Afternoon all !

Well had a fairly quiet weekend here we went out saturday night for a few drinks to spend dh winnings from the national. If anyone took notice of my post on the 1/4 you would be rich as I said complie or die !! Shame I dident back it too . Took aidan to his swimming lessons yesterday which he loved. Its bloody freezing today went I went to pick aidan up from school it started snowing what joy.

Vino/wilkie big poo and tampoons nice.

Susie bless you I hope you feel better soon and I also hope dh gets in touch.

Pcf how horrid of your sis not to invite you because of alex does she not realise its hard enough for you without your family turning there backs on you too. Glad max is walking.

Rat im glad you and dh had a good chat over the weekend its best to keep talking its when the conversation dries up you have to worry.

Rgee lol at you and your double post. Do you ever go to york races in the summer ? Maybe we could have a summer race meeting meetup we usually go to the night meeting at market rasen in august.

Eah lol at you being busy I no you are because you havent text back.

Loosh sorry that lo and dh is feeling unwell at least they have you to look after them.

Lizz THOMAS COOK how rude . No the vouchers would have to be redemed through them that hotel you picked looks really nice.

Where is dragonhart latley ?

SmoothandWilkie · 07/04/2008 15:39

Quick post

Susie - J 'posts' things down the stairs through the bannister. I walk down every morning after getting ready having to avoid toothbrushes/toys/a tampon (not used!!)/hairbrush/last night's knickers strewn down the stairs by my little precious (!) child.

looshkin · 07/04/2008 17:44

Yep can second all the new mess - ds particular favorite is posting stuff through the cat flap especially when it is raining much to the disgust of our cats.

Just got back from trying to buy more wool for the nativity - unfortunatley the nearest I can get to flesh colour was either grey (so look dead) or baby pink (look embarrassed or just weird) so will not be winning any prizes for this one.

We have spent the afternoon trying to sort out a new mortgage with dh's work - he works for a bank but I really did not understand the jargon so sat there nodded a few times then feined ooh must dash as parking meter about to run out - so left poor dh there to finish off heee heee and went shopping!.

Where are UD and LTH?

Off to feed a cat - they are on prison rations after the last vets bill.

laughalot · 07/04/2008 17:57

Oh which bank loosh ? You dont have to tell me.

laughalot · 07/04/2008 17:58

Meant to say I dont suppose anyone on here has a weight watchers switch book the one you get when you sign up with the points in ect ? Im starting it with eah im not joining the class but need the book.

eandh · 07/04/2008 19:26

why oh why oh why is HAttie just screaming and screaming, have given her calpol, milk, cuddle and scream scream scream.

To top it off because the warm water we had is now cold, dh went to my brothers to have a shower that took 40 mins and then he left my keys there so went back and took another 30mins (my brother lives 2 mins away) came in and warmed up his dinner (M&S cantonese chicken and rice) and ate it whilst I have been in from work, sorted girls, put washing on, did some ironing (whilst trying cc on hattie) put ellie to bed etc etc I have just lost it big time its now 7.20 my dinner just gone in oven (jacket potato to go with my chicken salad) I havent had a decent bath or shower instead boiled some water in kettle and mixed with some cold in bath and had a 2 inch bath, I havent even had a friggin drink since I got in, he is now upstairs trying to sort Hattie but I know he'll give up in a minute and put her inour bed which we agreed we wouldnt do

Sorry that was a rant wasnt it

Susie - yes mine fling food around (Ellie does it when she doesnt like something she 'accidentally' drops it off her fork ) like PCF Ellie helps tidy up toys whilst dinner cooking and Hattie knows her toys go in the big boxes and does put some bits away (I do have laminated labels on boxes/baskets with pictures on so the girls know which toys go where)

PCF - I missed the bit about your sister - have to say sounds out of order, hows Alex getting on with school now?

LAL - I found a few of my old WW books so enough to get going, so let me know ehrn you have yours and we'll start

I found UD on another thread, shes namechanged to Urbanixie (sp) and hijacked thread to say she hadnt been here for ages

Well manic day at work not only tax year stuff, but it was discovered a member of staff at a branch in our area had been doing fraudelent transactions/stealing, so sorted all the paperwork for displinary and arranged police to go to branch and arrest her (she had to be arrested and then given disciplinary as shes not allowed on company premises) the branch manager discovered one thing on friday afternoon and now its escalated at least £7000 but that may be the tip of the iceburg, she is only 21 and has probably wrecked her future working career

katwith3kittens · 07/04/2008 19:31

My advice to all those who block their loos

Get a mooncup......... go on, you know you want to

Dont think I dare say this, as I know I'll be tempting fate and he'll never do it again, but ever since I started that ignoring thing in the cot....

katwith3kittens · 07/04/2008 19:38

EaH ... I think you need a glass of something with that jacket potato.

What an excitement you have had !
I cant believe people do stupid things like that... do they not think they will get found out ? Madness.

And yes, I've got food on the floor too, in fact I'm surrounded by it ( I should be cleaning it up I suppose, but isn't it easier to MN ?) I dont get too hung up about food, its easy to clean up, and they soon grow out of it if you dont make it into a game of how to wind mum up !

Thats great kat!

The theft thing is not uncommon in the 10 years I have worked there, this is the 6th person within my area to have been caught, thi girl has been doing it since November, small amounts to start witha nd obviosly thought she'd got away with it as amount shave gone into the £1000's in February/March, she has covered her tracks well but there were suspicions on something completley different and a covert camera was installed and thats how its all been pieced together! The bank always prosecute so she'll have a crimninal record, in the past one of the people caught was a very good work friend, we alway travelled to courses together and had a real laugh I was when I came back form maternity leave after Ellie and found out about her!

susiecutiebananas · 07/04/2008 22:38

evening all

Glad it isn't just Izzy with the mess then. Was beginning to wonder... Well, actually just getting so pissed off with it.

I think its worse as it really hurts me, to keep bending down an pick things up and if I don't I end up stumbling on something and putting myself in more pain

Any of you slimming must join us over here.... nice slimming support thread!

Its a really nice, friendly thread, lots of regulars, quite a few of which are doing weight watchers. Katy, the thread started, months ago, has lost SO much on WW, and is brilliant support and knows all there is to know about it! But, you don't need to be on a specific diet, just trying to lose weight. Don't need to say your weight etc... tend to just give lots of morla support, talk about what we've eaten, how to get back on the diet ( too much for me! ) and some recipes...

Izzy finally asleep again. Still teething. Still no word from the arse hole DH. Shit head. ( sorry... just do upset and cross )

kat I have my mooncup, would NEVER go back
EAH Some people are SO stupid, do they really think that no-one will ever find out?
loosh I hope you will be posting pics of the finished article! sounds fantastic!
PC I'd find it very difficult to forgive my sister if she ever did that. must be so hard. what a strain on family relationships too. I hope you can talk to her about it? just not on at all. and for you.

vinorouge · 08/04/2008 08:13

Loosh you sound like me with mortgages. DH also works for a bank - HBOS - but its always me who ends up doing all the sorting out cos he works at head office and its easier for me to go to branch etc. I seem to understand it when I'm there but then worry afterwards that I haven't quite got it. Anway, seeing as we have just moved its sorted for a few years so I don't need to worry about it - just make sure that it gets paid!

E&H - hope the jkt pot was worth the wait! I had two friends over for tea last night who I've nto seen for ages so it was good to catch up and we had a good feed too. I made salmon parcels with veg then we had a lemony pudding with amaretti biscuits which went down well. Mum and I are making the wedding cake for one friend who was round so we sorted that out then Mum left.

Good luck with WW to all those doing it.

Susie - the idea of a mooncup does nothing for me. To me its one of those things that suits some people but doesn't suit others. Cos of the pill and then getting pregnant again its ages since I had a period so it will be a bit of a shock when one arrives later in the year / maybe next year if I'm lucky.

susiecutiebananas · 08/04/2008 09:12

vin I know what you mean about mooncups, Its exactly how I felt! Honestly. I can remeber someone a few years ago, sending me a real Piss taking email about them, and I just thought it was the most F*d up idea ever! I really did. Then, I read alot about it here, did a bit of research, heard SO many good testaments to it, that I thought, worth a go... I honestly would never go back. N the few occasions I've forgotten to sterilize it in time, and had to use something else, I honestly don't know how I usd the other stuff for so long, it wsa horrible. painful, uncomfortable, feared leaks etc... No, i'd not go back! Its worht a try, this is from a staunch, Anti mooncup person! ( until I used one )

well, we had a better night last night. Izzy woke at 2am, came to my bed and fell asleep again. She would have settled back i'm sure but i was to tired to try. Got up at 6am.

Just had a huge wee and poo on the chair. This time she just sat saying "Oh!!" looking at it. not touching thank god!

Hope you all have nice days, my cleaner is here today, so tryig to get some stuff up from floor! Just like shoveling snow whilst its snowing isn't?

take care all of you

2happy - poor you!
Hope the evening fares better in your household.

DJ's chicken pox is all scabbed up and he's back at nursery. Still has a sore nappy area though. Other than letting it all hang out to air (!) I'm not sure what will help his spotty willy to clear up. DP suggested talc????

Eah - that cream was fab, have recommended calamine aqueous to everyone I know. &My mum is a practice nurse, and has been recommending it to all her chicken pox suffering patients!

I booked our holiday today!
We are off to Alvor in Portugal for a week in June.
Its so complicated booking holidays I swear! Online the place we wanted in Menorca was totally affordable, but in the shop it was twice the price. Anyway, we are going half board as it wasn't much more than B&B and it means I don't have to cook! (t'was a big bargain - so don't be thinking I am posh!)
All I have to do now is sort out DJ's passport!!!!!!! oops!!!!

Hope all is well x

laughalot · 08/04/2008 17:19

I did portugal last year lizz its fab xxx

ratbunny · 08/04/2008 19:16

lizz - at your portugal holiday. we need to rebook ours, but I am lacking motivation at the mo. this is coming from someone for which travel is quite possibly the most important thing in life

susie - I love your analogy of shovelling snow while it's snowing! I know that feeling.. S completely trashes the house when hes up. he likes posting things through the stairgate, which makes going up and down the stairs pretty hazardous. and hiding the magnet for the cupboard locks- I found it in the washing machine the other day, after looking for it for about an hour.
but a CLEANER!!! what a great idea!

2h - lol at your song!

S was a nightmare last night - fever and wailing at 3am til 6. And I had work the next day. [tired emoticon]. I have no idea what it was, but he hasn't been whingy at nanny's today .
but we need to sort out a routine for his night wakings - I just get him in bed with me and then get no sleep. he wriggles, kicks, rolls on me, pokes me etc. we are going to try to settle him in his cot is it happens again tonight, but it's SO hard in the middle of the night.
His vocabulary is massive - it's surprising quite how much he understand, and he repeats everything. such as 'crap' and 'shit' . and ages ago i used to sing 'dinner dinner dinner dinner batman!' at dinner time, and he asks for dinner by saying 'batman' now . we really need to watch what we say.

eandh · 08/04/2008 19:45

Lol at the talking bunny DH was watching something on sky+ it was f this and f that and both of the girls were next to him, Ellie came in to the kitchent o tell me that Daddy was watching naughty words

Susie - pmsl at poo/wee comment I did have to read it twice to check you meant Izzy

2happy - oh no fingers crossed ds2 doesnt get it

Laughalot - I am all set for WW once you get bits from PCF, going to get Davina Mccall DVD as it seems to have quite a good write up

PCF - dh uncle has just moved really close to longleat and they have a camper van thing that sleeps 4 and said if we want to go for a couple of days in the summer we could use the van (think Ellie would love it!) hope you have a lovely day tomorrow

Hot water is all fixed and had a lovely long soak, should go upstairs and do some ironing now but....................cant be arsed

eandh · 08/04/2008 19:47

damn missed Lizz - that cream is fab isnt it my friend recommended it to me as Dr just told me to use calamine lotion
