well, eggs) question

NorthernLurker · 03/04/2008 11:37

hmmmm interesting Dippy Keep us posted!

Congratulations on the new niece! Let us know the name when you do

Good plan SPB! Washing windows and everything

Well B and I are ready and off out - walk onto town I think and then bus to the designer outlet Not that I've any money for 'stuff' but it's a nice walk round

Whilst I was in the bath this morning B was in the bathroom and playing with the tub of sudocrem - one of her favourites. She managed to get the top off and her hand in. It's quite hard to get sudocrem off a baby - even with a lovely warm bath at your disposal

CaptainDippy · 03/04/2008 11:59

My DD1 once got hold of a tub of Sudocreme and lay in the middle of her rug (wooden floors) and merrily spread the offending cream all over her body, then all over the rug, the floors, the curtains, her bed .... it was one of those Super-Size tubs I was very at the time; but I can see the funny side of it now!!

I am 5 days late; but I don't want a Christmas baby!!!!

Doobydoo · 03/04/2008 12:09

Congrats on becoming an Auntie DippyWhen ar eyou going to do a test? I CAN'T WAIT

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 12:13

COme on test
5 days....
I managed to make it to 3 days, but I have (had?) and incredibly long cycle - I think that was day 40 )

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 12:33

well I've tidied the kitchen (a bit late according to list I think) and guess what, I think I've accidentally thrown out the list!
What was next? Coffee, biscuit and MN? I thought so

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 14:39

I am here and ALONE where are you all?

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 14:40

that sounded self pitying - I meant I have uninterrupted MN time!

weeonion · 03/04/2008 14:49

hi spb. i am here when meant to be tidying. c is at nursery and i am home alone. well - not quite alone as there is always mn. avoiding my list of chores prior to returning to work.

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 14:50

Weird wo - I could have written that post
How are you?

oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:00

hi all - been shopping with a friend to distract from not having children

OP posts:
weeonion · 03/04/2008 15:03

hi oooggs! how did they get on this morning?? i was up at 6am tryign to get out for 7.45. still couldnt do it! c wanted to take her time over breakfast - a leisurely pace, chatting to the cat, pointing at everything in the kitchenn with her toast. poor thing didnt know what was going on with a manic mum rushing her!

spb - not too bad here. how was t last night?

oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:07

woken by E at 6.50am & she had a bottle, left house at 8.20am and at nursery at 8.40am. I was showered, hair dried & dressed, all had breakfast and children all washed and dressed, kitchen tidy and beds made - except mine dh still asleep

tomorrow they finish at 12.30 so need to get there by 7.30am but they will have breakfast at nursery

OP posts:
oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:08

dropped them in their room first and they cried, took James to his room and when I walked past them again they were playing.

oh they don't half try us out don't they!!!

OP posts:
weeonion · 03/04/2008 15:09

bloody hell oooggs - you put me to shame! i had no breakfast, the kitchen was (is) a tip and i have idea how it all took so long!
how long do your ones take over breakfast / meals when at home. C doesnt eat a great deal but can still stretch those 5 mouthfuls out to 45 mins!

oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:14

remember I have had a practice run with ds1, and when he started nursery I didn't think I was ever going to be there by midday - so you (and Katy) are doing great

breakfast (apart from Erins bottle, Jack had his at 4am) is self feed. Raisins, Shreddies (shops own) with a splash of milk & a banana (sometimes toast if time). So while they are doing that I can tidy kitchen, eat myself, make beds, get clothes out etc....

my kitchen, dining room, bathroom and childrens bedrooms are on the same floor

OP posts:
oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:14

so the dcs are eating for about 20 mins but it is all self fed

OP posts:
oooggs · 03/04/2008 15:15

gotta go and get my children!!!!!!! back later

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 15:18

RIght, have hoovered, mopping next
wo we are exactly the same, T can make a crumpet last an hour!
Last night was not good, we went to bed at 9.30 he was up at 10.30 and then 11.30 when I brought him into our bed. No idea what he'd have been like if I hadn't - going to write off last night and hope tonight it better now we're all almost over our various illnesses
Right, mopping time

weeonion · 03/04/2008 15:23

right if its mopping time for you, its sweeping time for me!

StealthPolarBear · 03/04/2008 15:40

mopping done
don't think the ironing is going to get done, or the window cleaning, but why change the habit of a lifetime
We moved in in November - the iron is still to be unpacked
